Monday's episode of Coronation Street saw Mick Michaelis go on a furious rampage after finding out 16-year-old Brody might not be his biological son.
Mick turned violent as he demanded answers from wife Lou Michaelis about her past with their former pal, Kit Green.
Corrie viewers got an upsetting insight into Lou's domestic abuse from Mick - which left the residents on the cobbles worried for Lou's safety.
Meanwhile, Craig Tinker was determined to prove himself on the first day of his CID training.
He pulled over Mick at the Weatherfield Precinct for drink-driving.
Hellbent on getting revenge on Kit, Mick violently attacked Craig with a bat and left him for dead.
Wednesday's episode of the ITV soap will see Craig rushed to hospital and desperately try to make his police colleagues aware of who was responsible for attacking him.
Craig Tinker actor Colson Smith said: "I can't wait for people to see Craig's final scenes. It is exactly the exit I wanted for him and we are all really proud of what we filmed in those final weeks.
"It was actually great fun. I was walking around covered in fake blood for days and I was chuffed that I got to work with so many brilliant people in this final storyline."
Back in March, The Sun revealed how Colson's character Craig would be killed off in a dramatic storyline.
A source told us: "Craig has grown up on the street and he's become part of it so it was a tough decision to make but one that will be worth it.
"PC Tinker will meet his maker in heroic circumstances this summer and there won't be a dry eye in the house when it goes out.
"Colson is taking it well and there's a real feeling that this chapter is closing for him and there are bigger and brighter things ahead."
Corrie cash crisis: shock exits for 2025
ITV bosses are locked in a battle to save the cash-strapped soap.
This means that a number of stars have either been axed from or have abandoned the long-running serial drama.
Colson Smith - Craig Tinker
The character of Craig Tinker has been axed by bosses after 14 years. After he was told of the news in Autumn 2024, Colson Smith confirmed that would be written out of the show with scenes to air later this year. Craig's on-screen mum, Beth Tinker, also left the show in the summer when actress Lisa George was written out from the role.
Sue Cleaver - Eileen Grimshaw
After 25 years playing Eileen Grimshaw, former I'm A Celebrity campmate Sue Cleaver will quit the show. The Sun on Sunday reported in January that she's already begun to film her exit scenes. However the character will not be killed off in case Sue opts to make a return in the future.
Luca Toolan - Mason Radcliffe
Bosses decided to axe the teenage character after just 16 months after he first joined the show. Recent scenes saw Mason stabbed by his criminal brothers after his pal Dylan brought a knife in an attempt to defend him.
Sue Devaney - Debbie Webster
In November 2024, we revealed that Debbie Webster is set to be killed off after 40 years on the cobbles. The character will die as part of a heartbreaking long-running dementia storyline.
Charlotte Jordan - Daisy Midgeley
The actress became the fifth star to leave Coronation Street in just one month. We revealed that she will bow out of the ITV soap later this year after four years on-screen. Charlotte told sources that she's hungry to see what other opportunities await.
Shelley King - Yasmeen Metcalfe
The actress has played Yasmeen Metcalfe on the cobbles for the past 11 years and we revealed in January that she finished filming her final scenes. This follows the departure of her on-screen partner Stu Carpenter.
The 26-year-old actor was one of several stars who have been axed from the ITV soap.
Corrie is gearing up for a number of exits for some iconic characters this summer, including Eileen Grimhshaw is set to exit the cobbles with actress Sue Cleaver quitting the soap after an incredible 25 years.
The soap has already seen several characters depart the cobbles from the likes of Daisy Midgeley to Mason Radcliffe.
Coronation Street is facing a financial crisis due to soaring production costs, a decline in advertising revenue, and a drop in viewing figures, leading to budget cuts and cast departures.
Consequently, ITV is reducing the length of both Coronation Street and Emmerdale episodes from hour-long to 30-minute installments, starting in January 2026.
This change will create a "soaps power hour" where Emmerdale airs at 8pm, followed by Coronation Street at 8:30pm each weeknight.
But with ratings falling and viewers switching to streamers like Netflix, soap stars are fearing the axe - should they be worried?
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 or stream from 7am on ITVX.

Former Big Brother star Charley Uchea gets engaged to mystery man just weeks after she was 'left for dead' in shock car crash
Former Big Brother star Charley Uchea has got engaged to a mystery man just weeks after she was 'left for dead' in a shock car crash. The reality star, 40, who rose to fame on the eighth series of Big Brother in 2007, shared the happy news on Instagram on Monday. The clip began with a blurry close-up of her huge diamond ring after being propose to by her partner, 43, who she has not named publicly. Charley was also seen relaxing on a sofa wearing a grey silk nightgown as she held her hand up displaying the rock. 'A real man leads with love, protects with presence, and builds with purpose,' Charley captioned the video. She also wrote: 'Two things I know for sure — I'm not where I used to be, and God is still leading me somewhere greater ❤️.' In another post from a few days before, Charley put on a very racy display with her fiance in pictures taken from the same day - with her ring again on show. The engaged couple gazed into each others' eyes as Charley sat on his knee, with both wearing the matching silk dressing gowns. 'Nights like this with your favorite person,' she captioned the pictures. The announcement came just weeks after Charley was rushed to hospital after allegedly being 'left for dead' in a shocking car crash. She took to her Instagram Stories last month to detail the shocking incident, telling fans she had been hit by a truck. She got into the crash after spending the evening out and claimed that she was 'left for dead' on the side of the road after being 'knocked out'. Charley shared a video of herself in hospital wearing a neck brace. She had painful-looking red injuries across her eyebrow and cheek and claimed she could barely use her arms following the crash. She penned in a caption: 'Bless my nurse brushing my hair out, I can't really use my arms atm I'm so weak.' Alongside another picture of a smashed-up car, she added: 'Look at the damage this truck did just by hitting me, then leaves me [for] dead on the side of the road.' Charley also shared a photograph of herself out on the town before the crash and penned: 'Such a nice night before I ended up in the air lol and knocked out.' Charley, who celebrated her 40th birthday just days before on June 30, reassured her 251,000 followers that she would be 'home soon'. MailOnline contacted Charley for further comment at the time. Charley is best known for her 2007 Big Brother stint in the same year that Brian Belo was crowned the winner. She survived eviction until week eight, and was famously argumentative; rowing with Chanelle Hayes for ten minutes about how old Rihanna was. Charley was also attacked with a racist slur by fellow housemate Emily Parr, who was aged 19 at the time. Emily was ejected from the house in the early hours of the morning after she was heard using the N-word to Charley while they were chatting in the garden hours before. Both Charley and Nicky Maxwell, who was also present, were stunned at her use of the word however Emily swiftly insisted it 'was a joke'. She was later called to the diary room and told of her ejection by Big Brother. At the time of Emily's removal, Head of the Big Brother commissioning team at Channel 4, Angela Jain, said after the incident: 'In the wake of Celebrity Big Brother, we must consider the potential offence to viewers regardless of Emily's intentions and her housemates' response. 'The word is clearly racially offensive and there was no justification for its use. 'We have removed Emily from the house to once again make it clear to all housemates and the viewers at home that such behaviour won't be tolerated.'

Mother accused of murdering her three-year-old daughter
A mother has been charged with the murder of her three-year-old daughter. Pippa McGrath, 47, appeared at Leeds Crown Court by video link on Tuesday, when she spoke only to confirm her name and date of birth. She is charged with the murder of Hope McGrath, whose body was found at a bungalow in Austhorpe Court in the Colton area of Leeds last Wednesday. West Yorkshire Police had visited the property after concerns were raised about the safety of a child. Neighbours suggested Hope had suffered with a disability and needed a wheelchair, The Sun reported. The court heard a toxicology report was likely to be relevant to the case. Judge Guy Kearl KC, the Recorder of Leeds, said a post-mortem examination on Hope was due to take place on Wednesday and that 'at least one of the issues will be the toxicology report'. The court heard psychiatric reports would be prepared to establish McGrath's fitness to plead. A date of Feb 24 was set for the trial, which is expected to take up to two weeks. McGrath was remanded in custody until her next appearance at the same court for a plea and trial preparation hearing on Sep 3. The force released a photograph of Hope on Tuesday Detective Chief Inspector Stacey Atkinson, of the force's homicide and major inquiry team, said: 'We are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding Hope's death. 'A photograph of the three-year-old has been released by her family. I would ask that people respect their privacy at this extremely difficult time.'

However the star has left his wild antics behind and now priorities his well being with his 'health trip' seeing him cutting back on booze and stop drug taking. He previously told The Sun: 'You've got to undo all the bad work you've done through f***ing getting off your head and all that. 'It's time to undo it all now and get back to reality. All that stuff that you thought was cool in the early days . . . it's time to get healthy.' 'As you get older, life is precious, do you know what I mean? I'm a pretty happy-go-lucky guy. I love waking up early in the morning.' Meanwhile it was also revealed Liam has been drinking apple cider vinegar on the Oasis tour after vowing to ditch the booze. Before the reunion gigs kicked off, Liam vowed to cut alcohol out his diet to keep his voice in check for the stage. After years of drinking heavily on tour in the nineties, Liam prefers a glass of the soft drink. Liam has previously spoke about his love for apple cider vinegar and honey and how it helps his voice. He said: 'I drink a lot of funky drinks. I have this apple cider vinegar, the one that everyone bangs on about. 'So I have vinegar, some honey and then I have some turmeric, some cayenne pepper, a squirt of lemon, hot water, stir it round and drink it. 'It's really good for when you get a hoarse voice. Which is ridiculous, obviously. I know that. Just get them fixed. But it's the stigma, saying you've had your hips replaced. What's next?' Taking to social media he penned: 'Morning Rastas so I had my Hip operation last wk all went well and RESPEK to all the doctors n nurses who looked after me Big shout out to the A team for getting us home safe n sound' He told MoJo magazine: 'When the weather's cold, my hips are like snap, crackle and pop. I need warmth. 'I can't sleep at night for the pain. Tossing and turning. So I'm on herbal sleeping tablets and they've saved my life. One of them, seven hours out, no pain, nothing. 'My new thing is Deep Heat. Caked myself in it on the knees and hips, the calves, then into the steam room for as long as I can handle it.' Liam, a keen jogger, was told by doctors to run less to help manage the condition. In the interview he also spoke about his psoriasis, saying he once met a fan who thought he had cocaine in his hair - but it was actually bits of skin from his itchy scalp. He said: 'I've got psoriasis, so I had obviously been scratching it during the day and there were little white bits and s**t. They were taking it out of my hair and putting it on their gums and putting it up their f***ing nose!' Taking to Twitter last February he said of having his hip operation: 'Morning Rastas so I had my Hip operation last wk [week] all went well and RESPEK [respect] to all the doctors n nurses who looked after me Big shout out to the A team for getting us home safe n sound.
