BTS' RM and V officially discharged from military service, celebrate on livestream ahead of Festa 2025
BTS members RM (Kim Namjoon) and V (Kim Taehyung) were officially discharged from their military service on June 10, 2025, and they celebrated the occasion by meeting fans in Chuncheon, South Korea.
The duo attended a special event at the Sports Park in Sinbuk-eup, where they were warmly welcomed by ARMYs, who released celebratory balloons to mark the momentous return.
RM served as part of the 15th Division's military band, while V was assigned to the Special Task Force under the Army's 2nd Corps Military Police. After the event in Chuncheon, the two members connected with fans through a livestream, their first in over 1.5 years.
During the livestream on Weverse, RM and V shared insights into their military experiences, with V joking about his physical transformation: 'I've transformed into a murderous weapon,' while RM remarked, 'The military really changed you.' V also mentioned his daily routine, including working out six times a week.
The livestream took an exciting turn when Jin made a surprise appearance, wearing a ribbon and joking with RM and V about their new physiques. Additionally, J-Hope gave fans a sneak peek of the celebrations, sharing a behind-the-scenes glimpse on Instagram.
