Irish stars stun at BAFTA Television Awards 2025
The BAFTA Television Awards 2025 are set to take place in London's Royal Festival Hall on May 11, 2025, with a bevy of stars of the big and small screen attending the glamorous ceremony.
Galway's Nicola Coughlan, star of Netflix hit Bridgerton, is in the running for 'Memorable Moment' at the BAFTA TV awards tonight thanks to a fan-favourite carriage scene.
Coughlan has also earned a nomination for 'Female Performance in a Comedy' as Maggie in Channel 4's Big Mood, the dark comedy-drama series about two best friends dealing with work, life and mental health pressures.
The Derry Girls star represented Ireland on the star-studded red carpet alongside Graham Norton, Angela Scanlon, Maura Higgins, Laura Whitmore, Una Healy, Siobhán McSweeney, Anthony Boyle, Lola Petticrew, and Hazel Doupe.

Palestinian-American comedian Mo Amer will perform at the 3Olympia Theatre in Dublin on Thursday, September 25. Announced as part of his El Oso Palestino Tour , the performance is expected to see Amer reflect on topics including family, fatherhood and identity in todays political climate. A comedian as well as an actor and writer, Amer is known for co-creating and starring in the acclaimed Netflix series MO , which is based on his own life story. The first season of the show is set in the US and follows the Palestinian refugee as he attempts to obtain citizenship through a complex immigration process. Its second instalment, which was released in January, takes place in the Israeli-occupied West Bank and sees Amer's character and his family try to readapt to life in the territory. The semi-autobiographical comedy drama has earned widespread praise, including a 100% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes. Amer has also appeared in the Hulu series Ramy and starred alongside Dwayne Johnson in Black Adam . The Houston-raised artist has two Netflix stand-up specials under his name: The Vagabond and Mohammed in Texas. Meet Love Island's gorgeous Irish bombshells everyone's talking about
Love Island returns to Irish screens tonight, kicking off its 12th season with a fresh batch of lovestruck singles ready to find romance under the Balearic sun. This year, all eyes are on Ireland, with two contestants from Dublin and Limerick already grabbing attention before the villa doors have even opened. Early betting odds from BoyleSports reveal that Dublin energy broker and musical theatre performer Megan Forte Clarke is a clear favourite to win. And while he says he'd be "keeping my head above water" in the dating world, he's ready to settle down and "invest in some stocks". As for his flirting style?
