Ioan Gruffudd snogs pregnant Bianca at premiere of franchise he brought Alice Evans to years ago

Ioan Gruffudd and his wife Bianca Wallace packed on the PDA on the red carpet at the world premiere of The Fantastic Four: First Steps in Los Angeles on Monday night
Dad-to-be Ioan Gruffudd returned to his Fantastic Four roots on Monday night as he posed on the red carpet with his pregnant wife. The Welsh actor, who is already a father to two teenagers, and Australian actress Bianca Wallace looked happy than ever has they packed on the PDA at the world premiere of The Fantastic Four: First Steps in Los Angeles.

A previous Fantastic Four film came out in 1994, followed by a reboot in 2005 starring Ioan, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans and Michael Chiklis. They all returned in 2007 for Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer, in which they learned they were not the only superpowered beings in the universe.

During his stint as Mister Fantastic two decades ago, Ioan, 51, was in a relationship with ex-wife Alice Evans, whom he bitterly split from in January 2021. The former couple, who are still embroiled in a bitter legal battle regarding their two daughters, met while working on a movie together in 1999 and tied the knot in 2007.

Following their messy split four years ago, Ioan went on to find love again with Bianca, with the two actors tying the knot in April this year. The happy couple announced Bianca 's pregnancy in June, just weeks after becoming husband and wife.
As Bianca's due date grows closer, the mum-to-be, 32, and Ioan enjoyed a date night at Dorothy Chandler Pavilion to watch the new Fantastic Four movie. Bianca dressed her bump in a chic grey midi dress, completing her look with black sandals and a black clutch bag, while Ioan rocked a classic black suit and white shirt.

The parents-to-be shared a kiss on the red carpet as they posed for pictures, with Titanic actor Ioan tenderly placing his hand on his wife's stomach for some snaps.
Ioan and Bianca announced their baby news on social media, posting a charming black and white photo of Ioan tenderly kissing Bianca's growing baby bump on Instagram.

"Baby Gruffudd poppin' out to say hello!" read the caption. The couple's announcement was quickly inundated with congratulatory messages from friends.
The couple also announced their marriage on social media, posting a grainy video of them exchanging vows and captioning their post: "Mr and Mrs Gruffudd. Marriage now, wedding later."
In the romantic video, Ioan can be seen wiping away tears as they said 'I do' on a balcony overlooking the sea. Bride Bianca looked stunning in a plunging ivory gown, clutching a bouquet of elegant pink roses.

In another clip, Ioan and Bianca were seen celebrating with champagne and playing with their dog, who was an honoured guest at their nuptials.
Ioan moved forward with co-star Bianca following his acrimonious split from ex-wife Alice, the mother of his two daughters. A heartbroken Alice spoke openly about the separation, revealing to her followers that she was in 'excruciating pain' as she detailed the break up.
The pair first met on the set of 102 Dalmations in 1999 - at a time when Alice was dating Pablo Picasso's grandson Oliver. Alice and Ioan announced their engagement six months later and eventually exchanged vows in Mexico in 2007.

The couple were blessed with two daughters, both conceived through IVF after Alice was diagnosed with a low antral follicle count at 38. Following the birth of their first child Ella, Alice expressed: "It was as close to being in heaven as I'd ever get."
Ioan and Bianca made their relationship public in 2021 after collaborating on a new TV series. However, it took another two years for Ioan's divorce from Alice to be finalised.

During this period, he endured a contentious court battle with Alice, during which he sought a restraining order against her. The actor and his new partner Bianca alleged they had been subjected to a 'smear campaign' of malicious text messages, emails and social media posts from Alice.
Ioan also contested Alice's request for increased spousal support, asserting that he had already paid $400,000 more than necessary. In legal documents, he labelled Alice's claims of poverty as 'exaggerated', dismissing it as a 'false narrative' that she and the children have been left destitute.
In February of this year, Alice claimed she had been evicted from her Los Angeles home due to her inability to pay rent. The actress stated that she and her daughters were forced to vacate and had 'no way of renting even the cheapest room in the city.

Love Island 2025 OG Harry was left stunned when his real-world ex Emma entered the Mallorca compound, and he could be heard saying: "Oh my god, it's my ex." Yet their connection then appeared to take a turn - after Harry pulled Emma for a chat and they enjoyed some new banter about PDA, as fans claimed the brunette's "real mask had slipped." This was exacerbated when she was heard discussing the show's £50K cash prize pot on the ITV2 series. In spin off show Aftersun, host Maya Jama directly asked the TV show star why. She said: "You're one of the few Islanders who have actually mentioned the 50k." Emma replied: "We have broken the fourth wall," to which Maya said: "You did, can you clarify what you meant by that? "I think you said something after like 'ahh play along' something like that?" Emma giggled before she said: "Look I'm glad you brought that up because the whole thing was a complete joke. "Harry and I had nothing else to talk about and we are both really playful but I can confirm there was no game plan and we were just being silly. "None of it was serious." Love Island star Emma responds after Helena says she wishes she could apologise to her after brutal Harry split SPEAK OUT As well as his flirting with ex Shakira Khan and new bombshell Angel Swift, footballer Harry was previously seen telling his ex Emma that he still loves her, prior to her being dumped from the island. At the time, Emma tried telling Helena what Harry had told her but the besotted star refused to believe her. However, after seeing the clip for herself at the show's Grafties, Helena had said on Friday's episode that she wished she could apologise to her former love rival. She also raged: "I didn't expect you to be sitting with your ex-girlfriend and saying you'll get back into bed with one another on the outside. 'You just don't shut things down, you entertain everything and everyone.' Now Emma, who received a pre-villa glow up, has broken her silence and responded to Helena's comment. Taking to TikTok, the brunette beauty expressed: 'Hey guys, I'm just jumping on here to address tonight's episode where Helena said she owes me an apology. 'I just wanted to say that she absolutely doesn't, there is no need to apologise to me for how she spoke to me. We both could have handled things better and I'm no angel.' Proving there was no issue between them, she concluded: 'So no need to apologise, all good, no bad blood.' 6 The pair dated prior to finding fame on the ITV2 show Credit: Instagram 6 She told how their discussion was a 'complete joke' Credit: Shutterstock Editorial

Irvine Welsh puts in double shift on publicity round

EDINBURGH festival time and the quest for publicity is in full swing. Smart operators like Irvine Welsh know it's best to plug early and often, even if it means a Sunday morning shift. Sunday Brunch was a mix of celebrity chat, cooking, and anything else the producers could throw in the pot to fill three hours of live television, including a competition to guess the age of expired food. This was the 'zoo' format revived, with too many guests talking at once and the crew supplying chortles off. When not gabbing, the celebs stuffed their faces with whatever came out of the kitchen. Not an appetising sight at 10am. Welsh was there to flog his new book, Men in Love, and accompanying album. All was well until he referred in less than flattering terms to the vocal styles of some singers today. It was enough that the presenter, Tim Lovejoy, felt he had to apologise. Contrast this with Katie Razzall's Irvine Welsh: The Next Chapter, which has been aired on the BBC News channel and has its network debut on Monday. This was an old-school, pre-recorded sit-down, largely consisting of Razzall lining up a subject and allowing Welsh to talk at length. It didn't always work. On Scottish independence, for instance, Razzall asked if he thought 'the steam had gone out of the fight'. 'The steam's gone out of every fight now,' said Welsh. 'People are very despondent about the mainstream political institutions and their ability to change and adapt. Whether it's supporters of Scottish independence or supporters of anything, whether it's any kind of radical or revolutionary change or any kind of political change, people are just waiting for the system to fall apart rather than push it.' What did he think about the current political landscape in Scotland, or the swell in support for Reform UK? Detailed follow-ups might have produced tighter, more interesting answers. The chat occasionally wandered, at one point ending up in Alan Partridge territory. After footage of Welsh sparring, Razzall asked if boxing was useful to his writing. 'Boxing keeps me thin,' he said. 'Does that make you a good writer? 'Yeah, being thin does make you a good writer, because you have to be comfortable in a chair. If you're sitting down and you're overweight, it must be quite uncomfortable.' Was he being serious? It was hard to tell. Never mind, Razzall was on a roll. Should Trainspotting have won the Booker prize? 'Emphatically no, it would have been the kiss of death. Because I would just have been another writer, another writer who won the Booker prize. Because I became the anti-Booker prize writer, I was pushed into a different category, and it gave me a radical, anti-establishment cachet that I maybe didn't deserve even, but I'll take it anyway.' Did he still feel anti-establishment? Sir Irvine Welsh, if they came offering? 'I've no interest in that kind of thing. They've got nothing I want,' he said. Good publicity, though. Irvine Welsh: The Next Chapter, BBC2, 7pm tonight
