Titans waive Treylon Burks after franchise-haunting trade
More than three years after the fact, the A.J. Brown trade keeps getting worse for the Titans. The Titans announced Monday that wide receiver Treylon Burks, whom the team selected No. 18 overall after acquiring the pick as part of the Brown trade, has been waived. Burks was waived with injury designation after hurting his collarbone during practice on Saturday, and if he clears waivers, he'll wind up back on Tennessee's injured reserve. Advertisement 3 Treylon Burks at Titans training camp on July 26. AP The Titans drafted Burks out of Arkansas with the hope that the 6-foot-2, 225-pound wideout could eventually replace Brown, who already had one Pro-Bowl appearance and two seasons with more than 1,000 receiving yards under his belt. Instead, Burks never proved himself to be an impactful NFL player. Advertisement He hauled in 444 yards for one touchdown his rookie year, but notched just 221 yards in 2023 and missed most of the 2024 season with an ACL injury. The Titans signed former University of Tennessee wide receiver Ramel Keyton to fill Burks' roster spot. Tennessee dealt Brown to the Eagles on the night of the 2022 draft in exchange for the No. 18 pick (Burks) and the 101st overall selection, which they traded. 3 Tennessee Titans wide receiver Treylon Burks (16) makes a catch during minicamp at Nissan Stadium. Steve Roberts-Imagn Images Advertisement Brown has been terrific since arriving in Philadelphia, notching back-to-back Pro-Bowl nods in 2022 and 2023 and winning the Super Bowl with the Eagles in 2025. In his three seasons in Philly, he has accumulated 4,031 receiving yards and hauled in 25 touchdowns. Frustrated Titans fans took to social media at the news of Burks' getting waived, with many teeing off on then-general manager Jon Robinson. 3 A.J. 'Jon Robinson will pay for what he did to this franchise,' said another. 'Good riddance,' a third said of Burks. 'One of too many crappy 1st round picks by this franchise over the years.'

The Thrill and Agony: UFC on ABC 9 winner and loser reactions
A post shared by Mohammad Yahya محمد يحيى (@yahyamma) Since the early days when the sport was anything but a mainstream endeavor, the MMA industry has thrived and survived through various websites, forums, and – perhaps most importantly – social-media platforms. Fighters interact with fans, each other and many more through the likes of Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, which helps outsiders get a deeper look into the minds of the athletes. Following Saturday's UFC on ABC 9 in Abu Dhabi, several of the winning and losing fighters, along with their coaches, training partners or family members, took to social media to react to the event or share a message with supporters. Elite 2025 RHP and Texas A&M commit signs with the Milwaukee Brewers
Texas A&M's 2026 baseball roster won't include another top 2025 prospect, as elite RHP Chase Bentley, who was selected in the 19th Round of the 2025 MLB Draft by the Milwaukee Brewers, has reportedly signed with the Franchise for a surprising $757,500, which is reportedly a record for a player selected in the 19th Round. Bentley joins several Texas A&M 2025 signees who have opted to sign with MLB teams. Like junior outfielder Jace LaViolette, who was selected 27th overall by the Cleveland Guardians, and signed signed for over $4 million, Bentley's future is extremely bright, and while many, including myself expected him to suit up with the Aggies next season, turning down more than half a million to develop in the minor leagues before being called up would be even more surprising. Texas A&M's 2026 pitching rotation will likely include Weston Moss, Shane Sdao, and another new addition from the transfer portal, while the bullpen features several young but intriguing names, including Caden McCoy, who developed down the stretch last season. However, closer Josh Stewart, who was granted a medical exemption for the 2026 season, will immediately boost what was a shaky position after his injury. Agreeing with MLBPipeline writer Jim Callis, Texas A&M will miss out on a player with a pitching arsenal that goes past the fastball, excelling with his changeup, which translates to the MLB, and could result in an early call-up if he excels in the minor leagues.
