This is heartbreaking news for Moore, who had been having a great camp, according to reports. The receiver was engaged in preseason action against the Houston Texans on Saturday when he was tackled by Texans linebacker Jamal Hill.
Moore had been pulled awkwardly over his left leg, leading to the injury. He was visibly upset as a cart came to take him to the locker room.

Will Buxton Has a Bold Answer On Alex Palou's F1 Title Chances
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Commentator and former F1 TV host Will Buxton gave his take on IndyCar Champion Alex Palou's chances in Formula 1. Buxton is a long-time F1 paddock member who started as a reporter and eventually became a TV presenter for the sport's digital streaming platform. He featured prominently on Netflix's Drive to Survive (DTS), playing a key role in the show becoming so popular and the sport growing stateside. On DTS, he narrated the dramatic elements of the sport and gave context to specific events, helping new fans learn about the racing series. More Photo byBefore the start of the 2025 F1 season, Buxton announced his departure from the broadcast team and revealed his new role at Fox with IndyCar. He is the lead play-by-play voice for the American racing series - this season, he has observed the greatness of the driver for Chip Ganassi Racing, Alex Palou. The Spanish sensation secured his fourth IndyCar championship, cementing his status as one of the most dominant racers in the competition's history. On Sunday, after Palou captured another title, Buxton was asked the following question on X by another user: "How does an Indy car driver compare to an F1 driver on a skill level? I suppose it's a hard question to answer but why wouldn't Palou pursue that path on his current trajectory? I'm just trying to understand if F1 is completely out of reach for him and what pushes a driver one way or the other," the person asked. As an expert in both racing series, Buxton is especially able to dissect Palou's chances in F1, and he responded with his take: "Palou is, hands down, one of the best open-wheel drivers in the world right now. Could he win in F1? Absolutely. With the right car. Would he get the right car though? Unless it's a top 4 team in F1, why walk away from making history in a championship he loves?," Buxton wrote in a post. Palou had signed a deal to drive with McLaren's IndyCar team, though he ended up staying with Chip Ganassi instead after winning the 2023 title. The driver claimed that McLaren promised him an F1 drive, but after the team signed Oscar Piastri, he lost confidence in landing a seat on the grid. Piastri was younger than Palou and, with Lando Norris cemented as the team's lead driver — he gave up on his F1 dream and stayed in IndyCar. Since then, he has dominated in America, though Buxton believes there is an alternative universe where Palou is fighting for a F1 title right now. "I think Palou reneged on McLaren precisely because the F1 road was closed off as soon as they signed Piastri," he wrote. "But yeah. Had Alpine been better at writing contracts, every chance Palou is leading the F1 championship and Piastri is still at Enstone." Falcons QB Michael Penix Jr. in practice melee with Titans: ‘Went a little bit too far'
Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr. was involved in a brawl with the Titans during a joint practice on Wednesday. The second-year signal-caller had just unloaded a deep touchdown pass to wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud III when a scrum broke out and players from both sidelines joined the melee. 'They had a lot of words throughout practice, so I gave my words and went a little bit too far. I don't know. [But] that was somebody else.' Penix said after practice, according to Sports Illustrated. Penix emerged from the skirmish uninjured, although his teammates had to come to his aid, per ESPN. 'I don't know where I was at in it,' Penix said, according to the outlet. 'It was a lot of people. I knew I was down there somewhere. I wasn't the only one, though. 'I'm glad they did, because obviously that's not something that we want to be doing in practice,' Penix continued. 'We want to get all reps in, get that good work in. But it went how it went. But to see the team have my back and they were there, make sure they protect me. A lot of guys asked me if I was good, and it was good to know that those guys had my back.' Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr. (9) runs drills during an NFL joint football practice with the Tennessee Titans on Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2025, in Flowery Branch, Ga. AP Falcons quarterback coach DJ Williams told ESPN the team would rather not have its QB1 getting into fights on the field, but took 'some positive out of it.' 'Like you saw the guys take up for him, and I think that speaks to his leadership and who he is in that locker room,' Williams said. 'Obviously as coaches we're upstairs, they're downstairs. We don't really see a lot, but obviously he has a relationship and the trust of the guys because everybody ran to his defense. So, I think that's a good thing for the Falcons.' 'That's what it's about, you know, protecting your brothers. That I grew up on,' Penix said. 'We've got each other's backs to ride with each other, right or wrong.'

Browns' Shedeur Sanders Receives Strong Words From Colorado Teammate
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. The Cleveland Browns have a lot of buzz surrounding their four-man quarterback competition. Most of that buzz has had to do with rookie quarterback and former Colorado Buffaloes star Shedeur Sanders. Sanders received the start in the team's preseason opener. He played very well and has caused even more of a stir in the competition. Unfortunately, on Wednesday morning, Sanders suffered an oblique injury. There haven't been many updates about how severe the injury is or how much time he could miss, but it's a major concern nonetheless. Not only did he play well in his first preseason game, he has handled himself very well as a rookie quarterback. Read more: Bears Announce Major Caleb Williams News Coming into the NFL, there were a lot of negative storylines surrounding Sanders. However, one of his former teammates has come out and strongly defended the young signal caller. LaJohntay Wester, who is currently with the Baltimore Ravens, played with Sanders at Colorado. He spoke out with some very strong words about his former quarterback. "He's very misunderstood," Wester said. "I just want everyone to know he's one of the hardest-working people that I know. Funny guy. Great leader. He's the type of player that could change an organization, on and off the field. He does a lot of charity stuff in the community and he works hard. He brings everybody together." Needless to say, that is a very different look when it comes to Sanders than what a lot of the media portrayed. Sanders was viewed as an arrogant player who could be a problem as an NFL starter. During his NFL debut against the Carolina Panthers last week, Sanders completed 14 of his 23 pass attempts for 138 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions. He also ran for 19 yards on four attempts. It's a side that a lot of Cleveland fans are already seeing. While some want to throw negative comments out about Sanders, what he has shown with the Browns has been good. He has been a hard worker, a learning sponge, a great teammate, and was very productive on the field in game action.
