EastEnders' Elaine attacked in terrifying showdown at the Arches
But things take another turn for the former pub landlady next week, when she's attacked after inadvertently getting caught up in Harry Mitchell (Elijah Holloway) and Ravi Gulati's (Aaron Thiara) dark dealings.
As fans of the BBC soap know, Ravi has been forcing Harry to deal drugs after Harry's pal Kojo Asare (Dayo Koleosho) innocently flushed a stash he'd found in the boot of Ravi's car at The Arches.
Ravi, Harry and their associate Okie have also been using Kojo's flat – where Harry is currently staying with Kojo and his brother George – for their illegal activities.
Okie has also been manipulating Kojo in a bid to cover up their dealings, and in scenes to air next week, Okie buys his 'friend' an expensive watch.
George's suspicions are raised when Kojo tells him about the gift, but not wanting to meddle, he's relieved when his estranged wife Elaine offers to get to the bottom of things.
However, when she visits Kojo at work at The Arches, she finds him surrounded by a group of threatening lads.
As she approaches, the lads throw Elaine to the ground as a terrifying ordeal starts to unfold.

EastEnders' Elaine 'thrown to the ground' in violent attack as George's secret 'rumbled'
It's set to be a frightening week for Elaine Peacock in EastEnders next week as spoilers reveal that she's set to be knocked to the ground by a group of threatening lads... It's been a tough few weeks for Elaine Peacock in EastEnders, from suffering a heart attack, to selling the pub and being left with no work. Not to mention splitting from her husband George Knight. However, things are about to get a whole lot worse for the character, as spoilers for next week reveal that she's thrown to the ground after being surrounded by a group of threatening lads in an attempt to help her ex George. George was seen getting intimate with Nicola last week - and after the attack Elaine and Cindy are set to find out about their 'relationship'. It all starts when George becomes concerned after hearing that Kojo's 'new friend' Okie has bought him an expensive watch, spoilers for next week reveal. Recently, Ravi has been getting Harry in his illegal dealings with Okie, and next week Harry is set to find out that the duo are using Kojo's flat for their illegal activities. It comes after an EastEnders legend was rushed to hospital after a deadly attack by a familiar face. Now, Okie will be seen manipulating Kojo in a bid to cover up their illegal dealings - as George tries to intervene next week when he buys him a watch. However, not wanting to meddle, George is grateful when Elaine offers to suss the situation out. She goes to see Kojo at his workplace, The Arches, however, disaster strikes when she's thrown to the ground by a group of threatening lads. Kojo and Elaine are then surrounded in a terrifying ordeal, but Okie arrives and chases the gang off. The duo then inform George on how he saved them, and things escalate when Kojo trusts him enough to give him the keys to his flat... We know Kojo flushed Ravi's drugs down the toilet, but he's yet to find out. Will it ever come out and how will Ravi react if it does? Last month, we saw Elaine suffer a heart attack with all the stress of selling the Vic, which she finally agreed to, and she and daughter Linda sold it to Kat Slater in the auction. However, we've recently seen Elaine feeling rather lost not being behind the bar, even going as far as to help Cindy in the Albert to get back into the swing of things. Fans are loving the 'double act' of George's exes, who usually loathe each other. Next week, the pair are set to partner up yet again when they realise there's a new woman in George's life. George and Nicola shocked viewers last week when they got intimate in the office of Harry's Barn. Elaine and Cindy are set to find out the new woman in George's life is Nicola next week, but how will they react?

Disturbing scenes in early EastEnders release as Joel sinks to new lows
This article contains spoilers for tonight's episode of EastEnders, which airs at 7.30pm on BBC One or can be streamed now on iPlayer. Joel Marshall (Max Murray) has spiralled out of control – and dad Ross (Alex Walkinshaw) has enabled it. The teen has now chosen to target a neighbour after another troubling week. As viewers have seen, Joel discovered that his mum Cleo – who he previously branded a 'slapper' – was getting remarried. He seemed to take the news well, but later headed to The Vic to steal booze with his mate Tommy Moon (Sonny Kendall). When they were caught, he began to tear strips off Tommy's mum Kat (Jessie Wallace), and Ross had to drag him out of the pub. Back at home, he decided to allow his dad into his inner circle, showing him a worrying video from a sexist and misogynistic influencer who he clearly was inspired by. When Joel wandered off into the kitchen, Ross decided to delve deeper into his files and noticed that he'd shared countless videos of girls being upskirted or filmed without their knowledge online. Ross snapped, and threw the laptop into the sink before branding his son a 'disgusting little pervert.' In today's episode, Vicki Fowler (Alice Haig) questioned why the device had been waterlogged, and why Ross didn't want Joel to work with him at the timber yard. Outside on Bridge Street, Joel begged Peter Beale (Thomas Law) to give him work, clearly desperate to get some money in his pocket to buy a new laptop. Vicki questioned her partner once again, and he finally came clean about what he'd found. She was disgusted, and told him that it was about time he set the vile youngster onto the straight and narrow. Joel apologised to Kat, and while hanging out with Tommy again, noticed that Vicki was downing drinks with Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) at the bar. The two were discussing recent events, and Stace' spoke of her own mistreatment at the hands of various men in her life. Joel lashed out again in a public display of hatred, demanding that Vicki go home and make his evening meal and degrading Stacey. Kat ordered the boys back upstairs, where Tommy leapt to the defence of his family, explaining that Stacey had once been stalked as a result of using the platform SecretCam. That clearly gave Joel food for thought… As viewers will recall, Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier) introduced Stacey to the OnlyFans dupe when she was looking for a way to make some quick cash. Under the username IceSKater95, she uploaded feet pictures to the site to pay off her bills and a loan shark. Her uploads became more risqué at the request of a subscriber, who she later realised was Walford High teacher Theo Hawthorne (William Ellis). He subsequently stalked Stacey, attempting to rape her and was handed a 10 year stretch in prison. Inspired by Tommy's story, he headed downstairs and referred to Stacey by her username, branding her a 'dirty little prostitute'. He then brought up daughter Lily Slater (Lillia Turner), saying that she is a 'sket' because she fell pregnant with Ricky Branning's (Frankie Day) baby when she was 12 years old. Stacey was furious, and as Ross stepped into the bar, she slapped Joel across the face. Want to be the first to hear shocking EastEnders spoilers? Who's leaving Coronation Street? In a serious case of déjà vu, Ross marched him back across the road for another confrontation. Boosted by some advice from Harvey Monroe (Ross Boatman) about parenting, he told Joel that some things are better left unsaid – even if it is how you feel. More Trending He also demanded that if he felt compelled to view such shocking content online in future, he should turn to him for support. Then, to make matters a lot worse, he presented Joel with a new laptop that he could use to study ahead of his return to Walford High in September. Ross clearly thought that by putting trust in him, his behaviour would change. View More » Of course, it hasn't. When Ross left the room, Joel loaded up Stacey's SecretCam page. Emmerdale confirms huge Charity and Vanessa twist in early ITVX release
The following article contains pretty major spoilers from an episode of Emmerdale that has not aired on ITV1 yet, but can be viewed on ITVX. Right, that's your warning. Now onto the news. Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) and Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) have shared a kiss in Emmerdale, and Vanity fans are losing their minds. The popular former couple split in 2020 after Charity cheated on Vanessa with Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb), who she is now married to. Meanwhile, Vanessa went on to embark on a relationship with Suzy Merton (Martelle Edinborough), but she died in the ITV soap's epic limo crash stunt earlier this year. Vanessa was supported by Mary Goskirk (Louise Jameson) in the aftermath of Suzy's death, although flashbacks revealed she'd shared a kiss with Suzy before she died. For most of this year, Charity and Vanessa have been sharing quite a few scenes together, and it hasn't gone unnoticed. In recent weeks, Vanessa has been supporting Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill), who wants to become a mum through surrogacy. The agreement is that Charity will carry Sarah's baby for her, but their journey took a turn yesterday. At the start of the week, Charity fell over in the woods while walking with Mackenzie. She then suffered bleeding, which made her realise the recent embryo transfer probably hadn't worked. Vanessa was the first person to discover this and supported her, and continued to do so in this evening's episode. After Sarah discovered Charity's fall, she left Jacobs Fold. It allowed Mackenzie to try and be there for Charity, but he made a terrible mistake when he tried to suggest that losing the embryo was for the best. Because of Mack's previous comments about Charity being the surrogate, she believed it looked as though Mack was pleased about this development. The couple had an intense argument, and it ended with Charity walking out and heading to the pub. There, Charity got very drunk and was found by Vanessa. She was making a bit of a show of herself, so Vanessa took her back to her house. Charity spoke about the surrogacy and Mack and Vanessa was kind to her. She listened and offered advice, all while making pasta and offering Charity water to sober her up. Just as the instalment ended though, Charity potentially took things a little too far. Vanessa had told her that she can sleep in Tracy's (Amy Walsh) bed, and Charity said that she should join her. The two characters ended up kissing, but the credits rolled before we could see a reaction from the both of them. What will happen next? Was Vanessa just being friendly to Charity, or does she feel something more for her ex? Want to be the first to hear shocking EastEnders spoilers? Who's leaving Coronation Street? Emma Atkins, who plays Charity, previously reflected on the impact her character's relationship with Vanessa had on fans. 'A lot of people took to that and it resonated. The fact it was two women, it made a brilliant impact for a lot of people.' More Trending 'I think when they do have scenes together, there's always that potential for an opening again, of reconnection, because they get on so well as friends,' she said. 'There's always that spark and you never know in soap properly what they choose to do from one moment to the next, and it's always a joy to work with Michelle. 'So either way, it's going to be a win-win. Even if they just have a lovely friendship, because there is a friendship there to be had.'
