WisDOT: Weight restrictions to begin for the majority of Wisconsin highways

(WFRV) – Officials with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) announced that weight restrictions are expected to begin on Thursday, March 6 at 12:01 a.m.
According to a release from WisDOT, Class II restrictions are being enacted for the majority of Wisconsin Highways including Zone 2 through Zone 5 with Class II restrictions for Zone 1 expected to start on Monday, March 10.
Officials say Class II roads include about 1,400 miles of state highways that could be susceptible to damage from heavy trucks throughout the spring-thaw period as frost leaves the ground.
March Law of the Month has the Wisconsin State Patrol urging drivers to secure trailers and cargo for safety
Seasonal posted road restrictions are expected to go into effect on Monday, March 10 at 12:01 a.m. which could include posted or limited to legal load limits on county highways, town roads, city streets, and village streets.
WisDOT does provide a maintained interactive map on its website to see where there are active seasonal weight restrictions.

MENASHA, Wis. (WFRV) – The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) has announced the temporary closure of two bridges in Menasha for scheduled maintenance work. WisDOT officials say the closures will impact the Tayco Street Bridge and the Racine Street Bridge on Thursday, May 15, and Friday, May 16, respectively. Washington County WIS 33 resurfacing project begins May 1

The Brief Construction crews will be resurfacing a stretch of WIS 33 in Washington County. The project is slated to begin on Thursday, May 1. If all goes well, the project will be complete by the end of summer. NEWBURG, Wis. - Wisconsin has approved a $2.5 million resurfacing project along WIS 33 in Washington County. What we know Work is scheduled to begin on Thursday, May 1 between County Y and 0.5 miles west of N. Poplar Road. Improvements includes resurfacing approximately 3.2 miles of WIS 33 within the project limits, removing three (3) inches of existing asphalt and replace with four (4) inches of new asphalt, and repairs to various curb and gutter.
