Sydney Sweeney confirms relationship status in new interview
Sydney Sweeney has spoken publicly for the first time about her breakup with fiancé Jonathan Davino, confirming in a new interview that she's now single.
In her interview with The Times, Sweeney confirmed she and Davino had ended their engagement three years after getting engaged.
When asked if she was planning a wedding, Sweeney replied, 'No.' When asked if she is single, she said, 'Yes.'
She added, 'I'm learning a lot about myself, spending more time with my friends. And I'm loving it.'
Sweeney and Davino first sparked dating rumors back in 2018 and got engaged in February 2022.
A source previously told People Magazine that their relationship had been 'rocky for a long time' and that Sweeney has been focusing on her career since the split.
'She's exactly where she wants to be. Most people would feel overwhelmed by her working schedule this year, but not Syd. She's all about working right now and very excited about all her projects,' the source said.

'What did make her overwhelmed, though, was her relationship and her wedding. She didn't feel right about it.'
Sweeney is currently busy with a new season of Euphoria, as well as several film projects, including an adaptation of The Housemaid and roles as Christy Martin and Kim Novak.
According to the source, Sweeney 'is in the middle of this magical career that she could only dream of a few years ago. This is what she wants to focus on right now.'
They added, 'She's not ready to settle down. They only lasted for this long because it was hard for her to break it off. They didn't split because there is no love. They split because she just wants to focus on her career right now.'
Despite the breakup, Sweeney and Davino, a Chicago businessman, have been seen together in public. A source told People, 'This wasn't just a relationship. This was two people living together and planning a future. They still have things to figure out.'
Throughout their relationship, Sweeney kept many details private. 'Everyone is always so curious about who I'm with and what's that like, but I think it's important to have something for me,' she told Glamour UK in December 2023. 'I'm very open (otherwise). I talk about so much and sometimes it gets me in trouble, but I do try to keep something for me.'

Since the split, Sweeney has been the subject of intense dating rumors, especially with her Anyone But You co-star Glen Powell.
Their undeniable chemistry during the film's press tour led fans to speculate about a possible romance, though both have insisted they are just friends.

Sweeney also explained her approach to dating in a 2022 Cosmopolitan cover story, saying, 'I don't date people in the spotlight. I don't date actors or musicians or anyone in entertainment because I can just be normal Syd that way and it's easiest. I have a great support system. I have people who will battle for me and allow me to be on the pedestal and shine without making me feel like, 'Oh no, I'm shining too bright and I need to step back.' I look for a best friend. I need to be able to be with someone who I can literally hang out with 24/7 and never get sick of and we laugh every single day.'

Celeb couple split after eight years together
Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin have reportedly broken up for good. 'It feels final this time,' a source told People Wednesday. The actor, 35, and the musician, 48 — who were first linked romantically in October 2017 — were last photographed together in Malibu, where they share a home, in mid-May. Prior to that, they were snapped holding hands in India in January. Reps for Johnson and Martin did not immediately respond to Page Six's requests for comment. However, Johnson hinted at the reported break-up in an interview with the Los Angeles Times published this week. Asked what made the role 'feel different for her,' Johnson replied, 'The complexities of all of the characters. The paradox. Everyone being confused about what the f**k they're supposed to do with their hearts and what's the right move. I found that very honest, and I found it just so relatable.' She continued, 'For a long time, we've all been so quick to judge relationships or how they should happen, how they should exist in the world, when people should get married, divorce is bad. All these things that actually, if you think about it, why is divorce bad? Why do people have to get married or at a certain age or only once? Why? It doesn't matter.' In June 2019, Johnson and Martin were reported to have split only briefly, as they sparked engagement rumours the following December. Then in March 2024, an insider told Page Six that the pair had actually been engaged for six years, with another source telling People that they were 'in no rush to get married.' That August, split speculation began to swirl again, prompting Johnson's rep to quiet the rumours by insisting to us that the duo was 'happily together.' The 50 Shades of Grey star then took matters into her own hands by flashing her emerald engagement ring at paparazzi. Simultaneously, a source admitted to People that Johnson and the Coldplay frontman have 'had issues and taken breaks in the past,' as they 'both love their careers' and 'are balancing things the best they can.'

Ashley Tisdale reveals her long running Phineas and Ferb behind the scenes rule
Ashley Tisdale refuses to do more than "two-hour sessions" for 'Phineas and Ferb'. The 39-year-old actress - who has voiced Phineas' sister Candance since the pilot episode in 2007 - is back for the beloved animated comedy show's revival a decade after the 'Last Day of Summer' finale aired, and she has reflected on the challenges of recording the voiceovers. She told PEOPLE magazine: "That's always been kind of more of my challenge with Candace, is when she starts to kind of build into that episode and she's really high-strung, and it takes a lot out of me. "So, I only do two-hour sessions. But I've been doing only two-hour sessions from the very beginning. "I recognised very soon into Candace that I was like, 'Oh, I cannot do three hours or four hours.' It's a lot!" Ashley - who admitted as she's "gotten older, it's like a workout" - insisted it doesn't feel like 'Phineas and Ferb' has really been away for the last decade. She explained: "I feel like it never ended because we kept on doing 'Candace Against the Universe' [for Disney+ in 2020] and little things here and there. "So, I guess I was sad when we were done with the show, but I never expected to come back, and it's pretty awesome. "I love it. We have so much fun doing it." Meanwhile, Ashley recently admitted she hopes her daughter Jupiter, four, takes inspiration from her 'High School Musical' character Sharpay Evans. The actress - who also has Emerson, eight months, with her husband Christopher French - told People: "I just think that Sharpay is someone who knows what she wants and I think that's always been really exciting. "I love playing a character like that because I've always known what I wanted. So I feel like that is something to look up to." Ashley loves that her daughter has already developed a passion for movies. The actress shared: "I never thought I'd see the day. But, you know, she's obsessed with tons of movies. This is not the first one she's obsessed with." Ashley revealed that Jupiter is a big fan of the 'Wicked' and 'Tarzan' movies. She said: "She was Glinda from 'Wicked' for the longest time. So she does love the pink, but she also loves 'Tarzan'. So I don't know. It changes."

Simon Cowell wants son to take over America's Got Talent
Simon Cowell's "dream" is for his 11-year-old son to take over 'America's Got Talent'. The 65-year-old star - who has Eric with partner Lauren Silverman - is celebrating 20 years since the reality show began and not only can he see it running for at least another two decades, he hopes to keep the programme in the family and have his only child take his executive producer title one day. He told People magazine: "I'm now looking at the next 20 years of this show - where does it go next?" "And because it's so open to anyone, I really do have this feeling that whether it's me or whether it's Eric, my son, you're going to be having a conversation with us in 20 years time saying, 'Well, how was the 40th anniversary?' Because I can't imagine this show not being on now." Simon admitted he has already "hinted" to Eric that he'd like him to follow in his footsteps. Asked if he has spoken to Eric about working on 'America's Got Talent' in the future, he said: "I haven't really had that conversation. I've hinted at it. "Fortunately like me, he loves these kinds of shows, which is a good start. I think he'd actually be a really good producer." Simon is also a judge on the show but he isn't convinced Eric would be as keen to take that role too. He said: "I don't think he'd be comfortable on camera, but that could change. I don't know. "But if he wanted to, I would definitely encourage him to produce. "I would love that. I mean, that would be my dream." Despite thinking ahead to his successor, Simon has no plans to depart 'AGT' any time soon because he's still really excited by the quality of the contestants. He said: "[The] level of talent generally has just got better from when we first started to now. "If I didn't feel that was the case, then I would just say, 'Well then, that's it. We've had a great time and thank you very much.' "But you always go after you finish a season, 'Now I can't wait to see who's going to come on [next] season' ... that's my motivation still, and I'm still really, really enjoying it." Simon also reflected on how "empty" his life would feel if he didn't have his son - and admitted fatherhood has had a positive impact on his work too. He explained: "You realise that there are other things more important actually than your career. I know it sounds corny, but I mean, it is the truth. "If I wasn't where I am in my life today, I think it would feel quite empty. "I guess I wouldn't be complaining, but I wouldn't be the same. I've definitely, definitely changed since I became a dad. I mean, big time. "[Being a judge on 'America's Got Talent'] got easier since I became a dad, because as Eric got a little bit older ... I suddenly started to watch acts through his eyes thinking, 'Would he like that?' Because you want your kids and their friends to love the show. "So when he comes down with his friends, they're having the best time, and that's a great feeling."
