Sydney Sweeney Wears Bridal-Inspired Look After Jonathan Davino Split
Originally appeared on E! Online
Sydney Sweeney may have called off her engagement, but she's still going to wear bridal white.
In her first red carpet appearance since news broke that she and fiancé went their separate ways, the Euphoria star donned an ivory-colored satin dress by Wiederhoeft to a CinemaCon panel in Las Vegas.
Sydney, 27, completed the figure-hugging look—which featured a strapless, corset bodice and an oversized belt from the bridal fashion label—with a pair of white, pointed-toe heels.
She was joined by her The Housemaid costars Amanda Seyfried and Brandon Sklenar, as well as the thriller's director Paul Feig, for the event.
Sydney has not publicly addressed her split from Jonathan, who she dated for seven years. However, a member of her inner circle has denied that she is dating her Anyone But You costar Glen Powell.
"They're definitely not together," Glen's mom Cyndy Powell, who calls herself "close friends" with Sydney, told the Daily Mail March 31, laughing off the romance rumors as "silly."

Explaining how Sydney is "really close friends" with Glen, she clarified that the White Lotus alum's recent attendance to his sister Leslie Powell's Texas wedding was strictly platonic.
"We love Sydney," Cyndy added. 'We've considered her just a really, really good friend. We were all together so much and we haven't seen her in a long time. She's really a friend and we all enjoy her.'
But this is not the first time Sydney and Glen, 36, faced dating speculation. Back in 2023, the pair raised eyebrows with their offscreen chemistry while promoting Anyone But You, which Glen later admitted that they leaned into as a way to hype up the film.
"The two things that you have to sell a rom-com are fun and chemistry," the actor told the New York Times in April 2024. "Sydney and I have a ton of fun together, and we have a ton of effortless chemistry. That's people wanting what's on the screen off the screen, and sometimes you just have to lean into it a bit—and it worked wonderfully."
He added, "Sydney is very smart."

George Clooney shows off hair transformation at Tony Awards: 'I had to cut it out'
George Clooney is back to his silver fox self. The "Good Night, and Good Luck" star, who was nominated at the 78th annual Tony Awards on June 8, returned to his signature salt-and-pepper hairdo, as seen by Clooney's red-carpet appearance with wife Amal Clooney. The Oscar-winning actor had previously dyed his hair black for his starring role as CBS journalist Edward R. Murrow in the Broadway play. "I had to cut it all out with a weed whacker to get it all," Clooney told E! News. "That black hair dye, I had to cut it out. You can't color that." Despite the hairy ordeal, Clooney, 64, and Amal made a stylish splash on the Tony Awards carpet. The "ER" alum evoked Hollywood heartthrob vibes in a classic black-and-white tuxedo, while Amal, 47, stunned in a white, off-the-shoulder frock. The actor, who was up for best leading actor in a play for his portrayal of Murrow, joked about the lukewarm reception of his darker hair in an April interview with "CBS Mornings." Need a break? Play the USA TODAY Daily Crossword Puzzle. "It's not my favorite look, and my wife, she thinks it's funny," Clooney said at the time. "Honestly, nothing makes you look older than being 63 and dyeing your hair." Just like the closing night of "Good Night, and Good Luck," which took place the same day as the Tonys, Clooney's brunette era was bound to have its final bow. The actor hinted at his hair transformation in a June 3 interview on "Late Night with Seth Meyers." "We do a matinee, and then by the time we go to the Tonys that night, it'll be gone," Clooney told Meyers. "I may have a shaved head."

Brittany Renner confirms her divorce to Kevin Gates. ‘I followed my heart'
Brittany Renner said she followed her heart and is getting divorced. (Warning: The below link contains language some may find offensive.) In a recent radio interview with REAL 92.3 LA, the 33-year-old 'Basketball Wives' star revealed that she and her husband, rapper Kevin Gates, are officially going their separate ways. 'We got married April 6 and divorced May 28,' Renner said in the interview, which aired June 7. The social media star says the couple must now enter a 90-day waiting period. The waiting period, known as iddah in Islam, is meant to ensure that a woman is not pregnant. Renner converted to Islam in August 2024, per Complex. 'And then also in those 90 days it's for reconciliation, because Allah wants you to stay married,' Renner explained. 'During those 90 days, you are not to entertain anybody romantically.' Renner and Gates, who converted to Islam in 2016, went Instagram official in April, according to E! News. The couple sparked engagement rumors the following month after Renner appeared at the season 12 premiere of 'Basketball Wives,' which aired May 5, with a ring on her ring finger. Renner later referred to Gates as her husband in a since-deleted Instagram post May 4, per E! News. 'You don't fit on this show and that's why you're a fit for this show,' Brittany wrote in the caption. 'Last night at the #BasketballWives Season 12 premiere party with my huzband.' Renner says she's looking forward to a 'nice 90-day reset' With her 52-day marriage in the rear-view mirror, Renner says she now wants to focus on herself. 'I followed my heart,' she said in her interview with REAL 92.3 LA. 'And that's more than what most people can say in this world.' She goes on to add that she doesn't view the divorce as a bad situation and is ready to move on. 'I don't think anybody gets married to not stay married. So, I think my biggest thing for me is just a nice 90 day reset. Focusing on myself and pouring into myself,' she explained. She said 'what is meant to be is always gonna be.' The divorce comes roughly one month after Renner gushed about Gates in an interview with People. 'I'm with the person that I quite literally dreamed of,' she said in the interview, published May 5. 'And to be able to just wake up next to him and spend time with him, even to have him here behind me, it's like so surreal,' she added. 'He's just the most beautiful person inside and out that I've ever met.' At the time, Renner said that the couple weren't concerned about what the future holds. 'I think that's where people get a little lost,' she told People. 'Like, we gotta stay present and I feel like when we get too far ahead, we don't live in the now and have fun in the now and pour in each other into each other in the now,' she continued. The pair don't share any children together, but Renner does have a 4-year-old son, P.J. Washington III, with NBA player P.J. Washington.
