His timing on quick throws and ability to sustain drives were highlights, especially during a two-minute drill that ended with a field goal.
However, one glaring mistake dominated the broadcast discussion. In the first half, Gabriel forced a throw into heavy coverage near the sideline, resulting in a pick-six for Philadelphia. It was his only passing touchdown of the night—unfortunately, for the other team. Gabriel also mishandled a fumble exchange with running back Pierre Strong, adding to the turnovers that blemished an otherwise efficient debut.

Despite the miscues, Gabriel orchestrated multiple scoring drives, including one capped off by a rushing touchdown from Ahmani Marshall. He absorbed two sacks, one of which left him with no chance as free rushers swarmed the backfield, but he displayed composure under pressure, a promising sign for a rookie quarterback adjusting to NFL speed.
