Noel Gallagher's daughter Anais shows allegiance to Scottish football team at Oasis gig

Daily Record4 days ago
Anais Gallagher has been a regular at her dad Noel's Oasis reunion shows but the 25-year-old was spotted paying homage to one Scottish football team at the band's gig in Edinburgh on Friday (August 8) night
Oasis have officially touched down in Scotland, delivering their first of three completely sold-out performances in Edinburgh on Friday (August 8th) evening as part of their highly anticipated Live '25 reunion tour. However, as the Gallagher siblings stepped onto the stage at Murrayfield Stadium, Noel Gallagher 's daughter was caught in the audience showing her allegiance to one Scottish football team – Glasgow's beloved Celtic FC.

Anais Gallagher, 25, has been witnessed at numerous of her father's concerts throughout the tour, including the inaugural performances in Cardiff and the previous week's spectacular five-night stint at London's iconic Wembley Stadium. Nevertheless, Friday evening's performance in Edinburgh represents the first occasion Anais has been seen displaying Celtic's distinctive colours, as she posted a photograph to her Instagram story revealing herself donning a green Adidas tracksuit top featuring the football club's emblem.

Multiple Oasis supporters circulated the photograph across social media platforms subsequently, with countless individuals applauding her for openly declaring her allegiance to the club. Noel and Liam Gallagher 's mother, Peggy Gallagher, is a devoted supporter of Celtic, and it appears that enthusiasm has been inherited by her grandchildren too.

One supporter who distributed the image of Anais on X commented: "Oasis star @NoelGallagher's daughter Anais representing the @CelticFC colours at Murrayfield last night.
"Noel and Liam's mum Peggy is famously a massive Celtic fan, with both brothers regularly showing their support for the Hoops throughout the years."

Another individual posted: "Anais rocking the Celtic trackie at the Oasis gig."
And a third thrilled supporter declared: "ANAIS WEARING CELTIC YESSS."
Meanwhile, Anais recently revealed she was fed up with Oasis supporters bombarding her with messages begging for assistance in securing tickets for the highly-awaited comeback gigs.

Every single date of the UK and Ireland tour was snapped up within minutes back in August last year, prompting the band to announce two additional Wembley Stadium dates - which also vanished in record time.
However, the shortage of available tickets hasn't deterred some frantic fans from trying everything possible to grab one, including pestering Anais for assistance.

She revealed in a TikTok clip: "What is it about some Oasis fans? DM-ing me like I am f***ing Ticketmaster or Shopify or something.
"People are messaging me like, 'I'm having trouble transferring my ticket to somebody - this is my Ticketmaster code'. What the f*** do I know about Ticketmaster?".
Anais has even been approached by people seeking guidance on Oasis merchandise, including enquiries about t-shirts that are unavailable in particular sizes and where she would suggest purchasing one instead.
She continued: "How am I meant to know what shops are stocking your size?".
"I don't know, I wish I could help you but I am kind of baffled that when people have an issue they think, 'Do you know what, let me DM Anais, she's going to know how I can transfer my ticket'. Guys ... I can't!".

Ex-Celtic star spotted going wild as he does the huddle at Oasis Murrayfield gig with 70,000 fans

And as they rounded off the Edinburgh leg of their tour with a third gig at Murrayfield Stadium, a former Celtic star was in the thick of the action as the crowd did their own version of 'the huddle'. Frontman Liam Gallagher took another pop at the local council in the process, as those in the audience lapped it up. Ex-Celtic captain and manager Neil Lennon was one of the lucky ones to snap up a ticket for the last of the Scottish comeback gigs. He was pictured in sunglasses and a band t-shirt on his way to Murrayfield. And from inside the stadium itself, ex-Celt Simon Donnelly shared some footage of the crowd doing 'the huddle'. Made popular by another Celt in Tony Mowbray, the ritual is now a famous part of Hoops folklore, where the players gather on the pitch just before kick-off to listen to a passionate speech led by the captain at the time. At Murrayfield things looked a little different but Donnelly had his camera out for the moment fans linked arms and began to jump in time with the music, as the band kicked into one of their biggest crowd-pleasers, Cigarettes & Alcohol. Donnelly, wearing a bucket hat and large glasses that he joked made him look like snooker legend Dennis Taylor, filmed the dancing antics from his spot in the stands, with the standing section below him. He posted the video on his Instagram account and captioned it: "It's no easy filming the huddle, Dennis Taylor sorted it". Around 70,000 fans packed out Murrayfield for the iconic group's third and final gig at the venue. FOUR new Celtic signings could be on the way but 'waiting game' could risk it all Lead singer Liam took umbrage with city councillors for labelling Oasis fans 'drunk', 'lairy', 'fat' and 'old' in secret safety briefings. At their opening gig on Friday he branded officials "f****** slags." He called them out again last night, saying: "£3billion we've brought into this city over the past five days. And that's between you and us. Three billion f****** quid. "You won't see f*** all, because they'll rob it and spread it among their posh ugly mates. "Still waiting for our apology, bring it on down, you c****". Keep up to date with ALL the latest news and transfers at the Scottish Sun football page
