The Fantastic Four First Steps First Reviews: Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby's ‘Best' Marvel Attempt Earns Rave Reactions
What do people think of The Fantastic Four: First Steps so far?
George McKay, an X user, wrote, 'Quite possibly the best Marvel Studios film ever released. Absolutely loaded with talent and standout performances from Vanessa Kirby and Joseph Quinn. If you thought the MCU died with Endgame, think again. Thoughtfully crafted and easily a genre-defining classic'. Others called it a film that Marvel 'needed' and praised the perfect casting of the movie.
Matt Shakman's work from WandaVision has been brought up and earned him cheers once again. The critiquing has been on-point so far with Matt Neglia saying, 'The story's focus on the theme of family can feel a bit overdone at this point in the MCU, and the villains aren't the most compelling, but the cast does a lot of the heavy-lifting to make you deeply care about these characters, their relationships & the end-of-the-world stakes they face.'
The story is already being touted to be a hit at the box office, with many pouring in praise for the main cast members, Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn. Meanwhile, Julia Garner, Natasha Lyonne, Paul Walter Hauser, and Ralph Ineson have also earned their flowers from the audience. We expect an increasingly positive and forthcoming response from the moviegoers in the coming weekend. Adding to the goof run for MCU, the studio seems to be setting up the game right well ahead of the Avengers: Doomsday release in the coming year as the familiar cast members continue filming in secret.

Kevin Feige hints at future recasting of Iron Man and Captain America: ‘Hard for anybody to do that'
Kevin Feige recently hinted at future recasting of Iron Man and Captain America, citing Bond and Superman. During a press roundtable at Marvel's headquarters in Burbank, California, for the upcoming Marvel film 'Fantastic Four', Feige addressed that they may, in the future, recast Iron Man and Captain America. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has hinted at the possibility of recasting two of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's most iconic roles — Tony Stark/Iron Man and Steve Rogers/Captain America — in future projects. Speaking about the evolving nature of long-running film franchises, Feige referenced the recent reshuffling in other major cinematic universes as precedent. 'Amy Pascal and David Heyman are now searching for a new James Bond,' Feige said, referring to the new producers of the Bond franchise. 'David [Corenswet], the new Superman — he was awesome. That will always be the case.' Feige acknowledged the challenge of replacing beloved actors who have defined roles for a generation. 'I think it's hard for anybody to do that when an actor has done such a great [job in a] role. How are they going to ever replace Sean Connery [as James Bond], right?' While the Marvel boss was open about the potential future of Iron Man — originally played by Robert Downey Jr. — and Captain America — played by Chris Evans — he remained vague when asked about the return of Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman in their popular roles from the upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine (2024). 'I think there is more fun to be had with both of those characters, but we'll see where,' Feige remarked. The comments suggest Marvel may be preparing audiences for a new era of the MCU, one that could eventually include fresh faces in legacy roles as the studio looks to sustain its multi-decade storytelling universe.

Marvel confirms plans to recast Iron Man, Captain America and more
Marvel has confirmed the return of fan-favourites like Iron Man, Captain America, and the super-powered X-Men. Marvel Studios chief recently spoke to the media about the upcoming films, stating that the plans will roll after 2027's 'Avengers: Secret Wars.' Tired of too many ads? go ad free now According to a Variety report, Feige said that the casting will be done for the upcoming X-Men film, set to be directed by Jake Schreier. Many of the original X-Men actors are returning to their iconic roles, including Patrick Stewart (Charles Xavier), (Magneto), (Nightcrawler), (Mystique), (Cyclops), and Kelsey Grammer (Hank McCoy). However, the characters will be played by others moving forward, the outlet stated. The decision has been taken in view of the changes in the 'Secret Wars' comic storyline, which involved timelines collapsing, resulting in the epic mix-up of the characters in the process. "We're utilising the story not just to round out the stories we've been telling post-'Endgame,' just as importantly -- and you can look at the at the 'Secret Wars' comics for where that takes you -- it very, very much sets us up for the future. Endgame,' literally, was about endings. 'Secret Wars' is about is about beginnings," Feige said, according to Variety. The Marvel boss though clarified that the changes are not any "reboot," but will serve as a reset for the MCU. "Reboot is a scary word. Reboot can mean a lot of things to a lot of people. Reset, singular timeline -- we're thinking along those lines. X-Men is where that will happen next," he added. Elsewhere during the conversation, Feige suggested that other Marvel characters will also be recast, including the beloved Iron Man and Captain America. Saiyaara box office: Ahaan Panday-Aneet Padda starrer crushes Sikandar, Raid 2, Sitaare Zameen Par & Housefull 5 to become 2nd fastest entrant to Rs 100 crore club
Looking at the current trend, Saiyaara has all the potential to enter the Rs 200 crore club, with no major releases scheduled for the coming weekend, except for the Marvel biggie, The Fantastic Four: First Steps read more Ahaan Panday & Aneet Padda starrer Saiyaara is performing way beyond its expectations at the box office. The Mohit Suri directorial, which enjoyed a phenomenal opening weekend, entered the Rs 100 crore club on its fourth day and emerged as the second-fastest film of 2025 to achieve this milestone, after Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava, surpassing biggies like Sitaare Zameen Par, Raid 2, Housefull 5, Sky Force, and Sikandar. Fastest entrant club to Rs 100 crore club STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD Chhaava - 3 days Saiyaara - 4 days Sky Force - 8 days Sitaare Zameen Par - 9 days Raid 2 - 9 days Housefull 5 - 10 days Sikandar - 11 days Looking at the current trend, _Saiyaara_ has all the potential to enter the Rs 200 crore club, with no major releases scheduled for the coming weekend, except for the Marvel biggie, The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Despite not going all out with the promotions, Saiyaara garnered unprecedented excitement among the cinegoers. Before the release of the movie, director Mohit Suri spoke about it and told Firstpost, 'I've been inside the studio for the last one month. I have no idea. And unlike the past when people travel from one studio to another, this is everything inhouse at YRF. So I haven't really gone out and met the world outside. Normally, when you are working on other films, you go out for the day; for sound, edit, and VFX. It was different different places. And just hearing it now, it does feel it does feel very redeeming and validating because when I started off this film, I was quite discouraged by a lot of senior people saying that nobody would be interested in a young love story. Because at that time, larger-than-life films were being made and I just thought that my voice would be lost there when everyone was shouting. So I just went and tried to make a film which is very different from what others were doing. And to me, the fact that people are appreciating that the difference that it's standing out means a lot.'
