Another action-packed night of boxing is making its way onto the summer schedule.
The Turki Alalshikh-owned Ring Magazine announced on Thursday night that Shakur Stevenson is set to defend his WBC lightweight title against his mandatory challenger William Zepeda on a Ring Magazine boxing card on July 12 at a venue to be decided in New York.

Now, Ring Magazine has revealed three more fights for its July 12 card.
In the night's co-feature, Britain's Hamzah Sheeraz will move up to super middleweight to take on Nuyorican Edgar Berlanga.
Sheeraz (21-0-1, 17 KOs) was fortunate to be awarded a draw in his first world title challenge against WBC middleweight champion Carlos Adames in February. Standing 6-foot-3, Sheeraz was a giant in the 160-pound weight class and now makes the move up to 168 pounds.
Berlanga (23-1, 18 KOs) was also unsuccessful in his lone title challenge. "The Chosen One" rose off the floor to extend Saul "Canelo" Alvarez the 12-round distance for the unified super middleweight title this past September. Berlanga rebounded with a first-round TKO win over Jonathan Gonzalez-Ortiz in the final fight of his promotional deal with Eddie Hearn's Matchroom Boxing.

Also on the July 12 show, Alberto Puello is set to defend his WBC super lightweight title against former IBF champion Subriel Matias.
Puello (24-0, 10 KOs) won the WBC interim title with a split decision nod over Gary Antuanne Russell this past June. The Dominican was upgraded to full WBC champion soon after and made the first defense of his belt in March, winning a contentious decision over Sandor Martin.
Matias (22-2, 22 KOs) became the IBF champion with a fifth-round win over Jeremias Ponce in February 2023. The Puerto Rican managed only one defense of his belt before losing a split decision to Liam Paro in Matias' homecoming fight. Matias has picked up two stoppage wins since his defeat to Paro and now heads into another world title fight.

Rounding out the card, David Morrell meets Imam Khataev in a light heavyweight clash.
Morrell (11-1, 9 KOs), a former two-division WBA (regular) champion, suffered the first loss of his career in a thriller against David Benavidez earlier this year.
Khataev (10-0, 9 KOs), a 2020 Olympic bronze medalist, emerged with his hands raised after a 10-round slugfest with Durval Elias Palacio down under on the George Kambosos vs. Jake Wylie undercard. It will be a big step up for Khataev against Morrell, but a win could place him firmly in the mix to challenge for a light heavyweight championship.
The event's headliner, Stevenson (23-0, 11 KOs), a three-division world champion, won the WBC lightweight title with a decision win in a forgettable fight with Edwin De Los Santos in November 2023. The American southpaw has since made two defenses of his title — a dominant decision win over Artem Harutyunyan this past July, as well as a ninth-round stoppage of Josh Padley in February.
Zepeda (33-0, 27 KOs) looked like an indestructible force until he came up against Tevin Farmer on the Gilberto Ramirez vs. Chris Billam-Smith undercard this past November. Zepeda recovered from a knockdown to win a controversial split decision over Farmer on that night. Zepeda and Farmer rematched in March, with Zepeda once again edging a close fight — this time by majority decision.

Steph Curry's Thirty Ink Generates $174 Million In 2024, 'It's About Creating True Representation And Opportunity From A Grassroots Level'

Steph Curry's house-of-brands conglomerate Thirty Ink generated $173.5 million in revenue in 2024, the company told CNBC on Wednesday. Thirty Ink owns Unanimous Media, Gentleman's Cut bourbon, and Underrated Golf and Basketball. However, the highest percentage of the company's revenue comes from Curry's partnership with Under Armour (NYSE:UAA, UA)). There, the NBA star is president of Curry Brand, a basketball and golf footwear and apparel line. As a part of the 2023 deal with the sportswear company, Curry was given 8.8 million common shares, which were valued at $75 million at the time. The company said that while it incurs annual expenses for using Curry's name, image, and likeness, it doesn't rack up traditional bottom-line operational costs, which allows for its exorbitant earnings. Thirty Ink's secretary chair, Suresh Singh, told CNBC that every brand under the company's umbrella is profitable. "It's completely unique. One of the big things, I believe, is that there's a lot of athlete- and celebrity-driven partnerships and businesses that aren't necessarily focused on profit, aren't necessarily focused on mission. We do both," he said. "Obviously, from a national perspective, a lot of the narrative is trying to peel back programs and opportunities that are programs and resources that are allowing people to have just a fair shot and a fair chance," Curry said in an interview with CNBC. "Everything that we do and what I can control is about true equity. If you look at all of our businesses — our DEI writers for Unanimous, or even looking at something like the Underrated brand — it's about creating true representation and opportunity from a grassroots level." Trending: Wall Street's Missing This AI Surgical Tech — You Don't Have To. "All that stuff is important to me. I want to actually walk the walk and live it. And hopefully that's an example for how our country should," he told CNBC. Thirty Ink's mission is to "elevate the under" according to its website, a goal that manifests differently for every brand. Unanimous Media co-founder and co-CEO Eric Peyton told CNBC that it looks like hiring diverse writers to create projects about family, faith and sports. "[Curry's] vision is to inspire through media," he said. It's really a feeling when you watch our projects, hopefully you're a little bit happier, you know, maybe it makes you feel a little bit better." Unanimous Media is currently four years into a first-look deal with Comcast's (NASDAQ:CMCSA) NBC Universal unit. Next year, it will release its first full-length feature film, "GOAT," with Sony Pictures Animation. With Gentlemen's Cut and Underrated Golf and Basketball, that mission expresses itself as a commitment to DEI. Gentlemen's Cut was in talks with a buyer who wanted to feature Black-owned businesses, in 2024. The Trump administration's crackdown on DEI squashed the deal, but it would have valued the business between $120 million and $200 million, a source told CNBC. Underrated Golf, according to the company's website, is specifically designed to give Black children an opportunity to participate in a sport that hasn't historically catered to them. Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire: A hitter you should be 'looking to add now before he pops off' leads pack

There's always room to strengthen your lineup, and this week offers a blend of post-injury returns, emerging power and sneaky multi-position eligibility. Here are five hitters making noise or worth stashing in competitive fantasy formats. [Smarter waivers, better trades, optimized lineups — Yahoo Fantasy Plus unlocks it all] It's unlikely, but check if Addison Barger (49% rostered) is still on the wire, as he's been on a tear lately. Anyway, back to the players who are more likely to be available. Christian Encarnacion-Strand, 1B, Cincinnati Reds (22% rostered) Encarnacion-Strand came out firing off IL this weekend, going 4-for-8 with two homers, two runs and four RBI in his first two games. I'm ignoring the .209 average since injuries have limited him to just 17 plate appearances this year. Advertisement He's hitting in the four-spot and is poised to provide a much-needed power surge to a potent Reds lineup that's underwhelmed this season. If you're chasing home runs or need a corner infielder with legit upside, CES is a top-tier target this week. Jesús Sánchez, OF, Miami Marlins (11% rostered) Sánchez is doing everything to warrant fantasy managers' attention. Over the past two weeks, the outfielder ranks 18th overall, hitting .395 with three dingers, 11 RBI, nine runs and a robust 1.079 OPS. Beyond the traditional stats, the peripherals point to real progress — Sánchez owns a 45% hard-hit rate and has trimmed his strikeout rate to a career-low 23% with an 11% walk rate, all signs he's maturing at the plate. He's approaching top-50 status in the last month, making him a solid add in 12-team leagues and a great depth piece in deeper formats. Parker Meadows, OF, Detroit Tigers (24% rostered) Meadows has started slowly since coming off the 60-day IL list, but now is the time to buy. In 82 games last season, Meadows was a 2.2 bWAR player for the Tigers, posting a 109 OPS+, all of which were above league average. It's been less than a month, but Meadows is already showing improvements with his plate discipline, with a 17.9% K rate and a 17.9 % walk rate. He's stolen two bases in his seven games and is another talented young player with a 20/20 upside. Although the sample size is relatively small, his hitting metrics suggest he's due. Advertisement The Tigers appear ready to let the 25-year-old run, and they'll need it. Detroit ranks last in stolen bases this season despite being the best team in baseball. He'll get regular time in center field and should continue to hit at the top of the order. He's a savvy pickup with multi-category potential. Ronny Mauricio, 2B, New York Mets (13% rostered) Mauricio is the ninth-ranked prospect in the Mets organization, and after missing all of last season recovering from a torn ACL, he's back in the big leagues. The Dominican infielder posted strong batted-ball rates in the minors before the injury, showcasing impressive bat speed and improving discipline. Standing at 6-foot-3, the second baseman has the tools to be a fantasy asset, possessing true 20/20 potential. He hit at least 20 homers in the minors from 2021 to 2023, along with swiping 55 bases. Advertisement The power and speed combo will mesh well in a top-10 offense, and it never hurts to hit in the sixth slot for the best team in the National League. Given the Mets' unsettled infield and Mauricio's talent ceiling, he's a player I'm looking to add now before he pops off. Trevor Larnach, OF, Minnesota Twins (20% rostered) Larnach's underlying metrics aren't ideal. Still, he's on a heater and is providing exceptional run support for a Twins team that's 35-30 through Sunday night. The former first-round pick ranks 70th over the past 30 days, slashing .305/.348/.524 with a .872 OPS, five home runs and 14 RBI. The 28-year-old is on pace to set career-highs in HRs, RBI and runs and, as long as he's getting consistent at-bats near the top of the order, there's short-term value in the near term with the potential for more as long as he keeps producing at this level.
