Tom Kerridge shares secret he's hiding from wife as she'll 'go mental'
Celebrity chef Tom Kerridge is a man of many talents - but there's one thing he's keeping from his wife, Beth, and it's all to do with his love for the band Oasis
Celebrity chef Tom Kerridge and his wife Beth have been a couple since their fateful meeting in 1997, when she boldly asked him for £3 to cover the cost of a stripper at his mate's birthday party.
Despite facing numerous challenges together, including the gruelling hours spent launching their now-famed eatery The Hand and Flowers in Marlow, there remains one thing Tom refuses to share with his other half.
Speaking to The Guardian, Tom, an ardent Oasis fan, expressed his excitement for the band's upcoming reunion concerts later this year but also shared his concerns – particularly one he's keeping under wraps from Beth.
He admitted: "I had to pay a huge amount of money for the tickets," confessing only they cost "a lot". He added: "I can't divulge because my wife would go mental.
"One, because I had to pay a huge amount of money for the tickets. And two, because it's in September so they might not even be together by then!"
While tickets for the iconic Manchester group's eagerly awaited Wembley Stadium gigs were originally set between £75 and £200, they've skyrocketed on resale platforms like StubHub, fetching up to £8,000 for a pair, reports Gloucestershire Live.
Not only did Tom secure a Michelin star within a year of opening The Hand and Flowers with Beth, but his deep-seated passion for Oasis also saw him clinch one of his most cherished achievements – being crowned the winner of Celebrity Mastermind.
"Oasis was my specialist subject," he revealed to Kate Thornton on her White Wine Question Time podcast. "Two Michelin stars, the first, first pub in the world to ever do it, and Celebrity Mastermind winner!"
Tom shared a hilarious anecdote with Kate about the time one of his musical heroes visited his Buckinghamshire pub while keeping his trademark jacket on during the entire meal. "He's a very funny character," Tom said, reminiscing about the visit.
"He's very full-on. He came to eat one day in the Hand and Flowers, and not once did he never stop being Liam Gallagher.
"He spent the whole lunch with his cagoule on, zipped up to the top. He was drinking espresso martinis right, from the start, all the way through to the end. And when he finished his lunch, he moon-walked into the kitchen to thank all the chefs."
The chef didn't hold back his admiration for the rock icon, telling Kate: "He's actually Liam Gallagher but on steroids! He's twice the Liam Gallagher you ever think he's gonna be."
Tom added: "For me, Liam Gallagher should be Prime Minister. He's one of the great philosophers of our time. He's my leader."

He also said that the Gallagher brothers make him laugh during interviews, describing them as 'witty' and 'on it in a working-class, quick-as-you-can way'. The interview comes after he opened up on the loss of his wife last month. The singer lost his beloved spouse of 44 years Nora Foster in April 2023 after a five-year battle with Alzheimer's disease. John, who was known as Johnny Rotten during his Sex Pistols days, had drawn an incredible amount of public sympathy following her death having selflessly cared for Nora full-time until her final hours. Now over two years after she passed, the extravagant singer has opened up on the 'agony' he felt as Nora suffered a painful death. In an interview with The Daily Telegraph, the 69-year-old said: 'The pain will never go away. She died painfully, suffocating. They call it the death rattle.' Recalling the moment doctors asked him whether they should prolong Nora's life, he added: 'I couldn't say "yes, stop". No, I fought for her life as hard as she fought for it. 'It's insane, and you don't know how to handle it (the death of a partner). And you can end up being really aggressive with people mollycoddling you. But you have to be full of rage to break out of it, or you'll end up as that sympathetic doddering old idiot that you know you would hate yourself.' The singer had previously admitted he 'always loved' Nora having met her in 1975 at a Vivienne Westwood clothes shop - 'there was an instant attraction,' he said. John previously blasted the Sex Pistols recent tour as 'karaoke', branding the group 'impossible to deal with'. The singer revealed he is indeed no longer on speaking terms with his old bandmates after they fell out over a Disney+ TV series he opposed. The dispute resulted in a High Court battle between John and the Sex Pistols over the use of the band's music in the series - which Rotten ultimately lost. John said he 'won't forget' that his old bandmates 'dragged him through the courts' while Nora was seriously ill. The Sex Pistols shot to fame after forming in 1975, but just three years later they had split up. Their only album together, Never Mind the B******s* - a UK number one - is now a staple of punk rock. The band - whose controversial legacy rests upon their anti-establishment values - famously called the Royal family 'fascists' in 1977's God Save The Queen. But in 1978, John formed Public Image Ltd, with the first line-up of the band including bassist Jah Wobble and former Clash guitarist Keith Levene. Inside Oasis' setlist after iconic song is heard in rehearsals
It's not your imaaaaginaasheeeunnn – it's been revealed that one of Oasis' classic hits will make the setlist of their 2025 world tour. The Manchester rock group, fronted by brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher, announced a reunion tour 15 years after their acrimonious split in 2009. Starting in Cardiff in July, the Oasis Live 25 tour will conclude in Sao Paolo, Brazil, in November, with five sold-out Manchester dates penciled in for mid-July. With the big tour just a month away now, fans are on the hunt for any hints at the classic Oasis hits that might be included by Liam and Noel in the setlist. Oasis scored an impressive eight number one singles across their 15 years in the spotlight, with a total of 23 of their songs hitting the top 10 of the UK charts. Not to mention that Liam and Noel might use spots in the setlist to perform songs they wrote as part of side-projects Beady Eye and High Flying Birds respectively. This means that some big hits are unlikely to make the cut, leaving some fans disappointed – but one big hit that seems to have been included is the 1994 song Cigarettes & Alcohol. Famed for its interpolation of T-Rex's 1971 chart-topper Get It On (which itself was inspired by a Chuck Berry song) Cigarettes & Alcohol reached number seven in the UK in 1994. It was the final single from Oasis' debut album Definitely Maybe, and eventually reached Platinum status in the UK in March 2020 after shifting 600,000 units. A source who was at one of the band's rehearsals told The Sun: 'Oasis have never sounded better. They were playing Cigarettes & Alcohol and Liam's vocals sounded really good. '[Liam's impressive vocals] were probably down to the two packets of Lockets cough sweets that he was sucking throughout the rehearsal.' The source added: 'You could hear Noel's lead guitar really well and he sounded so good too. To hear them playing live, and playing so loudly, was an incredible moment.' News about the setlist has come just days after it was claimed that Liam and Noel hadn't yet rehearsed together – reports that now appear to be untrue. Insiders claimed that the brothers were taking the same rumoured approach as Rolling Stones legends Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, who would often rehearse apart from each other. More Trending Mick and Keith had personal beef with one another after both rockers ended up being responsible for the break-up of each other's relationships. On top of the promising reports about Cigarettes & Alcohol, Liam confirmed that one Oasis song definitely being included in the setlist is What's the Story? album opener Hello. Rumours suggested that Hello would be cut because it featured lyrics written by former glam rock popstar and convicted sex offender Gary Glitter (real name Paul Gadd).
