Hatsune Miku and Persona 5 Royal collaboration confirmed for August in Colorful Stage event

Sega has confirmed an official crossover between Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage and Persona 5 Royal, set to run from August 4 to 13 2025. The limited-time event will bring a range of new content to the mobile rhythm game, including cosmetics based on characters from Persona 5 Royal.
The collaboration was announced on the official Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage X account on July 28, shortly after a leaked video appeared online showing Hatsune Miku performing a cover of Persona 5's battle theme, 'Life Will Change.' Sega has now formally confirmed the track as part of the event.
During the crossover, players will be able to obtain special gacha items, including limited avatar costumes inspired by Persona 5's Joker and Violet.
Two free items will also be distributed to players who log in during the event period: the 'Morgana Dress-up Costume' and the 'Leblanc Curry Set.'
While this is the first collaboration between Colorful Stage and the Persona series, Hatsune Miku has previously appeared in several other gaming titles, including Persona 4: Dancing All Night, Fortnite, and Monster Hunter.
She has also been featured in non-gaming projects such as official Magic: The Gathering cards and Asus hardware promotions.
Full event details have yet to be released, but Sega has stated that more information will be made available ahead of the launch.

The Dark Knight trends on Twitter after resurfaced rom-com glitch

On June 30, 2025, The Dark Knight began trending on Twitter following the resurfacing of a past incident where the film was mistakenly labeled a romantic comedy due to a platform error. The glitch, which originally occurred in 2021, involved an algorithmic misclassification of genres. At the time, users noted the inaccuracy and shared screenshots, which led to a brief period of viral discussion. The love story and chemistry between Batman and the Joker was what everyone remembers about the classic Rom-Com, The Dark Knight — Russell Varner (@rvarner) June 28, 2021 That moment has now returned to public attention, prompting a new wave of posts, jokes, and commentary even among users who are unaware of the origin. You know we're headed towards the apocalypse when people are saying THE DARK KNIGHT is not good or not even the best Batman movie. Because it is and it is! — Judd Taylor (@JuddTaylor) June 30, 2025 Currently, there is no new release, anniversary, or promotional event linked to the film. The renewed trend appears to be driven purely by the resurfaced mislabel and the conversation it reignited. The Dark Knight, released in 2008 and directed by Christopher Nolan, remains a widely discussed superhero film. While today's trending status is not tied to any developments involving the movie or its cast, the renewed attention reflects how online content can reappear and spark conversation, even years after the original event. This instance highlights how social media trends are sometimes triggered not by current news, but by resurfaced digital content or platform-related anomalies.
