Khloé Kardashian Breaks Silence On Reason For New Found Caregiver Role
The mother-of-two opened up about why she needed to fill in the big shoes of looking after Tristan Thompson's younger brother after their mother, Andrea Thompson.
Khloé Kardashian welcomed two kids with the NBA player, True Thompson in 2018 and Tatum Thompson in 2022, during their on-and-off relationship, which lasted for about five years and officially ended in 2021.
Khloé Kardashian Is Pleased To Have Amari Thompson As A Part Of Her Family
The reality star shared on her podcast that after Andrea passed away in 2023, it became important for them to pay extra attention to Amari, who has also lost his primary caregiver in the person of his mother.
Hence, she continued that the family decided to take Amari back to the United States, as he lived with Andrea in Canada. Tristan also filed to become Amari's sole caregiver after they laid Andrea to rest.
Khloé explained that Tristan's schedule was another hurdle they needed to scale since he was always on the move, and Amari's health could absolutely not withstand that kind of stress due to the multiple seizures.
The Hulu star then noted that the whole family finally decided that Amari should stay with her in Los Angeles. The weather in the area is also excellent for his health, and Amari enjoys the company of Khloé, her family, and her two kids.
"We just want to provide Amari with the best, most beautiful life that we know how. And he deserves that," the podcaster concluded on the season finale of her "Khloé in Wonderland" podcast.
She also affirmed that Amari is under expert care around the clock with the most experienced team of caregivers.
The 41-Year-Old Is Doing It All For The Love Of Tristan's Late Mother
Khloé added that her phenomenal relationship with Tristan's mother, despite the complicated bond between her and Tristan, aided her relationship with Amari. She also recalled getting active with Andrea on Amari's treatments and medical records.
According to Khloé, Andrea "would have questions, she would need connections to certain doctors, and I would help with that. I was very much involved in all of his medical appointments when Andrea was here."
The mother-of-two continued that she is fully aware of how much Amari meant to his late mother, and her bond with Tristan's family is not severed by her and Tristan's extinct relationship.
That is not all, Khloé stressed the importance of having Amari around to bond with his nieces and nephews and remind her kids that special people deserve love. She added that Amari's presence will teach her kids "compassion" and "understanding."
"And I love seeing how Amari lights up when he's around the kids. He can't verbally talk, but … if you know him well enough, he can definitely express himself, and you see the glimmer in his eyes," Khloé noted.
Khloé's Family Had An Emotional Reaction To Amari's Seizure During His 18th Birthday
As shared by Today, Khloé and her family gathered in her home to celebrate Amari's 18th birthday, as aired in the 6th season of their hit Hulu show "The Kardashians." Khloé described the event as a huge milestone for the youngster who makes every day with him feel like a blessing.
However, Amari suffered one of his seizures during the event, which sent chills down Kris Jenner's spine. The younger Thompson suffers from a severe form of epilepsy known as Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome, making him in need of a 24/7 assistant.
According to the Cleveland Clinic, Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome is a form of childhood epilepsy that causes multiple seizures and exposes the patient to the risk of permanent brain damage.
Kris became emotional at the sight of Amari's seizure, noting in a later confessional that the feeling of helplessness when someone is in a state of distress is frustrating.
"It's uncontrollable and there's nothing that you can really do, but I'm glad I was here. I'm glad I was here for Amari. I'm glad I was here for Khloé," Kris noted.
She expressed her pride in Khloé for handling the situation with so much patience and precision and remaining unwavering in support for Amari.
The Good American Founder Got Candid About Parenting Struggles
The doting mom and entrepreneur does not pretend about the hassles of raising two kids and how she finds herself needing help. As shared by The Blast, Khloé stated that she will not be stigmatized for seeking additional support with her children.
On her podcast, the 41-year-old slammed the culture of shaming moms into battling the stress of parenting in silence.
"People that talk sh-t about nannies, we all have help in some capacity. You can call it daycare, you can call it a school, you can call it in-laws, your mother, sister, or whoever. A babysitter," Khloé noted.
In a 2024 episode of their reality show, she confided in her sister, Kourtney Kardashian, that not having people to help her with the kids at night usually leaves her overwhelmed and exhausted at night.
Khloé Kardashian Spoke On Parenting With Tristan Thompson
The reality star and her baby daddy have come a long way in their relationship, whether as ex-lovers or parents of two toddlers. In a story by PEOPLE, the podcaster explained that both of them have gotten to a point in their interaction where they maintain a great friendship borne out of mutual respect.
The star admitted last year that they eventually realized they were great individuals separately, but not meant to be partners. However, she commended the professional basketballer for being a very excellent father to their children.
Khloé added that parenting comes in multiple facets, all of which she enjoys. In her words, she feels she was made to be a mother, and there is no place she would rather be than at home with her babies.

Former Boston Celtics big man Guerschon Yabusele on why he signed with the New York Knicks
Former Boston Celtics big man Guerschon Yabusele has carved out a role for himself in the NBA since coming back over from Europe to join the Philadelphia 76ers last season. He has since gone on to become one of the NBA's more desired role players in free agency this summer, eventually settling on signing with the New York Knicks. Drafted by the Celtics in the first round of the 2016 NBA Draft at No. 16 overall, the Dancing Bear (as he is sometimes called for a nickname) had to wait a season playing abroad with the Shanghai Sharks in the CBA before he joined Boston for his first crack at sticking in the NBA, but was clearly not quite ready for the speed and physicality of the game in the states. But Yabu (another, more obvious nickname) has since found his footing at the NBA level, and looks poised to spread his wings in the Big Apple next season. He recently took some time to talk it over with the hosts of the "Roommates Show," who happen to be his Knicks teammates Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart. Check it out below! Paradise Season 2: Release window, cast updates and plot details
Hulu's Paradise really shook things up when it dropped — blending political thriller, sci-fi mystery, and emotional drama into one gripping package. After that wild ride of a first season, fans are already counting down the days until Season 2. So, what's next for the bunker survivors and the world beyond? Here's what we know. Release Window: When Will Paradise Season 2 Premiere? Hulu hasn't announced an official release date yet, but production is already rolling — filming started back in March 2025. Creator Dan Fogelman has said he doesn't want a huge gap between seasons, so the plan is to aim for early 2026. If they stay on schedule, it could even mirror the January 2025 debut of Season 1. Basically, we probably won't have to wait forever — fingers crossed for early next year. Cast Updates: Who's Returning and Who's New? Good news: most of the main cast is returning. Sterling K. Brown is back as Agent Xavier Collins — the emotional anchor of the show — as he continues unraveling conspiracies while dealing with personal loss. Julianne Nicholson is also returning as Samantha 'Sinatra' Redmond, despite that brutal Season 1 finale. Her character's story is far from over, especially with her grip on bunker power now seriously shaken. Other returning cast members include Nicole Brydon Bloom (Jane), Krys Marshall (Robinson), Sarah Shahi (Gabriela), Charlie Evans (Jeremy), Aliyah Mastin (Presley), and Percy Daggs IV (James). As for James Marsden's President Cal Bradford — well, let's just say his character's arc might be limited to flashbacks, considering how Season 1 ended. There are also some fresh faces joining the story. Shailene Woodley is stepping into a big recurring role — she's playing a survivor Xavier meets above ground. Her character's backstory (teased during Comic-Con) reveals she once worked at Graceland, so expect a layered, emotional journey there. Thomas Doherty's also joining as Link, the smooth-talking leader of a biker gang, along with Michael McGrady and Timothy Omundson, who'll play two of his crew, Geiger and Chef. Raymond Cham Jr. and Ryan Michelle Bathé (who's actually Sterling K. Brown's real-life wife) are also coming on board in mysterious roles we don't know much about yet. Plot Details: What's Next for Paradise? The second season is expected to pick up right after that intense Season 1 finale — the mystery of President Bradford's murder is solved, but plenty of loose threads are still hanging. This time, the story's going to split into two main fronts: Xavier's journey above ground and all the drama continuing inside the bunker. Outside, Xavier is on a mission to find his wife Teri, who he now believes might still be alive. Along the way, he'll meet survivors trying to rebuild a life in the chaos, totally cut off from the safety and secrets of the bunker. The world outside is rough, raw, and unpredictable — and it'll lean more heavily into the sci-fi side of things as we start understanding what really happened. Meanwhile, inside the bunker, power struggles are far from over. Sinatra is recovering from her injuries and trying to claw her way back into control. Jane, who shot her, is also getting a spotlight — she's getting a whole standalone episode that reportedly reveals something seriously off about her. Expect a deeper dive into what makes her tick. Creator Dan Fogelman has already mapped out a three-season arc for Paradise , with each season shifting in tone but keeping the same emotional center. Season 2 will open up new mysteries, introduce new factions, and dig into the bunker's true purpose — all while raising the emotional stakes for Xavier and those around him. Ahmedabad Plane Crash
