Josh O'Connor Was a Snazzy Standout at the Cannes Film Festival
At the annual Cannes Film Festival, traditional evening attire and classic tuxedo dressing always prevails—so much so that the 2025 festival dress code was stricter than ever. (This year, that meant no naked dressing or over-the-top voluminous gowns.) Even so, that didn't mean that top Hollywood stars didn't have fun with their outfits. Specifically, the men of Cannes embraced whimsical dressing—be it Alexander Skarsgard in thigh-high boots, or Jeremy Strong with his rainbow assortment of pastels. The Mastermind star Josh O'Connor, meanwhile, was another best dressed celebrity: He totally stood out with his individualistic approach to suiting up.
Working with stylist Harry Lambert (who was also behind Skarsgard's winning Cannes looks), O'Connor took a more eccentric approach to tailoring—with much of his festival wardrobe being custom Prada. 'Me and Josh looked through the last Prada show and exchanged some images of runway looks that we loved, and we started building out a moodboard with references and ideas,' says Lambert. 'There was quite a bit of mix-and-matching of pieces in the last show, which we loved. We wanted to do mix-and-matched tailoring for Cannes.' It started when the star first touched down in the south of France: O'Connor landed in a green and cream western-style Prada shirt, paired with a cool oversized bowling bag. 'We looked at a knitwear from the runway, and there was this cream and green jumper with western detailing. We asked Prada to turn it into a shirt for us,' says Lambert.

A few years ago, it would be hard to imagine Elena Rybakina and Iga Świątek meeting in the Round of 16 at a Grand Slam. But that's where we are in the fourth round this year at Roland Garros, with Rybakina the 12th seed and Świątek the fifth seed. This will be their ninth meeting, with the career head-to-head 4-4. Rybakina is 2-0 on clay against Świątek. She is one of the few players who has the serve and the return game to overpower Świątek. Świątek hasn't lost at Roland Garros since 2021. Will her winning streak continue in Paris or will Rybakina knock out the three-time defending French Open champ? One of the matches of the day to kick off the fourth round at the French Open is Ben Shelton taking on defending Roland Garros champion Carlos Alcaraz. Alcaraz is 2-0 against Shelton but both of their meetings came on hard court at the Laver Cup and the Canadian Open. This will be their first clay court meeting. Shelton won a five-set battle against Lorenzo Sonego in the first round before not dropping a set against Matteo Gigante in the third following a walkover. Alcaraz has only dropped one set this tournament... in the second round against Fábián Marozsán. With both players loving to hit highlight-reel shots, it promises to be an entertaining match. After a sweltering Saturday that got up to 29.4 degrees Celsius (85 F), Sunday's forecast is much more reasonable at Roland Garros. Per AccuWeather, the forecast is cloudy and 23 degrees Celsius (73.4 F) with no precipitation in sight. Should be a great day of tennis in Paris. Below are the men's singles Round of 16 matches: L. Real Madrid Legend Linked To European Giant
Real Madrid legend Luka Modric is being linked with a possible move to AC Milan by both the Italian press and transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano, citing anonymous sources. Modric's departure from the Bernabeu after winning no fewer than six Champions League titles across 13 glory-filled years was announced last month, as the European club season wound down. 'The time has come. The moment I never wanted to come, but that's football, and in life everything has a beginning and an end... On Saturday I will play my last game at the Santiago Bernabeu,' Modric wrote in a farewell letter. 'I arrived in 2012 with the illusion of wearing the shirt of the best team in the world and with the ambition to do great things, but I could not imagine what came next. Playing for Real Madrid changed my life as a footballer and as a person. I am proud to have been part of one of the most successful eras of the best club in history,' the Croat added, while also explaining that he will play in the Club Word Cup which kicks off in the United States on June 14. Madrid has a strong chance of going all the way to the final on July 14 and also earning serious prize money in the meantime. Regardless of how far Los Blancos go, though, Modric must find a new employer if he wishes to continue playing, while closing in on his 40th birthday. That's where AC Milan could come in according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, which has run a front page spread regarding the potential free transfer. Elsewhere on X, formerly known as Twitter, Fabrizio Romano explained that 'AC Milan new director Igli Tare dreams of bringing Luka Modrić to the club'. 'He's one of the names mentioned in initial internal talks. Modric received several approaches from clubs all over the world since leaving Real Madrid, [but is] not in a rush to pick his next club,' the Italian added. Thought of by many as being Real Madrid's greatest ever midfielder, Modric clearly has plenty of options to continue a storied career. Potential next destinations aren't just in Europe, but also in the United States and Saudi Arabia.
