Keith Urban has appeared to have hung up on an Adelaide radio show after being asked a question about his superstar wife's raunchy on-screen interactions with younger men.
Speaking with Mix 102.3 hosts Max Burford and Hayley Pearson on Tuesday morning via zoom call, the country singer was complimented on his youthful appearance.
'I just want to say, you literally have not aged in 20 years. You look amazing,' Pearson said to Urban.
Urban then took part in the radio show's 'Wall of Truth' segment, in which guests are posed a series of often personal and revealing questions.
He was pressed about his wife and actress Nicole Kidman's raunchy scenes with younger actors such as Zac Efron, who Kidman starred alongside in 2024 film 'A Family Affair'.
'When I was coming up with something to ask you Keith Urban, if you're happy to play this game... I thought, what does Keith Urban think when he sees his beautiful wife with beautiful younger men like Zac Efron having these beautiful love scenes on TV and radio?' Burford asked the country singer.
Urban was then suddenly disconnected from the call after he or someone on his team appeared to hang up, leaving the radio hosts bewildered, with Burford asking 'Oh, why has that happened? What's just happened?'.
'Did he just hang up on us?' Pearson questioned.
The breakfast radio show crew then began to debate why the interview had abruptly ended.
'He doesn't like the personal stuff... oh I knew that would happen,' Pearson said.
'If you knew it was going to happen, why didn't you stop me asking the question?' Burford then asked his co-host.
A producer on the radio show immediately tried contacting Urban's publicist as to what had happened, before saying "I may have gotten ghosted from the publicist".
As well as her scenes with Efron in A Family Affair, Kidman also appeared in 'Babygirl' last year, where she portrayed a chief executive having an affair which a much younger intern.
Kidman in March revealed to the Hollywood Reporter in March that she was 'off' acting for the rest of the year after starring in several recent blockbusters, but the actress later seemingly backtracked on her plans for a break.
Urban was reportedly 'worried' about his wife after she was spotted on the set of a TV series just weeks after she spoke to the Hollywood Reporter.
"Keith isn't angry, but he's worried and understandably very frustrated," an insider said to New Idea in April.
"He knows how much Nic loves her job, but she keeps moving the goal posts. Instead of putting herself first - something he and the kids need her to do - she's putting work first every time."

'Keith doesn't hate us': Adelaide radio hosts reveal what really happened after X-rated Nicole Kidman question cut their interview with Keith Urban short

Adelaide-based radio hosts Hayley Pearson and Max Burford have lifted the lid on their excruitiating Keith Urban interview. The moment unfolded on Tuesday when the 57-year-old Aussie music star appeared on Mix 102.3's Hayley & Max breakfast show via Zoom to promote his upcoming High and Alive world tour, which kicks off July 17 in Denver and includes a stop in Adelaide on August 28. Urban appeared relaxed and cheerful during the chat, even expressing his excitement about returning to perform for his Aussie fans. But the conversation derailed when the duo asked him to participate in the program's recurring segment, Wall of Truth. "When I was coming up with something to ask you, Keith Urban, if you're happy to play this game, the first thing I thought of is your beautiful wife, Nicole Kidman, being in so many great movies and TV shows all the time," Max said. "I watched a movie with her and Zac Efron recently, A Family Affair, and I thought, 'What does Keith Urban think when he sees his beautiful wife with beautiful younger men like Zac Efron, having these beautiful love scenes on TV?'" Following an awkward silence, Max asked: "Oh no, why has this happened? What's just happened here?" "I think he just hung up on us," Hayley responded. Their producer quickly chimed in: "He's disconnected. I think his team hung up on us because they didn't want us to ask that question." However, on Wednesday morning Hayley and Max finally cleared the air with their listeners, revealing that Keith Urban didn't cut the call short after all. To get to the bottom of what really happened, the duo brought in Mix 102.3 FM's content director Stephen Werner, who set the record straight. After praising them for what he called a "great interview" Stephen explained that the call ended simply because they ran out of time with the 'Somebody Like You' singer. "The producers were getting texts, and you guys were having such a great time that you ran out of time," he said. "I don't even know if he (Keith) heard the question." Hayley jumped in: "So are you saying he didn't hang up on us?" "He didn't hang up on you," Stephen confirmed. "He went to another interview." Hayley continued to probe. "Hang on, so are you telling us this has made international news, and it's not even a story because he didn't hang up on us? "Are you saying that Keith doesn't hate us?" "Well, I haven't spoken to him, but I don't think Keith hates anybody, really. He seems like a pretty nice guy," Stephen replied. "So it's just the entire internet that hates us, not Keith," Max said. Urban and Kidman first met at the G'Day USA Gala in January 2005 and tied the knot in June 2006. Now parents to two daughters, Sunday Rose, 16, and Faith Margaret, 14, the couple recently celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary, which Kidman marked with a heartfelt tribute on Instagram. "Happy Anniversary Baby," the Babygirl star wrote alongside a tender black-and-white photo of the pair cuddled up over Urban's guitar.

Keith Urban 'didn't hang up' on racy interview question

Keith Urban has appeared to abruptly end a radio interview after being asked a personal question about his wife Nicole Kidman's intimate career moments, but sources say the singer did not hang up. The Australian country music star was speaking on Mix 102.3 on Tuesday when hosts Max Burford and Hayley Pearson introduced a game called Wall of Truth, and reports claimed after Keith abruptly ended the chat when asked about his wife Nicole Kidman's latest raunchy sex scenes. "Keith did not hang up, period," a source told People. "He doesn't host his Zoom interviews. This is a complete nothing burger." Pearson described the supposedly controversial chat show section that allegedly prompted Urban to hang up as a segment where they ask guests "a very tricky" and "deeply personal" question. Burford began it by asking Urban: "When I was coming up with something to ask you, Keith Urban, if you happen to play this game, the first thing I thought of, with your beautiful wife Nicole Kidman being on so many great movies, TV shows all the time ... I watched a movie with her and Zac Efron recently, A Family Affair." Urban replied politely: "Oh yeah, that's a good one." Burford then asked: "And I thought, 'What does Keith Urban think when he sees his beautiful wife with beautiful younger men like Zac Efron having these beautiful love scenes on TV and radio?'" Shortly after the question, Urban disappeared from the call. Another voice on the show said he'd been "disconnected from Zoom". Burton suggested: "I think his team hung up on us because they didn't want us to ask that question," adding Urban "doesn't like the personal stuff." The source told People that Urban is a "very easygoing" interviewee and was not personally offended by the question. A representative for Urban declined to comment on the incident. Nicole Kidman stars alongside Zac Efron in A Family Affair, released in June 2024. In the film, the actor plays a widowed writer who begins dating Efron's character, a self-absorbed actor employing her daughter as a personal assistant. Kidman told People last year: "It's really helpful when you're doing this sort of work together that you've already got a history together, because it's easy. You're not working to create a history. So I'm not like, 'Can I touch you?' I feel incredibly trusting of Zac." Urban and Kidman married in 2006 and celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary in June.
