Hannah Hidalgo had a nice stat line for Team USA versus Chile in the 2025 FIBA Women's AmeriCup.
The Notre Dame guard had 14 points, three rebounds, four assists and three steals against the host country.
Team USA rolled Chile 108-47 to open play.
Hidalgo is one 12 players on the roster, along with former Fighting Irish teammate Olivia Miles, who has transferred to Texas Christian.
Team USA is seeking its first AmeriCup title since 2021. It lost to Brazil in the 2023 final.
If Hidalgo continues to put up numbers like that, the chances of another American title are bright.

FIFA Club World Cup: PSG kick Inter Miami out with a massive 4-0 victory

PSG have knocked out Inter Miami from the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 after defeating them 4-0 last night. By Ravi Kumar Jha Published on June 30, 2025, 08:20 IST PSG have knocked out Inter Miami from the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 after defeating them 4-0 last night. It was a game where it was all PSG over the field. Inter Miami couldn't match up the speed of PSG, and thus, had to taste this defeat. Lionel Messi of Inter Miami couldn't show his magic in the game against his former side. The European Champions PSG are now into the quarter-finals of the competition. Paris Saint-Germain delivered a commanding performance to knock Inter Miami out of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 with a resounding 4-0 victory last night. The European champions completely dominated the match, outclassing their American opponents in every department. From the first whistle, it was all PSG on the pitch. Their pace, precision, and pressing left Inter Miami chasing shadows throughout the 90 minutes. Goals came at regular intervals as the French side made light work of the MLS outfit, who struggled to keep up with the tempo. All the goals scored in this game, came in the first half only. Lionel Messi, facing his former club, failed to make an impact in what was expected to be a high-profile showdown. The Argentine icon was tightly marked and rarely found space to weave his trademark magic. With this emphatic win, PSG march into the quarter-finals of the competition, looking every bit like the contenders for the Club World Cup crown. Kamilla Cardoso Leaves Chicago Sky in Disbelief

Kamilla Cardoso Leaves Chicago Sky in Disbelief originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Kamilla Cardoso knew she had one last opportunity to entertain the Chicago Sky fans on Tuesday night before heading to the FIBA Women's AmeriCup with Brazil. Advertisement She made the most of it, and then some. The 6-foot-7 Cardoso recorded a career-high 27 points to go with seven rebounds, three assists and a pair of blocks in the Sky's 97-86 win against the Los Angeles Sparks. Her "Sky Scraper" duo with Chicago forward and fellow 2024 first-round draft pick Angel Reese was in full force, too. Reese had 18 points, 17 rebounds, six assists and four steals. The most unexpected moment of Cardoso's outstanding performance came in the third quarter when she beat the shot clock with the first 3-pointer of her WNBA career. Chicago Sky's Kamilla Cardoso made the first 3-pointer of her career against the Los Angeles Krzaczynski-Imagn Images "ARE YOU KIDDING ME????" wrote the Chicago Sky's official account on X. While the social media admin may have been in shock, one person who was not was the Sparks' defender on the play, Rickea Jackson. Advertisement Jackson, another member of the 2024 WNBA Draft class, was the victim of Cardoso's first career triple in college when the South Carolina center drilled one against Jackson's Tennessee — a buzzer-beater that kept the Gamecocks' undefeated record intact. Chicago head coach Tyler Marsh confirmed that Cardoso was leaving after the game to join the Brazil national team for the AmeriCup tournament in Chile, which begins on Saturday. He expects her to return on July 6 against the Minnesota Lynx. She is on the Brazilian team with fellow WNBA player Damiris Dantas of the Indiana Fever. Cardoso was named AmeriCup MVP in 2023. Angel Reese Makes Kamilla Cardoso Admission After Sky-Sparks

Angel Reese Makes Kamilla Cardoso Admission After Sky-Sparks originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Kamilla Cardoso set a new career high with 27 points in the Chicago Sky's 97-86 win against the Los Angeles Sparks on Tuesday night. Advertisement The No. 3 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft has put her full range of skills on display for the Sky this season, averaging 11.6 points and 6.6 rebounds per game. She even hit her first career three-pointer against Los Angeles. Cardoso has become a fan favorite, as she has racked up 95,986 votes for the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game, good for No. 22 in the league in the recently-released early voting returns. She has formed a dynamic frontcourt duo with Angel Reese that looks like the key to Chicago's future, but Reese still cannot believe that the Sparks allowed the Sky the chance to put the two "Sky Scrapers" together in the first place. Chicago Sky center Kamilla Cardoso (left) and Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese (right).Kamil Krzaczynski-Imagn Images Cardoso's career night in her last game before joining Brazil for the FIBA Women's AmeriCup tournament this Saturday came in conjunction with a brilliant performance from Reese, too. Advertisement Reese finished with 18 points, 17 rebounds, six assists and four steals, blending her dominance on the glass with her playmaking ability that has blossomed since Chicago lost starting point guard Courtney Vandersloot to a season-ending knee injury. "My teammates did a great job of finding me today," Cardoso said in the postgame press conference, alongside Reese. The former LSU star added her two cents with a little shade toward the team they just defeated. "And [the Sparks] didn't pick her at No. 2," Reese said, before admitting, "We got lucky." While Cardoso is making her talents known, it remains to be seen whether or not the Sparks made a good choice with the No. 2 overall pick in last year's draft, which they used on Stanford center Cameron Brink with Cardoso still on the board. Advertisement Brink has not played since tearing her ACL in just the 15th game of her rookie season in 2024. At the time, she was already averaging 7.5 points and 5.3 rebounds per game while chipping in 1.1 steals and 2.3 blocks on defense.
