Residents of Ranganayakulapeta in Nellore asked to evict their lands
YSRCP leader and MLC Parvathareddy Chandrasekhar Reddy said, 'These people have been living in Ranganayakulapeta rail street area for more than 100 years. The railway officials should not suddenly come and tell them to evict the lands. Muslim minorities and Dalits live in this area. If they are disturbed, there will be no peace.'
According to the Land Acquisition Act of 2013, anyone residing in a government land should not be evicted from their homes without providing proper compensation and rehabilitation. The MLC demanded that a complete investigation should be conducted while compensation and rehabilitation must be provided to all the residents.
He spoke to the district Collector, RDO, and Commissioner regarding the matter. He convinced the authorities and requested them not to forcefully evacuate the residents until they are given an alternative. He assured them that the YSRCP would stand by them.
CPI(M) district secretary M. Ramesh and city secretary Kathi Srinivasulu also visited the area and met the victims. They requested the authorities to give the residents more time to complete construction of their houses and allocate them TIDCO houses. They added that the fight will continue until justice is served.
Minister responds
Meanwhile, MA&UD Minister Ponguru Narayana responded to the issue and spoke to the Collector. He directed the officials not to raze even a single house without providing an alternative. He also suggested to allocate TIDCO houses to those losing their houses.
Mr. Narayana accused the YSRCP leaders of spreading misinformation for political gain and added that injustice will not be done to the residents under any circumstances.

YSRCP state women's wing president criticises alliance for cheating women
Visakhapatnam: YSRCP state women's wing president Varudhu Kalyani criticised the coalition government for taking women for a ride and cheating them in the pretext of free bus scheme 'Stree Shakti' introduced on August 15. Speaking to media here on Saturday, she said the scheme is not a 'super hit' as presented by the alliance leaders but a 'super flop' as it has been tweaked and could be availed by women in five categories alone in the state. 'While there are 16 types of services the scheme could be made applicable, it has been confined to only five types of services. This reflects the cheating nature of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan,' she pointed out. The YSRCP state women's wing president reiterated that the alliance cheated women of the state on the auspicious 'Sravan Sukravaram' (August 15) and it has been once again proved that the Naidu-led government failed to meet election promises. 'If a woman has to visit Tirumala using the scheme, she has to change multiple buses to reach the temple. It shows the inefficiency of the government and its implementation of schemes,' she criticised. Rahul's 'Vote Adhikar Yatra' in Bihar starts today
Rahul Gandhi NEW DELHI/SASARAM: With Bihar gearing up for assembly polls, leader of opposition in LS Rahul Gandhi is all set to launch the 'Vote Adhikar Yatra' from Sasaram in Rohtas district Sunday to highlight the alleged assault on people's voting rights through the special intensive revision (SIR) of the state's electoral rolls and to make the battle against "vote theft" a mass movement. Rahul will be joined in the yatra, spread over 16 days, by members of INDIA bloc parties that are part of the "mahagathbandhan" in Bihar, such as RJD's Tejashwi Yadav. The yatra will culminate with a show of strength at a rally at Patna's Gandhi Maidan on Sept 1. On Saturday, Rahul on X said, "Sixteen days, 20-plus districts, 1,300-plus kilometres.
