Stalin inaugurates integrated agriculture extension centre at Nanguneri, veterinary pharmacy at Vasudevanallur

Chief Minister M. K. Stalin inaugurated through videoconferencing the integrated agriculture extension centre built at a cost of ₹2.75 crore at Nanguneri on Friday.
The new facility houses agriculture, horticulture, seed certification, agro business and agro engineering departments and hence the farmers of this region can avail all services being extended by these departments under one roof. Moreover, they can also buy seeds and fertilizers from the depots here and undergo training being organised by these departments on new agricultural, horticultural and floricultural techniques.
After the Chief Minister inaugurated the Centre, District Collector R. Sukumar lighted the traditional lamp and distributed vegetable seeds under the Nutrition Farming Mission.
'Farmers and public can buy seeds of vegetables, greens, fruits, crops and tree saplings under the Nutrition Farming Mission from this Centre. While the farmers can use these seeds in their fields, the public can raise these fruits and vegetables either in their backyard or on their terrace to address the nutrition deficiency in their families,' Dr. Sukumar said.

In Tenkasi, Mr. Stalin inaugurated the veterinary pharmacy built at a cost of ₹1.18 crore at Vasudevanallur, agriculture regulatory market built at a cost of ₹5.17 crore at Alangulam, godowns at Sankarnkovil (₹5.50 crore) and Paavoorchathram (₹2.90 crore) and agriculture extension centre at Achchanpudhur at a cost of ₹50 lakh.
District Collector A. K. Kamal Kishore and Vasudevanallur MLA T. Sadan Thirumalaikumar visited the veterinary pharmacy at Vasudevanallur.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Thursday appealed to general public and elected representatives to take part in the camps to be organised under the upcoming 'Nalam Kakkum Stalin' programme. A total of 1,256 camps are to be organised in all 38 districts of Tamil Nadu under the programme that is set to be launched in Chennai on August 2. The camps would offer a range of medical services to the people. 'The general public, especially those who were screened under the 'Ungaludan Stalin' programme and were recommended for elaborate medical screening, must take part in these camps and benefit,' Mr. Stalin said. These camps would offer medical services closer to their habitations, he said. In a social media post, Mr. Stalin said he would launch the camps from Chennai on August 2. These 1,256 camps were to be organised on all Saturdays across Tamil Nadu. 'The results of the screening would be informed to the participants by SMS. They would be provided with folders with results of their blood test, ECG, ECG, X-Ray, USG, mammogram, among others.'

Chennai: Health minister Ma. Subramanian on Tuesday reviewed the 'Ungaludan Stalin' initiative at G.M. Mahal in Nerkundram (Ward 148), Valasaravakkam Zone, and said the camps are emerging as a single-window solution for a range of govt services. Launched by chief minister M.K. Stalin on July 15 in Chidambaram, the outreach programme aims to conduct 10,000 such camps across the state by November, bringing government schemes and grievance redressal mechanisms closer to people. "What's new about these camps is the scale and integration—services from 15 departments are being offered under one roof," the minister told reporters. Six camps are being conducted daily in different localities, he added. Trained volunteers from the Corporation assisted women with the forms, ensuring no intermediarieswereinvolved.

T.N. CM Stalin continues to review ‘Ungaludan Stalin' programme from hospital

On his third day at a private hospital in Chennai on Wednesday (July 23, 2025), Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin continued to review the 'Ungaludan Stalin' programme. Mr. Stalin had a virtual session with the Collectors of Coimbatore, Kancheepuram, and Kanniyakumari districts and reviewed the programme's implementation in those districts. During the virtual meeting, Mr. Stalin instructed the officials to ensure that petitions received under the 'Ungaludan Stalin' programme were reviewed at once, an official release stated. The Chief Minister also reiterated that officials must ensure amenities for those who visit the camps organised under the progamme. Chief Secretary N. Muruganandam and two of the Chief Minister's secretaries were at the hospital with him. Following giddiness during his morning walk, the 72-year-old Chief Minister was admitted to Apollo Hospitals on Greams Road in the city on Monday (July 21) forenoon. A bulletin issued by the hospital on Monday evening said that he had been advised rest for three more days and was prescribed a few other tests for evaluation.
