OnePlus 15 to be very, very black

The OnePlus 15 has already been rumored to go through a significant redesign compared to its predecessor, with the big round camera island being replaced with a rectangular one that will be left-aligned at the top of its rear.
But that's not all. Apparently, OnePlus is testing a "SuperBlack" colorway, which will be the blackest black we've ever seen on a smartphone, so black in fact that it will resemble a black hole. According to tipsters who have seen the prototype, it's "far better looking than imagined", for what it's worth. OnePlus 13
The OnePlus 15's 6.78-inch display will get a resolution downgrade to "1.5K", but might boast a higher refresh rate, and will come with extremely tiny and symmetrical bezels on all sides. They will be significantly smaller than on the OnePlus 13. The phone also has "upgraded multi-function buttons", whatever that means, and the display's quality is said to be excellent despite the lower resolution, with amazing brightness and detail levels and lower power consumption.
As you may have gathered, OnePlus is skipping the number 14 due to the presence of "4" which is considered bad luck in Chinese culture. The OnePlus 15 will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite 2, which is getting official in late September. It's expected to sport a 7,000 mAh battery and a triple rear camera system with a 50 MP main snapper and a periscope zoom camera as well.

Redmi 15 5G in for review

Prasad, 13 August 2025 Today, we are taking a look at the new Redmi 15 5G from Xiaomi. This is the latest budget smartphone in the company's long-running numbered Redmi series and while we can't reveal all the details yet, we can show what the device looks like and talk about some of its features. Starting with the design, the back of the phone looks rather familiar as we have seen similar designs in the past from Oppo and Vivo. There's a rectangular camera island to the top left with three circular elements stacked vertically on the left. In case of the Redmi 15 5G, the camera island is made out of aluminum. Also seen on the back is the icy pattern on the Frosted White variant that we have today. The phone also comes in two other colors, Midnight Black and Sandy Purple, where the former has a plain black look while the latter mimics the appearance of sand dunes. On the front is the 6.9-inch FHD+ LCD with a refresh rate that goes up to 144Hz. There are sizable bezels all-around, but that is to be expected in this segment. The Redmi 15 5G's claim to fame is its large 7000mAh battery. Xiaomi claims this is the only silicon-carbon battery in the segment and that it retains 80% of its life even after 4+ years of use. The phone can also be used as a power bank as it offers 18W reverse wired charging. Meanwhile, the phone itself offers 33W fast charging with a matching charger provided in the box. The Redmi 15 5G is running on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset and will come with the company's HyperOS 2 installed. Xiaomi promises two years of OS updates and four years of security updates. Other features include a 50MP camera at the back, IP64 ingress protection, and Dolby-certified audio. The Redmi 15 5G will be launched on August 19, and we will have more details to share then.

Poco M7 4G arrives with a familiar set of specs

Vlad, 13 August 2025 A few hours ago, Poco made the M7 Plus official, but the brand had also prepared a bit of a surprise to go along with it: the Poco M7 4G. Not to be confused with the M7 5G, which launched back in March, the 4G-only model has appeared in Poland and is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 685 4G SoC. This is paired with either 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, or 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. MicroSD cards up to 2TB are supported for expansion. The phone sports a 6.9-inch 1080x2340 LCD screen with 144Hz refresh rate, 288Hz touch sampling rate, and 850-nit peak brightness, a 50 MP rear camera with f/1.8 aperture and 1080p video recording support, and an 8 MP selfie snapper with f/2.0 aperture and 1080p video recording. The lights are kept on by a 7,000 mAh battery with support for 33W wired charging, but the phone isn't sold with a charger in the box (at least in Europe). There's also a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and IP64 dust and water resistance. The M7 4G runs Xiaomi's HyperOS 2. It measures 171.08 x 82.05 x 8.55 mm and weighs 224g. If all of these specs feel familiar, that's because they're nigh-on identical to those of the recently released Redmi 15 4G.

The Motorola Razr+ (2024) is powerful, gorgeous, AND remarkably affordable at a $400 discount today

If you want a 2025 Motorola Razr device but aren't quite sure which one to choose and when, it might be smart to take a few minutes to consider a 2024 model instead. I'd specifically recommend you look at the Razr Plus (2024) while it's marked down by a hefty 400 bucks. This is a hot new Best Buy deal that's not currently matched by the likes of Amazon or Motorola's own official US e-store, and as far as I can tell by looking back at our records of Razr promotions from the past, no retailer has offered a bigger discount on this particular phone before. $400 off (40%) 5G, Unlocked, 256GB Storage, 12GB RAM, Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 Processor, 6.9-Inch Main Foldable LTPO AMOLED Display with 2640 x 1080 Pixel Resolution and 165Hz Refresh Rate Technology, 4-Inch Secondary LTPO AMOLED Screen with 1272 x 1080 Pixel Resolution and 165Hz Refresh Rate Support, 50 + 50MP Dual Rear-Facing Camera System, 32MP Front-Facing Camera, Android 14, 4,000mAh Battery with 45W Charging Capabilities, Midnight Blue and Spring Green Color Options Buy at BestBuy The only other time (that I'm aware of, at least) bargain hunters have been able to slash $400 off the $999.99 list price of an unlocked Motorola Razr+ (2024) was during Amazon's Prime Day festival last month, and the obvious difference is that you don't need to be a member of anything or jump through hoops of any sort to take advantage of this latest big money-saving opportunity. Now, is this (slowly) aging thing still among the best foldables money can buy? I strongly believe so, especially when you can buy it for as little as $599.99 with no strings attached. That's simply an unbeatable price for an undeniably good-looking clamshell with massive 6.9 and 4-inch screens in tow, as well as Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processing power, a decidedly hefty 4,000mAh battery equipped with blazing fast 45W charging technology, two 50MP cameras, and a killer combination of 256GB internal storage space and 12GB RAM. That's a huge primary display for such an affordable foldable. | Image Credit -- PhoneArena The Razr+ (2025) and Razr Ultra (2025) are naturally even more sophisticated and powerful... which is why they're also considerably costlier. Perhaps the most relevant comparison to make, meanwhile, is with Samsung's just-released... and just-discounted Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, which sports smaller displays, worse cameras, slower charging, less memory, and less storage at a higher price point than the Motorola Razr Plus (2024) . If that doesn't make it clear what heavyweight value champion you're dealing with here, then I don't know what will.
