In his remarkable career, Nawazuddin Siddiqui has portrayed a range of iconic roles. While Nawaz makes playing these characters look effortless on screen, a great deal of work goes into making them appear authentic. In a recent interaction, Nawazuddin Siddiqui opened up about his acting process and the lengths he goes to for his roles.
While speaking to Just Too Filmy, Nawaz shared that to play the character of Tehmur Langda in Aamir Khan's Talaash, he had to adopt a limp. Explaining how he altered his physicality for the role, he said, 'I changed my physicality to play the character in Talaash. The character in the film is very fast and he has a limp, and when he talks, his eyes get big. I am a clam and cool guy but to play that character I had to bring in these things.'
Nawaz gave the example of another of his iconic characters, Faisal from Anurag Kashyap's Gangs of Wasseypur, revealing how he would use glycerin in his eyes and endure the discomfort just to add depth to the role. He said, 'I would put glycerin in my eyes, not to cry but so that my eyes would get red and some pain is visible in them.'
However, Nawaz became particularly consumed by his role as a serial killer in Anurag's later film Psycho Raman — so much so that he unconsciously began reciting its dialogues while being admitted to a hospital. He said, 'While shooting for Psycho Raman I got ill and was admitted to hospital. I fainted on the set and was taken to hospital. I was so much into the character at that time that I would say the film's dialogues while I was on the hospital bed, I didn't realise it, I was told by people around me that I was doing this. Doctors warned me to come out of the character and take care of myself otherwise it will be problem.'
On the professional front, Nawazuddin was last seen in Zee5's film Costao, which received mixed reviews from critics. However, Nawaz's performance in the film was widely praised. He will next be seen in the Netflix film Raat Akeli Hai 2.

Dolly Parton Shuts The Door On Meghan Markle? Another PR Move Backfires For The Duchess Meghan Markle reportedly faced a major snub after country music legend Dolly Parton declined an invite to appear on her Netflix show With Love, Meghan. According to royal commentator Kinsey Schofield, Dolly's team was allegedly 'livid' at the suggestion, viewing it as a calculated PR move to boost Meghan's credibility in the lifestyle space. Sources claim Parton wanted to protect her wholesome public image and felt Meghan was attempting to 'ride her goodwill' for clout. Journalist Maureen Callahan even joked that Dolly in Meghan's 'fake kitchen' would cause 'spontaneous combustion.' Despite the rejection, Netflix confirmed a second season of Meghan's show earlier this year. 2.0K views | 1 day ago

Sunny Deol Gets Real About 'Jaat', Pressure Post-Gadar 2 & Why He STILL Hates Dancing | EXCLUSIVE The film is backed by the well-known production house behind the Pushpa series, marking their first Hindi-language production. The makers have already confirmed that a sequel is on the way. The movie reportedly crossed around Rs 100 crore worldwide. ETimes reviewed the movie: 'Visually, the film holds its own. Thaman S's background score heightens the drama effectively, and the cinematography offers a gritty, lived-in aesthetic. Action sequences, while often overindulgent, are slick and impactful. The dialogues, penned by Saurabh Gupta and Sai Madhav Burra, are over-the-top and theatrical—often more memorable than the scenes themselves. However, narrative pacing becomes a significant issue post-interval. The second half drags, and the film's 153-minute runtime begins to weigh heavily. A forced item number featuring feels unnecessary and only adds to the film's bloated feel.' On the work front, Sunny is gearing up for the release of 'Border 2'.
