WWE SummerSlam will be the second two-day premier summer pay-per-view event of the WWE in 2025, after WrestleMania 41 and will be held in New Jersey.
The WWE SummerSlam 2025 will be the 38th edition of WWE's premier summer pay-per-view event, marking the first-ever two-night SummerSlam, which will air live for global audiences on August 2 and 3 from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Excitement has soared to new heights ever since WWE announced its match card for the premier event, which continues the tradition of major WWE events being held on American shores.
The WWE SummerSlam 2025 will boast top wrestlers from Raw and SmackDown brands entering the ring, with some eye-catching titles up for grabs. One of the biggest events of the night will be the legendary John Cena's WWE Undisputed Championship match against Cody Rhodes. Everyone is anticipating it to be a colossal Street Fight, where tempers may flare and fortunes could shift back and forth.
Cena had snatched the title from Rhodes in controversial fashion at the Showcase of the Immortals before fending off competition from Randy Orton at WWE Backlash and CM Punk at WWE Night of Champions. While Cena's passionate fans would want him to keep his prized possession with him, Rhodes is expected to give his mighty opponent a tough time in the middle.
Also at the marquee event, we will witness Roman Reigns' WWE comeback peak when he joins hands with Jey Uso for a Tag Team tussle with Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. The SummerSlam won't end there, however, as a World Heavyweight Championship bout between CM Punk and Gunther will also grab attention. Another thrilling tag team face-off could be the Randy Orton-Jelly Roll pair's match against Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul.
The SummerSlam 2025 will also feature multiple interesting women's encounters in New Jersey. Tiffany Stratton and Jade Cargill will battle it out for the WWE Women's Championship, while Naomi, Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY will take on each other in a triple-threat Women's World Championship, along with other exciting games.
