'Take Jalen's d**k out of your mouth': Johnny Manziel goes full savage on Gillie Da Kid in the weirdest football beef of the year
Of all the random feuds to erupt on the internet, this one might take the crown. Johnny Manziel, the former Cleveland Browns QB and poster boy for what-could've-been just launched an unfiltered verbal missile at rapper-turned-podcaster Gillie Da Kid.
Why? Because Gillie came at Cam Newton over Jalen Hurts. Yes, it's that messy.
The whole drama started with Gillie Da Kid criticizing Cam Newton and Manziel wasn't having it
To really get this mess, you have to rewind a bit. This whole feud kicked off when Cam Newton dropped his list of the top 10 quarterbacks in the NFL and straight-up left Jalen Hurts off it. Gillie Da Kid, a proud Philly native and co-host of 'Million Dollaz Worth of Game,' was not about to let that slide.
Cam Newton's Top 10 QBs for the 2025 Season
Things escalated when Gillie publicly called Cam 'fraudulent' for how he handled the Jalen Hurts situation.
He accused Newton of staying silent when the Eagles QB was getting dragged by media and fans during the team's slump only for Cam to suddenly speak up for Hurts after Philly re-committed to him.
Gillie's whole vibe was:
Where was that energy when Jalen was under fire?
Then, at his birthday party, Gillie held up a prop Lombardi Trophy and trolled Newton with the line:
'Cam ain't never had one of these.'
He also added that he was 'done going back and forth' with Newton but the jab had already landed.

So now we've got Manziel, a guy who hasn't touched a football professionally in years, beefing with Gillie over something Cam Newton didn't even comment on. And to no one's surprise, the whole thing is playing out messily and publicly on X (formerly Twitter).
Johnny Manziel calls Gillie 'the biggest loser on the planet,' threatens violence
Johnny hopped on X and didn't hold back, posting two wild tweets aimed straight at Gillie. In one, he wrote:
'Yo @gilliedakid you may be the biggest fucking loser on the planet.
Talking like you've fucking done anything on a football field. If I see you just know I'm going to slap the fuck out of you, trust.'
And just when you thought it couldn't get any more unhinged, Manziel added:
'Take Jalen's d**k out of your mouth for a couple minutes. Pretty sure he's already got a chick.'
Oof. No metaphors, no filters, just pure chaos from Manziel's keyboard.
Fans are confused, Cam Newton is quiet, and the internet is eating it up
Reactions online have been priceless. Some fans are dragging Manziel for having the audacity to come at anyone considering his NFL flameout. One user clapped back,
'IK JOHNNY MANZIEL AIN'T TALKING 😂😂😂,'
while another asked if this was the same guy who fumbled his career over 'a little cocaine and OxyContin.'
Johnny Manziel just went full savage on Gillie Da Kid in the weirdest football beef of the year.
Others are just here for the mess, with comments like,
'Not the beef I was expecting to see today,'
and
'This feels like an episode of a fake football reality show.'
Meanwhile, Cam Newton has said exactly nothing, which tracks, he didn't even respond to the original Gillie clip.
So what's the verdict? Just another chaotic NFL-adjacent internet moment
There's no real winner here, except maybe the X algorithm. Gillie Da Kid was firing shots at Cam Newton for being quiet. Then Johnny Manziel came in hot with threats and NSFW language, defending who exactly? Hurts? Cam? Himself? No one's really sure.
But what we do know is this: it's 2025, and somehow Johnny Manziel and Gillie Da Kid are trending over Jalen Hurts drama from months ago.

(PTI Photo/Swapan Mahapatra) MS Dhoni has once again dropped a massive hint about his future with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and his potential availability for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season. Even for the next 15–20 years,' Dhoni said at an event in Chennai, drawing loud cheers from the crowd. 'I hope they don't think I'll be playing for another 15–20 years,' he added with a smile. 'It's not about one year or two years. I will always be seen in a yellow jersey. Whether I'll be playing or not, you'll know in a while. But yeah, you know it yourself,' he further said, keeping fans guessing. Poll Do you think MS Dhoni will play in IPL 2026? Yes, definitely No, he will retire Maybe, depends on fitness I have no idea Earlier this year, Dhoni had remarked that playing in the IPL is the next best thing to representing the Indian team. 'It's a very good feeling, and I've always said it's a big thank-you from the fans. That's what I believe—for whatever years I keep playing, it's their way of saying, 'Thank you very much for everything you've done.' And it's amazing. "Especially when you play a sport, what you want is the appreciation of the fans. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Where Castles Glow and Carolers Sing Portfolio Magazine Read More Undo And when it comes to cricket, India is the place to play,' Dhoni said in an interview with Star Sports. Test and T20I returns on the anvil for Shreyas Iyer
Shreyas Iyer (AP Photo) MUMBAI: After being ignored from India's tour of England this summer, Shreyas Iyer , who is currently only in India's ODI team, could be in line for a comeback in the T20I and Test team. TOI has learnt that Iyer is likely to be recalled for India's T20I and Test side when the selectors meet sometime in Aug to pick the squad for the Asia Cup in UAE, which will be played in the T20 format from Sept 9, and the two-Test series against West Indies from Oct 2 in Ahmedabad. Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. SUBSCRIBE NOW! The 30-year-old Mumbai cricketer is in serious contention for a spot in the middle order in all formats of the game. 'We need Iyer's class and experience in the middle order in all formats. It's something which we missed in England during the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy. The selectors are aware that Iyer is an excellent player of spin bowling, which will be crucial in a home season that involves four Tests — two each against West Indies and South Africa,' sources told TOI. Inside The Oval: An Exclusive Tour of the Stadium Where India Played the Final Test Iyer has been picked in the West Zone team for the Duleep Trophy, which will be played at the BCCI's Centre of Excellence from Aug 28. Seeded into the semis by virtue of being the defending champions, West Zone will directly play in the semifinals of the tournament from Sept 4. Poll Should Shreyas Iyer be recalled to the T20I and Test squad for the upcoming series? Yes, he deserves a chance No, we have enough options Maybe, depends on his performance Iyer has been out of favour in Tests since a back issue and poor form saw him lose his berth during the home series against England last year. The decision-makers, however, feel Iyer has done all the right things since losing his contract after expressing a reluctance to play domestic cricket. The 30-year-old was in decent form for Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy , scoring 480 runs at 68.57, with two centuries, in five matches last season. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Use an AI Writing Tool That Actually Understands Your Voice Grammarly Install Now Undo Overall, Iyer has scored 811 runs in 14 Tests at 36.86, including one hundred and five fifties. He played the last of his 14 Tests against England in Vizag in Feb last year. The 30-year-old Mumbaikar was India's top run-getter in their Champions Trophy triumph in Dubai in March, scoring 243 runs in five matches at an average of 48.60, including two fifties. His knocks of 45 off 62 balls against Australia in the semifinal and 48 off 62 balls in the final proved crucial. Nair not to play Duleep Trophy Meanwhile, TOI has learnt that middle-order batter Karun Nair suffered a minor fracture on his finger after being struck on the hand by a rising delivery during the second innings of the Oval Test. Nair will not play for Central Zone in the upcoming Duleep Trophy. The 33-year-old batter, who moved back to Karnataka from Vidarbha, scored 205 runs in four Tests at an average of 25.62, with one fifty in the 2025 Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy. No Sri Lanka series in August India will not be going to Sri Lanka for a white-ball series in Aug. It is learnt that post a gruelling five-Test series in England, the Indian team has been given a rare 'complete rest' by the BCCI, which means that Team India will only resume playing international cricket with the Asia Cup in Sept. 'The players requested for a break after the England series. There is a hectic international schedule for India from Sept, which also involves going to Australia for a white-ball series in Oct,' sources said. Pant won't require surgery Wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant won't require surgery after a toe fracture during the fourth Test in Manchester. However, Pant has been ruled out of action for at least six weeks. He will miss the Asia Cup and possibly the West Indies series. Catch Rani Rampal's inspiring story on Game On, Episode 4.
