Currently on Amazon, this LG sound system has amassed an impressive 4.7 out of 5 star rating, with a 84% giving it 5 out of 5. One thrilled customer raves: "Bought this a month ago and found it easy to set up. The sound is really top quality and whilst I didn't pay the top price for it, it was worth every penny. My choice was made in part as we have an LG tv and therefore compatible with its remote control. Works with Alexa but I am still learning the functions."
Another shopper shares: "It's incredible! Not much money for cinema quality and the surround sound is immense. Had the previous version and this is a massive upgrade. Well done Meridian with LG, very well done."
And this buyer beams: "I've owned several soundbar and subwoofer sets, and while they've been okay, they've also been lacking. Then, I bought a Sky Glass, and what screen was lacking, I thought was made up with the inbuilt Atmos Soundbar, I was wrong. This soundbar sounds amazing. Clear voices, deep and full bass, and room filling sound. I've had to buy acoustic pads to go under the subwoofer so as to not vibrate the flat downstairs ceiling. But apart from that it fills the room with sound without the volume being objectionable, in fact, if you go into another room and close the door, you won't hear it anywhere near as loud as you'd expect. It's crystal clear with all sources. Music and Movies sound especially good on it. It feels like a true home cinema system, and when paired up to an LG OLED TV, the Wow Orchestra feature adds another layer of sound, so it feels like you are in a bubble of audio. It's just amazing, and for the price it is now, a bargain considering the audio quality."

Love Island star jailed for 14 years over role in ‘Amazon-style' drugs cartel which flooded UK with narcotics
She helped flood UK streets with "eye-opening" amounts of drugs 'KINGPIN' BARBIE Love Island star jailed for 14 years over role in 'Amazon-style' drugs cartel which flooded UK with narcotics Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) A LOVE Island star has been jailed for 14 years for her crucial role in a multi-million pound "Amazon-style" drug smuggling operation. Magdalena Sadlo, nicknamed Barbie, helped transport hundreds of kilos of cocaine across the world for a major cartel based in the Middle East. Carlisle Crown Court heard that Sadlo, of Bracknell, Berkshire, was brought in as a financial director for the smuggling ring. Their operation was so slick that some investigators compared it to Amazon. She helped organise the shipment of cocaine, ketamine and cannabis to Holland and then on to Britain. Prosecuting, Tim Evans told how the international cartel could not have operated at the level it did without Sadlo's "efficiency". He said: "She not only manages the profits, costs and expenses but also manages the stock levels. "She updates who has taken what, at what cost, from what batch and the profit margins involved. "She is very much part of the inner circle… and is operating and seated at the very highest of tables. "She clearly knew the scale and seriousness of the trade she was engaging in. "No organised crime group working at this level could operate or function without Magdalena Sadlo, or an equivalent, performing this role." While based in the UK, she operated as a drugs courier, often collecting cocaine as it was imported into the port of Harwich in Essex. Drugs experts believe she moved 300kg of cocaine across seven trips, including 33kg of cocaine to Greater Manchester on one date alone. Love Island star, 29, caught smuggling COCAINE on flight from Dubai as part of £53MILLION drug ring The drugs were stored in safe houses in the Manchester area before being distributed to dealers over several months using BMWs. She then helped launder the proceeds by investing in designer clothes and luxury watches including a £130,000 Patek Philippe and a £30,000 Rolex. Detectives held Sadlo when she landed at Heathrow Airport on February 13 last year, having flown Emirates first class from Dubai. She was caught carrying luxury watches, bracelets and rings, and a 'crime CV' boasting her business acumen and qualifications. Encrypted texts on her phones revealed her "Barbie" nickname. In one message, she quipped: 'The devil works hard, but Barbie works harder.' Sadlo was due to have been sentenced in April after admitting conspiring to supply drugs and to launder money. 6 Encrypted texts on her phones revealed her 'Barbie' nickname Credit: Not known, clear with picture desk 6 Detectives held Sadlo (left) when she landed at Heathrow Airport in February last year Credit: Polsat / Love Island But sentencing was adjourned after insisting she played only a minor role as a £1,000-a-month personal assistant. Finally sentencing her to 14 years yesterday, Judge Nicholas Barker said that Sadlo was "central" to the organisation. He added: "I conclude there was gain and reward and in some way considerable to you. "You are an intelligent woman and well understand risk and reward. "I find you acted with real enthusiasm and sought to impress those at top." Thirteen members of the gang have already been jailed for up to 20 years each.

'I tried a TikTok viral 1-minute tan remover and I didn't expect these results'
This tan remover has been making waves with beauty buffs as it promises easy tan removal in just 60 seconds, but does it really work? Shopping Writer Meghan has put it to the test If there's one thing I hate about tanning through the summer, it's needing to remove it. Whether you're stripping the fake tan for good or clearing the canvas for a freshened look, taking off fake tan can be a hassle, sometimes taking an age. So, when I saw this tan remover going viral on TikTok for its quick and convenient removal, I was intrigued. The Rose & Caramel Purity Excel 60 Second Fake Tan Remover, which retails for £23.99 on Amazon, as well as at Boots and Debenhams, promises to remove fake tan in a singular minute. And it's not an empty promise, beauty buffs on social media have been showing off how fast and stress-free this remover is. So I thought I'd take it for a spin. This rapid fake tan remover is said to remove all your self-tan within just 60 Seconds. The viral remover is perfect for stubborn false tan stuck to dry patches, old self-tan that's seen better days, or faded fake tan that needs replacing, without any harsh scrubbing needed. Set to be compatible with any brand of fake tan, tanning mousse, tanning lotion, spray tan, etc., this Rose & Caramel remover is an exfoliating body scrub that promises to not only remove fake tan in seconds but also rejuvenate your skin, deeply exfoliate, remove dead skin cells, reduce ingrowing hairs, and provide the skin with intense moisture for silky, smooth, fake tan-free skin, a perfect fresh canvas for your next sunkissed look. Apparently, it's that easy. You simply mask your body with the luxury body scrub over all areas that need self-tan removal and leave to soak into the skin for 60 seconds. Then you can just jump into the bath or shower and use exfoliating mitts to gently buff away your old self-tan, leaving your skin exfoliated, super soft and ready for your next application of tanning mousse. Available in two scent options, including scent-free, the exfoliating tan remover that I opted for is formulated with a fruity mango and pomegranate scent, leaving the skin smelling and feeling fresh. First thing to note from my experience with this tan remover, which I've used twice now, is that I didn't notice any overly strong scent during or after use. This probably isn't a huge downside for everyone, and I will admit I have a terrible sense of smell, so it could just be my nose. I have tried removing fake tan with soap or other exfoliators, alongside my exfoliating gloves, and it's been a real chore, which is why I was os keen to test out this 1-minute miracle worker. Did this body scrub live up to the expectations of 60 seconds, and the tan just washes away? No. I covered all of my body that had fake tan on, prioritising dry areas where tan tends to cling, and waited over a minute before hopping in the shower. As I said, the tan didn't immediately disappear, though I did see some colour coming off in the water. But the results still surprised me. It only took gentle scrubbing with my exfoliating gloves while under running water, and it definitely did not take any aggressive scrubbing for the most part. I used more of the tan remover and a bit of a heavier hand on my hands, feet, elbows and knees where old tan likes to stick around, and to my shock, the tan lifted ten times easier than I've found with other exfoliating body scrubs. It isn't a miracle solution to ridding your body of old tan; you still need to exfoliate with gloves or a brush, but the process is massively reduced and doesn't take nearly as much effort to shift stubborn old tan. I wouldn't say it works in 60 seconds, but I had all of my tan removed in around 10 to 15 minutes while in the shower, which is significantly shorter than it's taken in the past. Plus, for £23.99, you get a 440ml tub, which is sure to last for months to come. I've barely used a third of my tub, and I've used this exfoliating body scrub twice. Try it for yourself and shop at Amazon, Boots, or Debenhams. If you're interested in knowing what tan and exfoliating mitts I was using, I've been swearing by this Loving Tan 2hr Express Tanning Mousse (£29.56) in the shade Medium. For removal, I used these Amazon exfoliating gloves (£5.99).

Review: Majority D100 Bookshelf Speakers punch above their weight
I'm an unashamed fan of Majority, the Cambridge-based audio company that specialises in decent kit at a very good price. I've reviewed many of it products and haven't come across a dud yet and I'm happy to report the D100 Bookshelf Speakers continues that run. The most powerful Majority sells, the D100s are a pair of good-sized speakers that will look nice sitting next to your TV or home stereo set-up. As well as the audio quality, which we'll get into later, the ace in the hand is the number of connectivity options the D100s give. You can choose from 5.3 Bluetooth, HDMI ARC, optical, aux and phono - so it's pretty much plug-and-play all the way. I tested out all four and I'm happy to report they all work as expected. The Bluetooth option - which can be a bit tricky on other devices - was dead easy to get working when I paired it with my projector. The speakers are a little retro-looking with a solid wood housing in black and brown. And for a first, you ger an understated, metal remote rather than the usual plastic one. It's an old-fashioned IR remote rather than Bluetooth, which is the only real hint at the budget price. You do get dials on the left speaker that allow you to switch inputs as well as control volume, bass and and treble levels. To the back of the same speaker you'll find all the ports, as well as a USB for playing on-board music (and installing firmware updates). Now on to the sound. While they obviously won't compete with the real high-end speakers on the market, they certainly punch way above their weight. You could pay double and get less, is how I put it. The audio will easily fill your average living room thanks to the metal speaker cones, three-driver sound and 100W of amplification gives them a bit of oomph. If you're a true audiophile, you might notice a lack of detail - and a bit of hiss - but the average consumer just won't notice. All in all, they look nice, will connect to anything and deliver quality way above the £120 price tag. As with any Majority product you also get a three-year warranty. There's not much more you could ask for. The D100 Bookshelf Speakers are available via Amazon for £119.95. What users say "Sound quality is way above what one might reasonably expect for the low price, and they are voiced very much in the 'British' style. They are in many ways reminiscent of the classic BBC LS3/5a, with a communicative bass, articulate midrange, and polite treble." "Excellent value. Used with another mains powered device, there is some hiss - a good, balanced power supply unit might solve that. Used with a decent DC (battery) MP3 player via the phono jack the sound is poignant, crystal clear, with a good bass punch. Much better than I expected for the price."
