‘My Father's Wife' stokes intrigue in teaser video
The teaser, shared by GMA Drama on Instagram, suggested a love affair between Gabby's and Kazel's characters. In the series, Gabby plays the role of Kylie's father, while Kazel portrays her best friend.
Jak also enters the scene, playing the role of Kylie's lover.
'Thou shalt not covet thy best friend's father,' the caption read.
'My Father's Wife' will premiere on June 23 on GMA Network.
Aside from the main cast, the series will also star Snooky Serna, Arlene Muhlach, Andre Paras, Maureen Larrazabal, and Sue Prado.
Gabby previously starred in "My Guardian Alien," while Kylie starred in "Asawa ng Asawa Ko" and Kazel appeared in "My Ilonggo Girl."
Kylie is also reprising her role as Amihan in "Sang'gre' which will start airing on June 16 on GMA Prime.

Pirena fails to secure fire gem against Olgana
Pirena (Glaiza De Castro) succeeded in taking back the fire gem from Mine-a-ve general Olgana (Bianca Manalo) but her victory was short-lived. On Monday's episode, Pirena confronted Olgana after coming to Terra's rescue in the mortal world. Olgana was using the fire gem lent to her by Mitena (Rhian Ramos), so Pirena saw the opportunity to claim it back. She ordered the fire gem to return to its true master. The two played tug-of-war with the gem, but Pirena eventually won and transformed into her battle armor. Olgana, however, attacked Pirena's neck and once again took the gem after the Sang'gre went down. Terra (Bianca Umali) rushed to Pirena, who told her to use the ivictus to take them to safety in the home of the duwende. Terra and the duwende healed Pirena's injury, and when she regained consciousness, she told her niece about her true identity as a Sang'gre and her destiny as Encantadia's savior. Meanwhile in Lireo, Flamarra (Faith Da Silva), Adamus (Kelvin Miranda), and the other Encantados broke out of jail to escape the castle, which is under Mitena's control. Ashley Ortega attends Carmina Villarroel's surprise birthday party
Ashley Ortega was one of those who attended Carmina Villarroel's surprise birthday celebration. According to Athena Imperial's report on "24 Oras" Monday, the Sparkle star had long been aware of the surprise birthday plan for Carmina, organized by her boyfriend Mavy Legaspi and his twin sister Cassy. "Mavy at Cassy, they are good in planning din naman. Siguro ang naging ambag ko sa party ay kumanta lang ako. Naging karaoke night kasi 'yon," she said. Ashley also shared that her favorite part of the intimate party was the heartfelt message from Carmina's husband, Zoren Legaspi. "Na-touch ako sa sinabi ni Tito Zoren na even though matagal na sila together parang each day na-experience niya pa rin 'yung feeling na na-iinlove kay Tita Carmina," Ashley said. Carmina celebrated her 50th birthday on Sunday. Previously, Mavy took to Instagram to greet his mom whom he called the "heart of the family." Ashley confirmed her relationship with Mavy in February.
