The 45-second trick to get a snatched waist for summer that Love Island star swears by as people hail it ‘new life hack'

It's a common condition that leaves your body feeling tight, stretched, and swollen - and your clothes feeling uncomfortable. Water retention, constipation, stress and Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) can all trigger it too. You might avoid triggers the best you can, but sometimes bloating can feel inescapable. However, there is a treatment celebrities absolutely swear by to reduce it - lymphatic drainage. Lymphatic drainage is a non-invasive treatment that's particularly popular in Brazil. It's a lot like a gentle therapeutic massage and used to alleviate digestive issues, hormonal imbalance, and reduce cellulite. Lymphatic drainage involves massaging inflamed areas with the fingertips in a clockwise motion to stimulate the lymph nodes. And Love Island star Mal Nicol has revealed she swore by the technique on the show to look bikini-ready at all times. in a TikTok video demonstating the technique, she said: "I genuinely did this, but I didn't know this was lymphatic drainage. "I've always done it. Like, any time my belly's out, any time I've ever felt a bit bloated, I would put a bit of cream on so it's a bit glidy [and massage my stomach]. "I remember doing it in the villa when I was in my bikini. "It's really gross. I do it both ways. I always end it this way, clockwise. "It's very weird, but yeah, have a go this summer." Mal's clip - captioned "burping my way to a flat tummy hahahahahh" - went viral with more than 1.6million views. And social media users are loving her simple hack. "Ur so real for this babe", one gushed. A second insisted: "It acc helps so much." 4 Mal says she used the technique in the Love Island villa Credit: ITV 4 She demonstrated the hack in a quick video Credit: Tiktok/@mallurpaal A third echoed: "Crying, this is my new life hack now." "Brb, burping myself rn", joked a fourth. A fifth added: "Why is this so funny but such a good to know hack." Meanwhile, a sixth said: "Love thissss, my new routine." What are the after effects of lymphatic drainage? Lymphatic drainage has physical, and mental benefits. The treatment reduces swelling around the target area, but it can also leave you feeling calmer, energised and more focused. Physiotherapist and lymphatic drainage expert, Flavia Morellato, has worked her wonders on Maya Jama, as well as supermodel Lottie Moss, presenters Rochelle Humes, Vogue Williams, and singers Ellie Goulding and Anne-Marie. She explains: 'After treatment, reduced bloating or constipation are the main benefits, and it helps settle IBS flare-ups. 'You feel lighter, flatter and less bloated. 'But it also helps with brain fog, memory, and improves your mental health, as some feel more energised, with greater focus and concentration. "But, it depends on each individual.' When is the best time to have lymphatic drainage? 'There is no best treatment time,' says Flavia. 'Lymphatic treatments are recommended to flush out toxins and excess water retention from progesterone (PMS), but it is beneficial after a period to help with body detoxification.' While the effects of lymphatic drainage can be noticeable immediately, they can also last for up to ten days post treatment, depending on your metabolism and lifestyle, which is why Flavia recommends MLD every ten days.

I'm a mum-of-four & here's the '10/10′ free day out I swear by for summer holidays – it's so fun & 20 mins from Glasgow

Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) A SAVVY mum has revealed the "10 out of 10" day out that she swears by to keep the kids amused during the summer holidays - and it's free. Lisa, from Scotland, regularly shares parenting tips, travel suggestions and a glimpse into her family life on TikTok (@twinniesandtwo). And she recommends a "wholesome family day" at the National Museum of Rural Life in East Kilbride, just 20 minutes away from Glasgow. In a recent video documenting the "10/10 day out", Lisa said: "From the kids' explorer section with colouring-in and dress-up fun, to meeting the pigs, horses, cows and chickens at the farmhouse – it was a perfect day out for our family of six." The mum used her National Trust of Scotland membership card to gain free entry to the museum itself. But don't worry if you don't have one, the play park and animal enclosures are still completely free outdoors. And the visitor attraction is open from 10am until 5pm, allowing for a full day out with the family. Lisa said: "We headed round and we just had a wee explore of the inside bit [at the museum] and there's a wee kids bit now which I don't remember being there the last time at all and I think there's been quite a few things added. "Obviously there's the museum part where you can see the tractors and everything to do with agriculture and mine are all the age where they like looking but they're not gonna stop and read anything. "I do try but they're just not really that interested. There's a cafe [and] a little explorers room which the kids absolutely loved and there's wee dress up stuff." She continued: "Then we went out had a play in the play park and then we had a go on the tractor. School banned my daughter, 12, from 'diversity day' for wearing Union Jack dress - the reason was ridiculous "We headed up to the little farm area where you can see pigs and piglets and chickens and cows and the kids loved that bit. "Then there was a farmhouse that you could explore which the kids actually really enjoyed. "I thought they wouldn't really care but they actually enjoyed it. "They had a good wee look around everything. They moaned about how it smelled but I mean it was just that old house smell and it was a bit hot and clammy to be fair. 6 Cute piglets have recently been born at the visitor attraction Credit: Tiktok/@twinniesandtwo 6 Children can also play garden detective Credit: Tiktok/@twinniesandtwo "There was also a bit of dress up in here as well which we took full advantage of. "Finished off the day with a roll down the hill." Other mums were left just as impressed by the day out, as one gushed: "Looks so good." A second wrote: "This looks like an amazing day out." Meanwhile, a third said: "We love it there!"

Birmingham's journey under an American consortium, which includes seven-times Super Bowl champion Brady, who owns a minority stake, has not been such plain sailing as they were relegated to the third tier shortly after the takeover.
