Major IAS reshuffle in Telangana sees Mittal out of Revenue
HYDERABAD: In a major bureaucratic reshuffle, the state government on Thursday transferred 33 IAS officers and two IFS officers. Orders to this effect were issued by Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao.
As per the orders, Navin Mittal, principal secretary, Revenue department, has been posted as principal secretary, Energy department. DS Lokesh Kumar has been given full additional charge (FAC) as secretary, Revenue department, and as chief commissioner of land administration (CCLA).
N Sridhar, principal secretary, SC Development department, has been posted as principal secretary, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development department. He will also hold the post of principal secretary, Mines & Geology department.
Shashank Goel, special chief secretary, Telangana Bhavan in Delhi, has been posted as resident commissioner, Telangana Bhavan, relieving Gaurav Uppal who has been posted as secretary to Government, Coordination (Government of India Projects), Telangana Bhavan, Delhi.
Harichandana appointed Hyderabad Collector
Harichandana Dasari, Special Secretary, Roads & Buildings (R & B) department, has been posted as Collector, Hyderabad, replacing Anudeep Durishetty, who has been appointed Collector, Khammam.
Jyoti Buddha Prakash, Secretary, Registration & Stamps and Housing Department, has been posted as Secretary, SC Development department. He is also given FAC as Secretary, Planning department, and Director General, Telangana Remote Sensing Applications Centre (TGRAC). Rajeev Gandhi Hanumanthu, Collector, Nizamabad, has been posted as Special Secretary, Registration & Stamps, Revenue department. He is also given FAC as Commissioner & Inspector General (IG), Registration & Stamps; Commissioner, Survey Settlements & Land Records (SS & LA); and Project Director, Bhu Bharathi.

Union AYUSH Minister Pratap Rao Jadhav confirmed that the planned yoga programme will last 45 minutes, concluding with a speech from the Prime Minister. Bangladesh says attacks on Tagore's property an 'altercation between two visitors and caretaker'
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh stated that the attacks on Rabindra Kachari Bari were a result of altercation between two visitors and the caretaker of the property. The statement added that two arrests have been made pertaining to the incident. "Attention of the Government of Bangladesh has been drawn to a reported incident in the government-owned property related to the revered Bengali Nobel laureate, poet Rabindranath Tagore , in the district of Sirajganj in Bangladesh. The incident centered around an altercation between two visitors and the Caretaker of the property a few days back which is managed by the Department of Archaeology of the Government," as per the statement. "Following the incident, a criminal case had already been filed with the local Police on 10th June. Two persons had also been arrested in this connection. A local inquiry board has also been formed by the District administration. Appropriate legal actions are being taken by the local administration," the statement read. The statement further said that in Bangladesh, there is no scope for any divisive attempt to fuel controversy on the attacks' incident. Live Events "The people and the Government of Bangladesh hold Poet Rabindranath Tagore in the highest of esteem and his contribution to our language, literature and culture is deeply revered. The Government and the people of Bangladesh would continue to cherish his contributions and would like to reiterate that in the Bangladesh national and cultural space there is no scope for any divisive and motivated attempt to foment controversy on the subject," as per the statement. Two investigation committees were formed to investigate the incident, the Bangladesh Cultural Ministry said in a statement on Friday. "On June 8, a fight and assault occurred between an employee on duty at Shahjadpur Rabindra Kacharibari and a visitor due to a misunderstanding and argument over a parking ticket", it said. "Rabindra Kachari Bari, Shahjadpur, Sirajgonj is a protected monument by the Bangladesh government. Every year, thousands of visitors from home and abroad come to visit the place associated with the poet's memory", the statement said.

Revanth to interact with farmers as part of ‘Rythu Nestam' on June 16
Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy is set to engage directly with farmers as part of the 'Rythu Nestam' programme on June 16. Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao held a teleconference with district collectors to review arrangements for the 'Rythu Nestham' programme, which will take place at the Agricultural University on June 16. The Chief Secretary informed collectors that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy's interaction with farmers would be telecast across all 'Rythu Nestham' centres. He instructed collectors to organise the event appropriately, inviting public representatives and ensuring a minimum attendance of 250 farmers from each area. The Chief Secretary highlighted that this programme aims to connect farmers with agricultural experts via video conferencing. The video conferencing facility, previously available in 500 centres, has been expanded and will now be accessible in an additional 1,000 centres from June 16. Through this facility, experts will offer timely suggestions to farmers on suitable crops to cultivate and advanced farming techniques. Secretary for Agriculture, Raghunandan Rao, requested collectors to depute mandal level officers to all 'Rythu Nestham' centres, alongside the concerned Agriculture Extension Officer for each cluster. He emphasised that the entire programme should be conducted in a festive atmosphere. Earlier in the day, the Chief Secretary also held a teleconference with the DGP and other senior officials to assess the arrangements for the Telangana Gaddar Film Awards function, scheduled for June 14 at the HICC. During the teleconference, Special Commissioner for Information and Public Relations, Dr Harish, briefed that all arrangements were complete for conducting the programme on a grand scale. He confirmed that all departments are working in close coordination to ensure the smooth execution of the event.
