Miley Cyrus performed in front of her ex-lovers at a private New York City gig at the weekend.
Miley Cyrus debuted the new song 'More To Lose' in front of some of her 'exes".
The 'Midnight Sky' singer gave a private performance a pre-Met Gala event in New York City on Saturday (03.05.25), where the the small crowd was treated to the live debut of the stirring ballad from her upcoming album, 'Something Beautiful'.
Speaking to the audience, Miley said: 'I have a lot of people that I've known and loved for a very long time in this room. Even a couple of exes."
She belted: 'Oh, I'll stay when the ecstasy is far away / And I pray that it's comin' 'round again.
'And you say it, 'I wish it wasn't true, oh' / I knew someday, the one would have to choose / I thought we had more to lose."
Miley's exes include ex-husband Liam Hemsworth, plus Cody Simpson, Stella Maxwell, Nick Jonas, Kaitlynn Carter, and Tyler, however, it's not clear who was in the crowd.
'Something Beautiful' – which is a visual album – is set for release on May 30.
The film will receive its world premiere at the 2025 Tribeca Film Festival in June.
So far, fans have heard the album's title track, 'Prelude', and 'End of the World'.
The album will feature 13 new songs, all of which will be accompanied by new visuals that have been described as a 'one of a kind pop opera".
After releasing the title track 'Something Beautiful', Miley teased that the album marked 'another bold artistic evolution" in her career.
A statement on her Instagram account read: 'Miley's second song and video release 'Something Beautiful', the title track off of the forthcoming album explores her deep connection to fashion showcasing an original custom design by Casey Cadwallader for the House of Mugler in the visual.
'This era marks another bold artistic evolution for Miley, blending music and film into an immersive experience. 'Something Beautiful' is now available on all streaming platforms."
'Something Beautiful' – which Miley is co-executive producing with Shawn Everett – is the follow-up to 2023's 'Endless Summer Vacation'.
The 'Flowers' hitmaker previously teased that the upcoming album was inspired by Pink Floyd's 'The Wall', and described it as a 'healing" record.
She explained to Harper's Bazaar: 'My idea was making 'The Wall', but with a better wardrobe and more glamorous and filled with pop culture.
'It's a concept album that's an attempt to medicate somewhat of a sick culture through music.
'I would like to be a human psychedelic for people. I don't want anyone trying to be like me or imitate me or even be inspired by me. I want to impact frequencies in your body that make you vibrate at a different level."

BTS' RM gets candid about flaws, fame and finding himself: ‘My image is an image of not being good…'
Kim Namjoon — or RM, as the world knows him — is back in front of the camera for the first time since starting his military service, and he's serving more than just visuals. In his Harper's Bazaar interview, the BTS leader peels back the layers between the grounded, introspective Kim Namjoon and the charismatic, stage-owning RM. Spoiler: both versions are equally delightful, especially when his hilariously deadpan humour takes centre stage. Kim Namjoon When asked what ideal of himself is often misrepresented, Namjoon answered with peak Namjoon energy. 'People say RM can't do that? But what is he actually good at?' His self-roast was immediate: 'Now my image is an image of not being good at sports. I can't even play foot volleyball, I can't drive, I don't have a license. I have this image at not being good at things that require coordination but surprisingly, I'm really good at skating…' Of course, he quickly caught himself. 'Well, to that extent… Other than that, not much else. And dancing, it's not that bad. That's about it.' But that's not all we got from the brooding leader of one of the influential boy band in the world. When talking about his childhood dreams versus now, the 30-year-old didn't shy away from calling it like it is: 'I like to be in the spotlight. That's the same. I don't think being an attention seeker is a wrong thing. When I was a kid, my nickname was Talk Box. I used to gather interesting stories from the internet and share them with my friends. I also liked public speaking. I really enjoyed giving presentations. I liked making people laugh. I used to want to be a comedian. So, my desire for attention is quite similar.' Namjoon also revealed the moments that make him feel most 'alive.' As RM, it's all about performing, releasing new music, and standing before fans 'with confidence and pride.' Travelling seems to be the closest thing to that, but honestly, I can't stay that way for long and want to come home soon. And working on music again makes me feel alive again.' Namjoon, along with Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, Taehyung, and Jungkook, is gearing up for BTS's first album in four years next spring. Avartana at ITC Grand Chola launches a new limited edition menu. Here's what special about it
At Avartana, drumsticks — wrapped in a crunchy gram flour coat — look like they hopped off the Met Gala red carpet. Buttermilk — spiked with pepper, jaggery, beans, asparagus and toasted almonds — resembles an embroidered sari with pink-yellow petals and green leaves. The award-winning restaurant, launched in Chennai in 2017, is known for its progressive South Indian cuisine. The food is avant-garde, poised on technique, and marries surprising combinations. Loyalists are familiar with the menus available. Now, the team of chefs has added an inventive new collection of recipes to the roster. But you cannot just walk in and order them. Anoma, Avartna's limited edition menu can be prepared for a minimum of eight guests with a prior intimation of 48 hours. Targeted at celebrations and get togethers, Anoma means illustrious in Hindi, explains Chef Nikhil Nagpal with an air of a pedagogue. We sample the 10-course menu, along with a bright slew of cocktails. The hotel has been working hard on its cocktail programme, under its young general manager Shaariq Akhtar and mixologist Chingngaihlun, and now offers the ability to do a bar crawl across its six restaurants and one bar. However, enamoured by Anoma, we stay at Avartana and sip on heady guava picantes, spiked with ruby red dry Chettinad chillies, and Uthukuli butter washed Cognac with banana, cinnamon, filter coffee, and butter biscuit cream. The new beverage menu Kaleidoscope uses local ingredients — fruits like mango, banana, jackfruit, and narthangai, paneer rose, nannari root — to craft nine cocktails and five mocktails. Nikhil does not want to give away too many spoilers, but the food, in typical Avartana style is thoughtfully engineered to be a fun, surprising series of traditional, familiar flavours recreated with unexpected ingredients, modern techniques and artistic plating. Keep an eye out for the seabass, encased in a crisp, tasty pumpkin leaf. Also, be prepared for a little excursion mid-meal, complete with eye masks. Twirling his trademark moustache that has now become synonymous with Avartana, Nikhil says that of all these dishes, it was the Potato Malabari that seemed most challenging. 'It may sound simple but it took us 12 trials to perfect the technique,' he says, adding, 'The challenge was to get the texture of the potato right when mashed and used as an outer shell to encase the curry. If you just take mashed potato and steam it, the curry inside tends to leak. We had to add starchy ingredients like amaranth in the right quantity to get the soft texture of the potato, otherwise it can get hard and chewy.' The cogs are continuously turning at Avartana with the team of chefs — Mayank Kulshreshtra, Satheeswaran Loganathan, Lakshmanan Subramanian, and Nikhil — constantly identifying ingredients and pairings, and then working on turning them into dishes. One of the unique combinations in Anoma is the fragrant marikolunthu paired with lobster. While putting together the duck, it started with a Kerala style preparation with those spices. Then the team felt the flavours were similar to that of the quail and aborted that. We paired orange with that but it still had to be South Indian. So, we additionally made a sauce made with bydagi chillies, says Nikhil. The dessert is a poster child for the phrase 'If looks could deceive.' It's a dish that showcases the flavours of banana, jasmine, and apple, with a faux banana, what looks like a crumpled brown leaf, and stones. Make sure you pick the right one! Price on call.
