EXCLUSIVE Selling Sunset star Amanza Smith reveals how the Netflix cast really feel about boss Jason Oppenheim's string of younger women
The real estate agent told MailOnline that she and her co-stars, which include fellow Oppenheim employees Chrishell Stause, Mary Fitzgerald, and Nicole Young, bear no judgment towards Jason, 48, whom they have all previously dated.
In an exclusive interview, Amanza teased the new season of Selling Sunset, based on the behind-the-scenes drama at LA brokerage The Oppenheim Group, will be even more explosive than the latest instalment – and she doesn't shy away from the action.
Since the end of series eight, which featured storylines like the breakdown of Chelsea Lazkani 's marriage, Jason has entered a new relationship with model Jessica Vargas, who's also hired at the real estate agency.
The multimillionaire split from 27-year-old model Marie-Lou Nurk in 2023 and has since had flings with the likes of TikToker Danika Tanya and pro tennis player Genie Bouchard, 31.
But Amanza insists that the stars of Selling Sunset support Jason's active dating life and says the property tycoon has 'earned' his right to romance whoever he chooses.
She said: 'Jason is doing amazing and has earned his right to date whoever he wants. He's the hardest working man that I know and a total charmer.
'Look, I dated Jason, that came out in the reunion, everybody's dated Jason. He's a really great guy.
'He has a new girlfriend now called Jessica and we all absolutely adore her. She is beautiful and really intelligent and a great human.
'He's particular, he always has beautiful young girlfriends, but they're not dummies, he's got a really good sense of taste for the women that he dates. We just cheer him on. Good for him.'
The mother-of-two, 48, added that the cast would be hypocritical if they judged Jason for dating younger women when Chrishell is married to Australian singer G Flip, 31, who is 12 years her junior.
She added: 'Nobody is telling anybody else in the office or watching the age of who someone else is dating. Chrishell's partner is a lot younger than she is, and everybody is cool with that.'
The new series of Selling Sunset, which is set for release later this year, will see the return of Bre Tiesi, who shares two-year-old son Legendary with Nick Cannon.
Last season, Bre broke the news that she suspected Chelsea's ex-Jeff Lazkani, with whom she shares two children, had been cheating on her, after being told vital information by a friend.
Chelsea, who previously clashed with Bre over her being in an open relationship with Nick, known for having 12 children with six different women, has since divorced her husband and her life as a single woman will be revealed on the programme.
But Amanza has teased that the upcoming episodes will expose a brand-new feud between Chelsea and Mary.
She said: 'Last season was Chelsea's divorce, which was a big one.
'This series I am not directly involved in so much of it, even more so than usual I have really stayed clear.
'But there is just as much drama, I don't feel it as much as Mary, who I know is really going through it, she and Chelsea have some beef, Bre with everyone, Nicole with the girls, it's just a lot of the same and then a little bit more...'
And Amanza is nervously anticipating the reveal of an explosive scene between her and an unnamed co-star after she admitted to being 'triggered' and losing her 's***' during filming.
She said: 'I won't say exactly what happens or with who, but I get really passionate and speak very clearly about something that was said by one of the girls.
'It's a very passionate scene and I was triggered by a moment I didn't agree with, and I let them have it, which is something you don't see a lot.
'I lost my s*** and everyone saw me lose my s***. I don't know how they're going to edit it, if it comes across like I lose my s*** or if I'm just passionate. I don't know what it's going to look like but in the moment, I was very heated, and it was a big deal.'
Feuds on the show have almost led fan favourite Chrishell to quit after the animosity between her and rival Nicole reached an all-time high.
Revealing that she was paid more money to stay, the former soap actress confirmed she will be back for series nine, which Amanza says is a relief because Selling Sunset wouldn't be the same without her.
Amanza said: 'I would hope that nobody in the cast ever steps back completely because it takes all of us to make the show what it is.
'We need everyone as much as a headache that it can be, it's a team and everybody has their different fans and sides they pull from.
'Personally, I love Chrishell. She and I did have our little fallout a couple of seasons ago but we're back and we're as close as ever and I adore her.
'I would hope that she would never step away from the show completely. But who knows, everybody's lives are going in their own direction and maybe she will, but I truly hope not. There's no Selling Sunset without each of the OGs and Chrishell is one of those.'
Amanza, whose new career as a contemporary artist has grown out of her flair for property and interior design, says painting is the only way she can relax after filming intense scenes on the show.
The TV personality, who is a single mother after obtaining full custody of her two children Braker and Noah, 'almost died' in 2023 following her diagnosis with a life-threatening bone infection.
After undergoing two spinal surgeries and spending a month in hospital, Amanza says the post-traumatic stress still impacts her daily life.
But the star's creativity has given her an outlet to overcome her anxiety, which she says on her worst days caused panic attacks and stopped her from being able to leave the house.
She said: 'It was a scary time, I almost died. It was pretty traumatic.
'It took me six months to realise exactly what had happened and how severe everything was I went through but that's all in the past and I'm really grateful I didn't die and to have all these opportunities.
'I have a really busy mind, and I have ADHD and anxiety, sometimes it is debilitating.
'There have been days on set where I've had so much anxiety around what's been going on and I really have had a hard time with it.
'I've had panic attacks to the point where I couldn't leave my house. It has gotten worse since I got out of the hospital, I don't know if it has anything to do with everything that's happened but the trauma that my body went through, it's got increasingly worse.
'There have been times when I have been due at a red-carpet event, and I just went into my studio to paint for five minutes to chill myself out dressed in an evening gown, but I had to do that.'
On Thursday evening, Amanza celebrated the launch of her first European solo exhibition, 404 Humanity Not Found, at London's Grove Gallery.
She began painting as a therapeutic exercise but after a client purchased one of her artworks for thousands of dollars, Amanza turned her 'medicine' into a collection of extraordinary pieces.
Amanza explained: 'I have thousands of thoughts running through my head whether that's what I have to do for the day or the week or the month, for myself, the kids, where I am supposed to be, my brain is always constantly busy but when I paint it's like meditation, it's like medicine to me and it's the only thing that calms my brain.
'When you look at my paintings, they're really busy and I think it's just what's inside my head coming out on canvas, which is a little bit scary but it's very therapeutic.
'I wasn't able to really start on this collection until we finished season nine of Selling Sunset because it was too hard to snap out of that mode.
'I have always been creative and enjoyed design and aesthetic, but I never dreamed of being a professional or a contemporary fine artist.
'It fell onto my lap after I got out of the hospital. I was painting therapeutically and a woman reached out and she asked me to be a part of her gallery exhibit and after that it blew up.
'I had one exhibit and sold my first painting for a large amount of money and its one of those dreams I never knew was a dream until it started happening. Now it makes so much sense.'
Amanza, who also launches her collection of paintings at Grove Gallery Palma in Mallorca next week, hopes to be successful in Europe so she can move to the UK on a semi-permanent basis.
And a potential move to London isn't because she loves the grey weather, but Amanza admits she finds British men, who regularly appear on her Raya dating profile, attractive.
She said: 'I am pretty single right now. I am open to meeting somebody. I have been single for a minute. When I got out of the hospital I was dating somebody but that was a short-lived thing. I was highly medicated, and I don't know what happened there, I made a decision which wasn't so wise.
'I have been focused on my artwork because it's a new career. My plan is to sell so many paintings in the UK that they want me here every three months and I could just be international.
'I do like British guys. On my Raya profile it's always British guys or someone from Spain or Italy, just somewhere else not Los Angeles. Maybe I will meet someone while I'm in London or they will come to my exhibition.'

Rachel Frederickson's shock 155lb weight loss on The Biggest Loser is revisited in new Netflix series
Rachel Frederickson astounded television audiences when she won The Biggest Loser competition in 2014. The contestant had gone from 260lbs to a very slim 105lbs - that is an amazing 155lb weight loss. Now the show is being revisited in season one of the Netflix series Fit for TV: The Reality of The Biggest Loser which kicked off on August 15. It is a three-part documentary that is taking a closer look at how the series worked. Part of the series has focused on Frederickson's shocking weight loss. Fans went wild over her 'after' image because they thought she was 'underweight.' The Netflix show also explored how trainers Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels were put off by the drastic weight loss. 'Rachel came out, and she had lost so much weight, it was … shocking,' Harper said. 'Jillian and I were just in horror.' The television show, which ran from 2004-2016 on NBC, and had a one year reboot in 2020, came under fire for what some consider extreme methods used to help contestants shed weight. It was claimed that some behind-the-scenes people wanted contestants to consume only 800 calories a day while working out eight hours a day. Turns out Frederickson - who was a favorite on the series - is doing very well these days. She's currently a customer insights and analytics manager for Land O'Lakes. Before the gig, she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Materials and Supply Chain Management from the University of Minnesota in 2020. Frederickson, 35, qualified for The Biggest Loser by tipping the scales at 260 lbs., but was soon showing a loss at each weekly weigh in. The former high school swimming champ shared in a 2014 Today essay after her victory that she had gained the weight after falling in love and moving to Germany with a foreign exchange student. 'Fast forward to a lonely, overweight girl,' Frederickson, who was working as a voice actor at the time wrote. The competition show has since come under controversy for what some consider extreme methods to help the contestants lose weight Frederickson said she lost the weight by sticking to a strict 1600 calorie diet 'I spent most days alone working from my home vocal studio. A job I loved, but loneliness I hated. I made a decision to start fighting for myself again.' Frederickson has shared she lost 155 pounds, 56-percent of her body weight, by following a strict 1600 calorie a day diet. Attending three to four exercise classes a day, including Zumba and spin, helped her win the $250,000 prize Frederickson told People at the time. Frederickson's big reveal created a lot of online controversy, with many viewers commenting she had become too thin. In an appearance on Thomas DeLauer's podcast in 2024, former The Biggest Loser trainer Jillian Michaels spoke out about her decision to leave the show. 'She was unhealthily thin, to say the least,' Michaels said. 'When Rachel Frederickson walked down that stage looking dangerously unhealthy, I quit permanently.' In her post-win essay for Today, Frederickson had a different take. 'When I stood on stage at the live finale, I had never felt stronger,' she explained. 'I had accomplished everything I wanted to do. I was extremely proud of myself.' However, those feelings soon disappeared due to the comments over her weight loss controversy. 'People tried to bring me down and (privately) succeeded,' she said. Comments that she had lost too much weight hurt her. 'People tried to bring me down and (privately) succeeded,' she said, adding, 'I found strength in this struggle and I am listening to my own voice again!'; Pictured in 2014 Frederickson concluded her 2014 essay with, 'There will always be other voices in life. The trouble comes when you stop listening to your own... I found strength in this struggle and I am listening to my own voice again!' In 2016 and 2017, The New York Times ran several articles reporting on how difficult it was for The Biggest Loser contestants to maintain their weigh loss after returning to their regular lives. According to Dr. Kevin Hall, who was a metabolism at the National Institute for Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases at the time, studied the after effects, and found the body's metabolism slows down a lot during weight loss as it fights to maintain the status quo. 'It is frightening and amazing,' he told the publication. 'I am just blown away.' In a paper published in 2017, Hall found that following a diet and 80 minutes a day of moderate exercise such as walking or 35 minutes of vigorous exercise such as running would keep the weight from creeping back on. It is unclear if Frederickson has maintained her weight loss. She is not on social media and her LinkedIn profile does not include a photo of herself. The voice actor left the business and started a T-shirt business in 2015, and went on to get a degree in logistics, materials and supply chain management from the University of Minnesota in 2020.

Love Is Blind UK: Where Are Ashleigh And Billy Now?
Cupid's arrow struck fast with Love Is Blind UK's season two contestants Ashleigh Berry and Billy Jervis Jr, as the pair found an instant connection on the dating show. With their shared military background, they hit it off immediately once they met. Ashleigh – whose nickname is 'Combat Barbie' – is a former Army Cadet, while former Army veteran Billy now works as an instructor in the Royal Army Physical Training Corps. It came as no surprise then that by the end of the second episode, they became the first couple to get engaged. As of the end of the first four episodes, Ashleigh and Billy are still together. We're hoping that their relationship will continue to grow stronger and that they will walk up the aisle, given that their path to true love seems to have been smooth so far. But as we know with past series, anything can happen. Their social media profiles doesn't give anything away to avoid spoilers, so while Ashleigh and Billy don't currently engage with each other online, that's not always an indicator of their relationship status so we'll have to keep an eye out as the series unfolds. Ashleigh Berry in Love Is Blind ©Netflix Their Army involvement brought Ashleigh, 30, and Billy, 35, together from the beginning and gave them that immediate spark and connection, which only grew stronger the more they spoke in the Pods. Straight off, they opened up to each other, showing their vulnerable sides: Ashleigh revealed she hasn't dated in over four years after her previous relationship 'knocked who she was', while Billy spoke about his divorce five years ago and is looking to find his forever person. Despite their strong foundation, a hiccup in their early relationship came when Billy expressed his doubts about her career as a cabin crew manager, as her job required her to be away from home for long periods. He admitted his fears stem from his previous marriage with a flight attendant, which ended because they lived separate lives due to their conflicting work schedules. Ashleigh reassured him by saying she is open to switching to a more traditional 9-to-5 job if and when they have a family, which is enough to assuage him. As their relationship grew, Ashleigh gives Billy a thimble, a souvenir she collects from every travel destination, and is meant as a symbol of the adventure they're embarking on together. He is so moved by the gift that he tells her he loves her – the first time he has said those words since he was married. She reciprocates the phrase, and they become the first couple to get engaged in this series. Billy Jervis Jr in Love Is Blind ©Netflix Their connection only grows stronger when they meet in person. With a clear attraction to each other, they twirled each other around at the in-person reveal as they take in their match for the first time. Billy called his new fiancee a 'knock-out' and she's full of admiration for his abs and legs. After sharing their first kiss, Ashleigh revealed, 'Billy's a good kisser', as she jumped on the sofa like a giddy teenager. Their loved-up bliss continued when they went to Cyprus for the week-long post-pod retreat, where they explored their real-life chemistry and deepened their emotional connection. 'You're my type every day of the week and twice on Sundays,' Billy told Ashleigh. Clearly very happy with each other's physical selves, they can't keep their hands off each other and compliment each other's physiques throughout the trip. Life seems to be going well for the couple, even when they meet up with the other couples, with no signs of jealousy or red flags. Ashleigh Berry and Billy Jervis Jr on Love Is Blind ©Netflix Shereen Low is a senior news and entertainment writer for Grazia UK, who enjoys watching everything from Love Island and Race Across The World to real-life crime shows and thrillers.

From Power Struggles To Philanthropy: Meet The Real Guinness Family
If you're missing the Succession shaped hole in your TV viewing schedule, then Netflix's upcoming drama The House of Guinness is sure to be a huge hit with you. The drama will tell the story of the Guinness family, the Dublin lineage behind the infamous drink we know so well. The brand was founded by Arthur Guinness in 1759, with the company's chairman position being passed through the family. The Netflix show, from Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight, will focus on the power struggle that unfolded after the death of Benjamin Guinness in 1868 - leaving his four young children to navigate the business. 'The Guinness dynasty is known the world over – wealth, poverty, power, influence, and great tragedy are all intertwined to create a rich tapestry of material to draw from,' Knight told Netflix. 'I've always been fascinated by their stories and am excited to bring the characters to life for the world to see.' Here's what we know about the real family behind the drama. Benjamin Lee Guinness was the grandfather of Guinness founder Arthur, and is often credited with increasing the success of the brand. In the show, he is portrayed as the patriarch of the family, whose death paves the way for drama to unfold. 'House of Guinness is the extraordinary story of a family who happens to be the inheritors of the biggest brewery in the world,' says Knight. 'They're young and are given the task of taking on this incredibly successful brand. The first priority is: Don't screw it up. And the second priority is to make Guinness even bigger.' Like his father, Edward has a fascinating true story. He was the second oldest son of the four, and is portrayed in the Netflix series by Louis Partridge. When his father died in 1868, he took over the company, and bought out his brother's half-share in 1876. When he was just 29, he gained full ownership of the Guinness company. From there, Edward rapidly expanded the business, and its value. By 1886, the company was brewing 907,000 hogheads across the globe. When he floated two-thirds of the company in 1886 for £6 million, he became the richest man in Ireland and retired as a multi-millionaire age 40. He married Lady Adelaide Maria Guinness, his first cousin, in 1873. Arthur Guinness, the eldest son of the four, went down a different route to his brother, being voted in as a Conservative MP for Dublin in 1868. However, the election was then declared void due to his agent's misconduct, leading to his resignation. In 1876, he made the crucial decision to withdraw from the family brewery enterprise, leaving his brother Edward to expand it. He followed his father in becoming a landlord, and owned several estates in Galway. Arthur, who is played by Anthony Boyle in the show, was also deeply philanthropic, contributing to cultural and healthcare institutions in Dublin, including the restoration of Marsh's Library and expansion of the Coombe Women's Hospital. He married Olivia Hedges-White in 1871. Knight told Netflix that Arthur and Edward are the 'heart' of the House of Guinness. 'I won't give away the plot — but they were given joint stewardship of the brewery for very interesting reasons,' he said. 'Before he died, their father very deliberately chained Arthur and Edward together in responsibility for the brewery. You'll find out why when you watch.' Anne Guinness, played by Emily Fairn in the Netflix show, was Benjamin's only daughter. Like Arthur, she became well known for her philanthropy and charitable work, especially with the poor and sick. In 1876, she founded St. Patrick's Nursing Home in Dublin, and together with her husband, William Conyngham Plunket, she also played a major role in setting up educational institutions such as the Irish Clergy Daughters' School. She had six children with her husband, two sons and four daughters.
