Marvel 1943 was first announced in October 2021 as a triple-A action-adventure game set in occupied Paris in 1943. Based on the 2010 Marvel Comics series Captain America/Black Panther: Flags of our Feathers, the game will see Captain America teaming up with Black Panther to stop the rise of the villainous group Hydra.

The game was being headed up by industry legend Amy Hennig, the creator of the Uncharted series and a key developer on Legacy of Kain, Jak and Daxter, and Battlefield Hardline, among many others. Hennig had previously been working on a Star Wars game called Project Ragtag with EA development team Visceral Games, which unfortunately shut down before development could be completed.
Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra was originally planned to be released at some point in 2025, and more details were revealed for the Marvel game late last year, with a first look at the game's Wakanda setting.
"Wakanda at this point in time is hidden away from the outside world and protected by this impenetrable jungle," Hennig told Entertainment Weekly at the time.
"They are non-interventionist, but events transpire that pull them into the conflict. They have to protect their interests. The world is getting smaller. No satellites yet, but there will be soon. You can shoot down planes that maybe want to fly over Wakanda, but how long can you stay in the shadows?"
No specific platforms have been announced for Marvel: 1943, but it's expected the game will be released on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Marvel Rumor Reveals Doctor Doom's Master Plan in Avengers: Doomsday
A new leak hints at Doctor Doom's strategy in Avengers: Doomsday, suggesting a pivotal link between the events of The Fantastic Four: First Steps and the next Avengers film. The report teases Doom's interest in Franklin Richards and alludes to a larger plan unfolding across multiple realities. It offers early clues about how the Fantastic Four's arrival may shape the MCU's multiverse storyline. According to a scoop posted by industry insider @MyTimeToShineH on X (formerly Twitter), 'Doom will take Franklin Richards and will use him for his plans,' referencing events expected to unfold across The Fantastic Four: First Steps and the upcoming Avengers film. This alleged development may come from the post-credits scene of The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Doom reportedly appears sitting near Franklin Richards as Sue Storm walks into the room. This scene could serve as a setup for the next Avengers film and explain why the Fantastic Four leave Earth-828 for Earth-616. Another theory suggests Doom may use Franklin's cosmic powers instead of stealing from the Beyonders. This resembles the 2015 Secret Wars comic, where Doom gains immense power until Franklin reclaims it and rebuilds the multiverse. There is also speculation that Franklin will trigger a soft reboot of the MCU after Secret Wars. The story may show Doom using Franklin's powers to reshape reality for his own vision of order. In a recent Instagram post from the set of Avengers: Doomsday, Robert Downey Jr. shared his character prep materials. Among them was Doom #1 by Jonathan Hickman. In the comic, Doom absorbs Celestial powers to fight a rampaging Galactus. This may hint at similar high-stakes action in the upcoming films. Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled for release on December 18, 2026, followed by Avengers: Secret Wars on December 17, 2027. Originally reported by Anubhav Chaudhry on SuperHeroHype. Summer Games Fest 2025: Marvel's Deadpool VR Features Voice of Neil Patrick Harris
Marvel's Deadpool VR made its debut at Summer Games Fest 2025, revealing a deep look into the gameplay with a new trailer. Marvel's Deadpool VR made its debut at Summer Games Fest 2025, revealing a deep look into the gameplay with a new trailer. The game will be out exclusively on the Meta Quest 3 and 3S. The game is created by Twisted Pixel and Oculus Studios, in collaboration with Marvel Games. One of the coolest parts of this title is that the titular character will be voiced by Neil Patrick Harris aka NPH. Finally, a chance to slip inside Deadpool's sweaty skintight suit and really become the Merc with a Mouth in all his flippy-shooty-off-the-wall glory. Marvel's Deadpool VR features an all-new original story. After being pulled through a portal toMojoworld, Deadpool sees a chance to get rich—like really rich. He signs a sketchy contract withoutreading any of the fine print (almost like his dealings in the recent third Deadpool film) and then it's off to visit a bunch of locations from across the Marvel Universe, battling against iconic (and not-so-iconic) villains. It's real metaverse stuff—in the Marvel Universe sense, not the VR one. Twisted Pixel spent years capturing Deadpool's unique blend of parkour and combat, building onthe beat-em-up bona fides it established in Path of the Warrior. Players will be able to do all the fun and dangerous things Deadpool gets into, from simple stabs to punching someone while holding a grenade. You can even throw around severed limbs. Woah! Yuck! The possibilities are almsot endless. Deadpool VR will release later this year on Meta Quest 3 and 3S. Fans can check out the blog for updates.
