MANY players leave Rangers having taken the club to heart.
And that's certainly the case for a former Light Blues hero who's been spotted making a return to Ibrox.

Goalkeeper Andy Firth made just one appearance for Rangers during his three-year stint at the club between 2019 and 2022.
The former Liverpool kid was snapped up by Steven Gerrard from Barrow and was largely third-choice keeper during his spell with the Gers.
Firth's only appearance came in May 2019 on the final day of the season against Kilmarnock, when he replaced an injured Wes Foderingham.
While he wouldn't see any further playing time, Firth went on to become a cult hero among the Light Blues support.
He was often front and centre of wild celebrations, including after the Gers' defeat of RB Leipzig to reach the Europa League Final.
Firth's contract expired in the weeks that followed the Seville showpiece and his time in Glasgow came to an end.
When his exit was confirmed, the stopper said it had been the "best time of my life" and that he had "lived the dream" at Ibrox.
Firth spent two years with Connah's Quay Nomads in Wales after leaving Rangers before heading for Saudi Arabia in 2024 as a goalkeeping coach for Al-Ettifaq, once again working under Gerrard.
While he's been away from Ibrox for three years, Firth's love for Rangers certainly hasn't gone away.
The former goalkeeper was in fact BACK at his former home stadium to take in the Gers' clash with Club Brugge on Sunday.

Wife Bethan shared a couple of adorable snaps on Instagram showing the family outside the Ibrox gates.
Their baby son Carter was wearing a Rangers top with his name and his dad's number, 13, on the back.
Firth shared the pictures to his own Instagram story, adding: "And all my sons, will be like me."
Those are lyrics from a chant led by the Gers ultras group the Union Bears.
It isn't the first time Firth has been to see Rangers in action since his departure from the club.
Just weeks after leaving, he was in the crowd for a pre-season clash at Blackpool three years ago.
While Gerrard left Al-Ettifaq earlier this year, Firth has remained in his role as goalkeeping coach since.

‘I loved it' – Boxer Savannah Marshall not giving up on MMA despite having to drop down to beginners class with teens

Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) SAVANNAH MARSHALL is not giving up on her career in MMA - despite having to start from the very bottom in the beginners class. Marshall began boxing aged 12 and admitted boredom started to creep up after over 20 YEARS of rinse and repeat. 6 Savannah Marshall began training in MMA in 2024 Credit: Instagram @aspinallbjj 6 She trains at Tom Aspinall's gym Credit: Instagram @zacfagan_ 6 She even had to start out in the beginners class Credit: Instagram @fightingforfitness85 6 She won her MMA debut in June 2024 Credit: PFL But last year, the boxing champion signed with the Professional Fighters League to make her debut in MMA. And she did so with victory over Mirela Vargas in June 2024 after training alongside UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall. But Marshall had to earn her stripes the hard way - which meant starting up with the other novices. She told SunSport: "I absolutely loved it, it's brilliant. "I was learning something new, I kind of got the spark back for it like competing again. I've boxed for 23 years now, so it's a long, long time. "I felt like an absolute novice for the first time in a long time, having to go to a beginner MMA class with 15 year old kids." After making her MMA debut, Marshall has been out of the ring since July 2023 when she beat Franchon Crews-Dezurn. But now Marshall returns on Friday in New York as part of a historic all-women's card airing on Netflix. 6 CASINO SPECIAL - BEST CASINO BONUSES FROM £10 DEPOSITS Katie Taylor headlines in a trilogy bout against Amanda Serrano - as Marshall meets Shadasia Green in a bout years in the making. "So for it to follow an all female bill and not only that on Netflix, is massive. "The numbers of Netflix pulls in beats Sky, TNT, it blows all those out of the water, so there's no bigger platform. I'm over the moon really." Marshall became undisputed super-middleweight champ when she beat Crews-Dezurn. Due to inactivity, Marshall, 34, only holds the IBF belt from her unified collection with opponent Green, 35, inheriting the WBO version. So Marshall - now signed to Jake Paul's Most Valuable Promotion - bids to win back the belt she never actually lost in the ring. She said: "She's got my belt. It's not really hers, is it? She's not really a world champion because she didn't beat the champion. "You can't really call yourself a world champion, you never boxed a champion."

Tyson Fury duped by Khabib Nurmagomedov video 'announcing' UFC return

Khabib Nurmagomedov has not fought since 2020, with the UFC legend insisting he will never return to the Octagon despite a recent AI video showing him 'announcing' his comeback Tyson Fury has been duped by an AI video suggesting UFC legend Khabib Nurmagomedov is coming out of retirement. Nurmagomedov, a former lightweight champion, retired from MMA after defeating Justin Gaethje in 2020. Since then, fans have been clamouring for the 'Eagle' to make a sensational return to the cage. The Russian made a promise to his mother five years ago that he would never fight again following his bout with the American. ‌ This vow was made shortly after the death of his father, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov. Last year, the 36 year old reiterated that there is 'no chance' of him returning to the ring. However, it seems Fury didn't get the memo. The 'Gypsy King' was fooled by an AI video recently circulated on social media, reports All Out Fighting. ‌ The video featured the 'Eagle' supposedly discussing a return to the UFC and a potential match against bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili, accompanied by the caption: "KHABIB WILL COME BACK TO THE UFC AND FIGHT MERAB!" It was clear, however, that old footage had been used with a voiceover mimicking Nurmagomedov's voice. The creator even labelled the video as 'Silly AI'. Fans were amused when Fury shared the clip on his Instagram story and tagged Nurmagomedov's account. At the height of his career, the 'Eagle' had to lose a significant amount of weight to meet the 155lb lightweight limit. Therefore, losing an additional 20lbs would be nothing short of torture for the 36 year old. ‌ Nurmagomedov is now mentoring top fighters in his beloved Dagestan, aiming to mould future champions. It's certain that he won't be making a comeback to the ring. However, the same can't be said for Fury, who last week announced his return to boxing. Saudi boxing chief Turki Alalshikh revealed on X - previously known as Twitter - stating: "The 'Gypsy King' will be back! ! ! I talked with him, and I have his word to have him in Riyadh Season in 2026. We have a rabbit to hunt!". The Morecambe fighter later stated that the third bout between him and long-standing adversary Oleksandr Usyk is set for April 18, 2026 at Wembley Stadium. The 36 year old took to Instagram last Thursday, sharing a fight poster featuring both him and the Ukrainian, with the caption: "April 18, 2026 Wembley Stadium. The trilogy! UK. contact @spencerbrownmrgoldstar for tickets." After officially announcing the trilogy fight on Instagram, fans were quick to voice their opinions. "Woohoo... The fight no one wants to see," one fan commented. Another added: "Don't really see the point in this trilogy. Fury could knock Usyk out first round and Usyk would still have the better record both in and out of the trilogy." A third responded, "Trilogies should only happen if there are questions that need to be answered from the first two fights. All the questions have been answered," while another stated: "Just fight AJ ffs. No one wants to watch you lose again to Usyk." One more added: "What's the point? Fought twice, well beaten twice." Yet another voiced their opinion saying, "The fight nobody asked for," with a different commenter remarking: "No way, we don't need this fight please."

Are you 'really worried about season' or is 'exciting football ahead'?

We asked you for your views following Russell Martin's first game in charge as Rangers manager in Sunday's pre-season friendly against Club what some of you said:Anderson: Slow and somewhat steady from Martin, assuming these guys are first team ready. Would like to see the striker situation sorted, hopefully the Igamane money can fix that. Just don't waste it all on Main thing I noticed; why was the gaffer not wearing a suit? Hope we're not going to move away from that tradition as always looked very Thought we played better second half than first, we really need to get more players in ahead of the Panathinaikos Rangers were poor in the first half v Brugge but it was an improved display after the break. Substitute Bajrami in particular was very good. However, there's still loads of work to be It looks like Martin has given everyone a clean slate. Bajrami, Barron and Curtis grabbed the opportunity with both hands. Propper let it slip through his fingers. That's what pre-season friendlies are style of play was very clear and surprisingly, the team pulled it off very well. Exciting football ahead. We just need a decent Best not to over-analyse pre-season friendlies but Club Brugge are a very useful team with a solid European pedigree and they are a worthy opponent for Martin to start looking at players within the Rangers squadIt's so good to see Curtis getting a full game and a goal. I hope that is the last game we see Propper in a Rangers shirt as he symbolises everything that was wrong with the team last season - lack of commitment, weak mentality and no physical I'm really worried about this season. The signings have been so underwhelming. We Rangers fans appreciate the millions being spent but it looks like second and third hand sloppy players from English leagues. It's not the way Martin has a massive job to get rid of the deadwood who passed up their opportunity. We still look miles away from having a competitive squad. The first half was the all too familiar hard watch but a much improved second half avoided a damaging have got to get a lot better very quickly before we play Panathinaikos. Some clarification around Dessers and Igamane wouldn't hurt either.
