Naidu, brand ambassador for backstabbing politics: Parvathareddy
Parvathareddy along with Zilla Parishad chairperson Anam Arunamma and MLC Meriga Muralidhar has unveiled a book over the failures of TDP-led coalition government during its one-year rule, titled 'Vennupotu' at party district office here on Sunday.
The YSRCP leader sarcastically stated that resorting to backstabbing politics is very common for Chandrababu Naidu, as he illegally grabbed power from his father-in-law and former CM NT Rama Rao. He criticised that the coalition government has completely failed in implementing its 140 promises given to people during 2024 electioneering. He warned that people of the State are closely monitoring the situation and they would teach a befitting lesson to TDP in appropriate time.
MLC M Muralidhar has alleged that coalition government is terrorising public with the implementation of its 'Red Book' constitution, making them to be panic and fear as to what will happen in the next minute. He opined that the huge public response to their party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's visits clearly shows that they are regretting their fault in not voting for YSRCP in 2024 elections. 'Good days are ahead for YSRCP since it will surely resume power again,' he stated.

Amit shah says BJP will form government in kerala after 2026 election and urges workers to win local body polls
അമിത് ഷാ. THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Union Home Minister Amit Shah said here on Saturday that the presence of the BJP has significantly improved in Kerala and that the party would form the govt in the state after the 2026 assembly election. Shah urged party workers to work hard so that the NDA wins over 20,000 seats in the upcoming local body elections by improving the vote share to 25 percent. Addressing party workers at the ward-level leadership meet at Putharikandam Maidan, Shah stated that the BJP has established its presence in all booths in Kerala. "All should work hard to win 21,000 seats and 25 percent votes in the local body election. If people in Kerala want development, they have only one choice, that is the BJP. People should stop the earlier practice of voting against the LDF and UDF in turns," Shah said. He said the vote share of BJP was 11 percent in 2014 and it increased to 16 per cent in 2019 and it touched 20 percent in 2024 Lok Sabha election. Amit Shah mentioned that both the LDF and UDF had their own share of corruption whenever they came to power. However, the NDA govt led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi faced no corruption charges. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like American Investor Warren Buffett Recommends: 5 Books For Turning Your Life Around Blinkist: Warren Buffett's Reading List Undo Shah said the gold smuggling was the biggest corruption sponsored by any state govt in the country. "A developed India is not possible unless South Indian states develop. Also. the developement of Kerala is not possible without BJP," Shah said, adding that the BJP would wrest power in Tamil Nadu in the upcoming assembly election. Amit Shah asserted that the BJP was not a North Indian party as claimed by political opponents. The BJP has won and formed the govt in Assam. The BJP has wrested power from the CPM in Tripura. It also came to power in Odisha. "Opponents always used to dismiss the BJP's efforts to form the govt in these states. But the BJP proved them wrong. After the 2026 assembly election, the BJP-led NDA would form the govt in Kerala too," Amit Shah said. Amit Shah, who accused the LDF and UDF of practicing communal and appeasement politics, said the CPM-led LDF govt in Kerala did nothing to stop the emergence of the PFI as an anti national force. "It was the Narendra Modi govt that banned the PFI when it started spreading its presence in other states, posing threat to the country. This PFI is still alive in Kerala in different forms. The CPM should clarify what action the LDF govt has taken against this communal terror group," he said. Shah stated that the BJP considers the welfare of the country above the welfare of its own cadres, but for the CPM, the focus was always on the welfare of their own cadres. Shah said Kerala was reduced to a hub of corruption, appeasement, violence, and anti-national activities under the successive rule of the LDF and UDF. Narendra Modi declared adherence to three principles: corruption-free governance, non-discriminatory governance, and the end of vote-bank politics. Kerala too can move ahead on the path of development only by adhering to the principles to which Modi and his govt adhere, Shah said. He inaugurated the leadership meet after inaugurating the new BJP state office.

Gold smuggling case in Kerala the ‘biggest govt.-sponsored scam' in the country, says Amit Shah
Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a scathing attack on the Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI(M)]-led Left Democratic Front (LDF) in Kerala on Saturday (July 12, 2025), describing the 2020 gold smuggling case as the 'biggest State government-sponsored scam' the entire country has seen. Mr. Shah also reiterated the Narendra Modi government's resolve to end Naxalism by the end of March 2026. Mr. Shah was addressing ward-level leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at the Viksit Kerala convention, which also set the stage for the formal launch of the party's campaign for the crucial local body elections scheduled for later this year. Both the LDF and the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF), which have alternately ruled in Kerala, have a track record of corruption and appeasement and vote bank politics, Mr. Shah said. While the people of Kerala gave them ample opportunities, the two fronts gave in return only violence, corruption, creation of vote banks, appeasement, and the fostering of anti-national elements. 'Countless scams' The LDF rule has been plagued by countless scams including those related to the cooperative societies, the LIFE Mission, PPE kits and the Exalogic controversy, but the gold smuggling case ranks as the biggest government-sponsored scam, he said. UDF rule, which he described as being on the point of 'winding up,' also has been infested with scams, according to him. He said that the time is now ripe for the BJP to come to power in Kerala. In the 2025 local body elections, the BJP will contest in over 21,000 wards, with the aim of securing over 25% of the votes. In the 2026 State Assembly elections, the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will seek to come to power in the State, he said. 'In the 2014 elections, Kerala gave 11% votes to the BJP. In 2019 it rose to 16% and in 2024, to 20%. Now it is time for the BJP to make a government here,' he said. BJP is no more a 'growing party' in Kerala. The party has now considerable reach in every booth in the State, he said. He appealed to the people of the State to stop choosing between LDF and UDF, and vote for the BJP. 'Viksit Kerala' is impossible without the BJP, he said. On Viksit Kerala He described corruption-free governance, discrimination-free implementation of government programmes, and holding Kerala's development above vote bank politics as the three foundations of the concept of Viksit Kerala. While both BJP and CPI(M) are cadre parties, the critical difference between them is that the CPI(M) places the development of its cadres above that of Kerala, Mr. Shah said. For the BJP, 'developed Kerala' holds priority over the development of its cadres, he said. BJP State president Rajeev Chandrasekhar, who presided, said the party State unit would launch an intense and united 'Mission 2025' campaign over the next four months in the run-up to the local body polls. Minister of State for Fisheries and Animal Husbandry George Kurian, party general secretaries M.T. Ramesh, Shobha Surendran and S. Suresh, senior leaders K. Surendran, V. Muraleedharan, P.K. Krishnadas and A.N. Radhakrishnan were among those present. P.C. George, retired IPS officer R. Sreelekha, Padmaja Venugopal and Anil Antony were also present. Earlier in the day, Mr. Shah inaugurated the new office of the State unit of the BJP 'Mararji Bhavan' near Aristo Junction.

Govt boasting of 'one and a half years vs five years' can't even conduct basic elections: Gehlot
Jaipur: Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Saturday launched a sharp attack on the BJP-led state government, accusing it of shirking its constitutional responsibilities by delaying elections to Panchayati Raj institutions and urban local bodies. Gehlot said, "The government that boasts of 'one and a half years versus five years' has failed to conduct even basic democratic elections." He highlighted that Article 243-E of the Constitution mandates that Panchayati Raj elections must be held every five years without fail. "The current government is openly flouting constitutional provisions due to fear of an electoral defeat," he alleged. Gehlot further cited key Supreme Court rulings, including Goa Government vs Fauzia Imtiaz Sheikh and Punjab State Election Commission vs Punjab Government, which reaffirm that elections for local self-government bodies must be conducted every five years, as enshrined in the Constitution. 'Even the highest court of the country has made it clear -- these elections are not optional. They are a democratic necessity,' he stressed. The former CM claimed that the BJP's avoidance of timely elections reflects its nervousness about facing the public. 'They know the people are unhappy and might vote them out. That's why they're delaying elections on flimsy grounds,' he said. Gehlot urged the Election Commission and judiciary to intervene and ensure democratic processes are followed. 'Democracy is being weakened under this regime. If elections are not held on time, it sets a dangerous precedent for the country,' he warned. Over 6,500 Panchayati Raj institutions and over 50 municipal bodies in Rajasthan have completed their five-year term, but elections have not yet been conducted. The State Election Commission confirmed this recently in response to a Right to Information (RTI) query. The commission stated that no proposal for elections has been received so far, and elections cannot be held until delimitation and reorganisation processes are completed. The State Election Commission, in a submission to the High Court, explained that the work of delimitation and reorganisation is currently underway at the state government level, due to which, timely elections were not possible. As of January 2025, the tenure of over 6,500 Panchayats had ended. In the interim, the state government appointed sarpanches as administrators, a move that has been challenged in the High Court.
