Taking to X, Rama Rao said that more than 12 people died and many others critically injured but not one Telangana Minister showed up till now. Rama Rao said that the reactor explosion in the Pashamilaram industrial area in Patancheru was extremely tragic. KTR expressed concern over the news that the death toll was likely to rise. He appealed to the government to ensure that all the injured get the best medical assistance. Saying that safety audits were mandatory for all industrial units, KTR demanded that the government conduct a thorough investigation into the safety lapses in this accident. He wanted those responsible for the deaths to be severely punished. He suggested that the families of the deceased be financially supported. He expressed his deepest sympathies to the family members of the deceased, and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.

New Delhi: Ahead of his 'Voter Adhikar Yatra' from Bihar's Sasaram on Sunday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi paid tribute to 'Mountain Man' Dashrath Manjhi on his death anniversary and said that the latter will "always continue to inspire us all". In a post on the social media platform X in Hindi, he said that Manjhi's "struggle reminds us that if intentions are strong, no obstacle is too big". "His determination and passion to accomplish what he set out to do will always inspire us all," Rahul Gandhi said. Notably, Manjhi was known as 'Mountain Man' for single-handedly carving a path through a hill in Gehlaur village to connect it with Wajirganj block in Bihar's Gaya district. Dashrath Manjhi, a native of Gehlaur village, cut a mountain to make a road between his village and Wazirganj. It took him 22 years to work every day with a hammer and a chisel. When his wife died in 1959 after being injured from falling from the mountain, and the same mountain blocked easy access to a nearby hospital in time, he decided to carve a path. With this feat done single-handedly, he is revered by the Manjhi community. Noting his contribution, a stamp featuring Dashrath Manjhi was released by India Post in the "Personalities of Bihar" series on December 26, 2016. A Hindi movie, 'Manjhi – The Mountain Man', was released and well-received. Dashrath Manjhi has a larger-than-life image among the Musahar community. The Bihar government has built a statue and memorial of Dashrath Manjhi. Gehlaur is one of the tourist attractions in the district. A large number of Buddhists come to Bodh Gaya every year, and the majority of them also visit the memorial of the Mountain Man. Majhi's son, Bhagirath Manjhi, is a Congress leader and was inducted into the grand old party days after participating in the 'Samvidhaan Suraksha Sammelan' in Patna. Dashrath Manjhi's son-in-law, Mithun Manjhi, is in the JD(U).

Moreover, Shivakumar admitting the conspiracy, being in the government, itself has led to confusion about whether the Congress government is in connivance with the anonymous person in tarnishing the image of Dharmasthala, Joshi said. Voter Adhikar Yatra: Bihar minister takes dig at Rahul Gandhi; tells him to thank Nitish for smooth roads making 'big yatra' possible
Rahul Gandhi (left), NItish Kumar (TOI) Bihar minister Ashok Choudhary on Sunday took a sharp dig at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi ahead of the launch of the party's 'Voter Adhikar Yatra', saying he should thank chief minister Nitish Kumar for improving road infrastructure in the state, which made the rally possible, reported news agency ANI. 'Rahul Gandhi should thank Nitish Kumar, for the roads that used to be in such bad shape are now so smooth that Rahul Gandhi is even able to take out a Yatra... He should be grateful that such a big Yatra will be possible due to Nitish Kumar's roads,' Choudhary said, as quoted by the agency. The Congress-led yatra is being launched from Sasaram in protest against the election commission's special intensive revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls in Bihar. The party, along with INDIA block allies, alleges large-scale voter exclusion and 'vote theft'. Senior leaders including RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, former Bihar deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav, Congress president mallikarjun kharge and Rahul Gandhi are expected to participate. Preparations for the event are underway outside in Patna. Bihar leader of opposition Tejashwi Yadav, addressing the media on Saturday, said the campaign aims to raise awareness among voters whose names have been excluded from the electoral list.
