Cops confirm nudity at controversial ‘love programme'
SHAH ALAM : Police have confirmed that the controversial eHati marriage motivation programme held last year featured an activity involving nudity.
Selangor police chief Hussein Omar Khan said the nudity-related acts took place during the 'Queens Night' segment on the final day of the programme, held from Sept 27 to 30, 2024.
'There were two packages offered as part of the programme – Package A, priced at about RM6,000, and Package B, at about RM9,000, which included the Queens Night,' he told a press conference at the state police headquarters here today.
This follows claims by a Facebook user alleging that a female speaker, initially dressed in a bikini, had stripped naked and danced with participants during the event's final night.
They allegedly encouraged participants to follow suit, and remove their clothes after giving them a 'mysterious' drink.
Hussein urged those involved in the programme to come forward and give their statements.
He said six people have been arrested so far, comprising four women and two men, including two married couples.
Police also seized several items, including liquids, as part of their investigation.
Statements have also been recorded from 30 people, including the event's organisers and participants.
Yesterday, police arrested Diyana Tahir and Rahim Shukor, the founders of eHati International Sdn Bhd, and raided their home after they gave their statements at the police headquarters.
The couple previously denied promoting obscene acts and insulting behaviour in their eHati marriage motivation programme, saying the activities were aligned with Islamic values.
Police are investigating the programme under criminal laws covering obscene acts, modesty, and public decency.

Missing teen allegedly told parents not to look for him
SHAH ALAM: An email believed to be written by missing British teenager David Renz Galletes Balisong was sent to his parents urging them not to try and locate him, say police. 'The email was sent to his mother on July 9. It said not to worry or try to find him. In a social media post on Thursday (July 17), the 72-year-old revealed that her luggage had been ransacked after she checked in for her flight, with her luxury winter coat and designer handbags among the items stolen. The missing belongings were reportedly worth HK$56,016 (RM30,310) – significantly more than the price of her plane ticket. 'Wow, I opened my suitcase at home only to find everything valuable missing. Lewd activities part of eHati event, say cops
SHAH ALAM: At least four people who attended the controversial eHati Love Intensive event removed their clothes during the session, say police. Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said the incident occurred as part of the supposed motivational self-love programme's 'Queen's Night' section. 'We have arrested six individuals, including four women, and they have been remanded for three days. 'Some equipment and the liquids given as drinks have been seized and they will be checked by the Chemistry Department. 'Up till now there were confirmed instances of 'naked' activities involving at least four people. They were doing so as part of the so-called Queen's Night,' he said at a press conference at the police contingent headquarters here yesterday. As of now, no footage or recordings of the event have been found, he added. He said the event offered two packages with the more expensive one involving the Queen's Night activities. It is believed that this was the first time the Queen's Night aspect was conducted, but investigations are underway to detect if similar activities were conducted in previous events. We have recorded statements from around 30 people. 'We also remind those who attended to give their statements willingly before the police conduct more arrests. 'I can confirm that there were also public servants who attended the event,' he said, adding that they have the full list of participants. 'This programme was not based on Islam but was for general motivation. There were participants who were non-Muslims,' he said. Previously, the Islamic Development Department of Malaysia (Jakim) said in a statement that it had started investigations over the motivational talk where it was alleged that semi-naked dancing and 'holy cleansing baths' were conducted.
