Inside Love Island star Sanam's sun-soaked Ibiza hen do trip ahead of Kai Fagan wedding
Love Island winner Sanam Harrinanan has jetted off to Ibiza with her friends and family for one last rodeo before she marries her reality TV fiancé Kai Fagan. One of only a handful of success stories from the ITV reality dating show, the couple got engaged in April last year.
The 27-year-old social worker has shared details of her hen do on social media, where she's posted regularly from her Spanish getaway. The first day of her trip saw her and her pals dress up in a cowgirl theme, with the stunning bride-to-be wearing a white outfit and her party all in black.
On the second day of her break abroad, the group dressed in a sunset theme, donning bright pink, red and orange colours for their outfits. They could be seen posing in front of palm trees and drinking cocktails as they excitedly celebrate Sanam's upcoming wedding.
Following a life-drawing session, the group toasted Sanam with Love Island themed champagne flutes. Another post showed her asking her followers to rate their drawings, while another saw one of her party fall asleep at a bar table after all the excitement.
Sanam and Kai, both 27, won the second winter series of Love Island in March 2023, with Kai getting down on one knee 13 months later in April last year. The proposal came as a complete shock to Sanam, who believed she was going on a normal date night in Cambridge.
Kai, who is also enjoying his stag do in Barcelona, shared the news of their engagement on Instagram at the time. He wrote: "Introducing the next Mrs Fagan.
"Beautiful, Caring, Loving and Smart are just some of the words that describe you. I love loving you, I love you and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you."
Sanam later updated her TikTok followers with a video, explaining she was told to dress "cute and warm" for their punting boat date night. She said: "So I'm currently about to get ready for a date night with Kai that he has set up that I know nothing about.
"All I know is that I need to dress cute and warm. I'm getting ready in my mum's house, I'm in my old room."
The former reality star, who has since returned to her day job as a social worker, admitted she didn't get many photos and videos of the big moment as it took her by surprise. She explained: "Okay, the biggest thing just happened!
"We don't have many videos of the proposal but I did not expect or see this coming. I honestly thought it was just a random date night that Kai had put together but yeah, I am so shocked and happy!"
After she said yes, the couple went for a romantic meal out together. They returned to a hotel room that was adorned with decorations, including balloons, petals and photos showing some of their best times together.
Sanam added: "Did I just say yes to the cutest guy in the world?" The couple are set to get married next week on August 1.

On Monday, a post on the Instagram account of Bebe's Hive referenced the youngster's 'favourite musical' Wicked with the quote: 'Because I knew you, I have been changed for good.' Bebe's Hive was set up by her family to provide support for grieving children through creativity and connection. The post, which appeared to have been written by Bebe's mother Lauren, referred to her as 'my mini me' and 'her dad's soulmate'. To just be. 'To be able to create something so purposeful, so needed, has given us a strength we didn't know we had. A reason. A focus. 'We love and thank every single person who has helped us carry this. 'I feel her with me every day and that feeling is what keeps us going. 'Her light, her care, her spark – it lives on, and we'll continue it for as long as we can. 'To our amazing community – I don't think you realise what you've done. To everyone further, we also thank you from the bottom of our hearts. 'Your kindness has saved us. 'To Elsie and Alice, we never had the chance to meet you, but we feel like we know you. Your light shines so brightly through your parents, and we're proud to walk alongside them.' In a reference to the Taylor Swift song Bejeweled, the post went on to say: 'Our girls' energy will continue to shimmer. 'And to every brave child, every adult, every family whose lives were changed forever that day – we see you and we're sending you so much love.' A video of Bebe dancing and playing with a bubble machine accompanied the caption, along with photos of her. Sefton Council has asked people not to lay flowers to mark the anniversary of the attack but instead to consider donating to causes including Bebe's Hive, as well as Elsie's Story and Alice's Wonderdance, which were set up in the victim's memories. A three-minute silence will be held in the town at 3pm on Tuesday.

Outlander star drops cryptic hint at future of gripping ITV crime drama away from Starz
Karen Pirie is back on ITV and has been given a major promotion - but will the crime drama return for a third season? Outlander sensation Lauren Lyle has spoken out about the prospects of her other successful show, ITV's crime series Karen Pirie, following its well-received second season. At 32, Lyle, who is widely recognised for her role as Marsali Fraser alongside Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe in the popular Starz series, first stepped into the shoes of Val McDermid's famed detective in 2022. Fast forward three years, and the acclaimed crime drama has returned with a vengeance, featuring Pirie's rise to Detective Inspector and her investigation into a spine-tingling cold case from the 1980s. After drawing on McDermid's initial two novels, The Distant Echo and A Darker Domain, Lyle teased the possibility of more adaptations during her appearance on Sunday Brunch. the Scottish Daily Express. To which Lauren responded affirmatively: "Yeah, well Val McDermid, who wrote the books, who's dubbed the Queen of Crime, I believe, she's written, I think, the eighth book or something?" As it stands, there are seven published novels in the Karen Pirie series, with Past Lying being the most recent in 2023. The forthcoming instalment, Silent Bones, is set to be released this October. Lyle also mentioned: "I did the voiceover for the audiobook," and added, "I mean, the production company has said 'Lauren could be doing this into her 40s', so maybe so." She concluded with optimism: "I think everyone wants to see it go." While ITV has yet to officially announce a third season for Karen Pirie, the strong ratings and positive critical reception indicate that the show's fanbase is continuing to grow. The broadcaster took roughly four months following the debut of the first series to greenlight the show's return, meaning viewers will probably need to be patient a bit longer for official confirmation of a third instalment. Simon Rimmer interjected, "Because it's such a great character..." with Lovejoy nodding in agreement: "It is really good, yeah. "I think the humour and her, and the bumbag, sets her apart," Lauren elaborated. "Whenever anyone says it's a crime detective show, I'm kind of like... everyone who watches it goes 'Oh my God, it's not that at all'. "You sort of fall in love with this woman and her life, her boyfriend and her personal life. "And then it's not just the case. And with the case you get such a deep insight into their lives, the 80s. You flash back and see the whole of the 80s." After another gripping episode last Sunday, viewers have just one final episode to anticipate this week before Pirie's current cold case reaches its conclusion. Following that, there are hopes the ITV series will bring McDermid's third novel in the collection, The Skeleton Road, to the small screen. Karen Pirie season 2 concludes Sunday, 3rd August on ITV and ITVX.
