Starbucks has shaken up its menu just in time for the summer season, introducing a trio of dessert-inspired beverages and a popular drink from across the pond.
The coffee chain, which has been brewing since the 1970s, unveiled a fresh range of drinks yesterday (April 24). The new offerings are available to Rewards members now, while non-reward members can sample the updated menu from May 1.
Prices vary from £2.90 to £5.40, with a few surprises thrown into the mix. However, opinions on the new beverages are divided.
Drawing inspiration from the classic Italian dessert, Starbucks is adding three Tiramisu-themed drinks to its menu, promising to bring an "bringing an innovative twist" to a trending summer favourite.
The new additions include the Tiramisu Cream Iced Latte, Tiramisu Cream Iced Oat Shaken Espresso, and Tiramisu Frappuccino blended beverage. From May 1, customers can also enjoy two new Starbucks Refresha drinks for the "ultimate cooling sip this summer".
The Melon Pearl Starbucks Refresha drink, which has been a hit in the US, is making its debut on the UK menu. For those seeking a more tropical vibe, the Frozen Mango Dragonfruit Starbucks Refresha drink, blended with ice, offers the perfect frosty treat to chill out and unwind under the summer sun.
With summer on the horizon, Starbucks is also offering its customers new plant-based lunch options to enjoy alongside their warmer-weather beverages. The menu now includes a Mexican Style Three Bean Wrap and popular bakery items like the Boston Cream Muffin and Raspberry and Coconut Loaf Cake, perfect for those leisurely summer snack breaks outdoors.
The announcement of Starbucks' updated menu quickly spread after being featured on the food enthusiast Instagram page New Foods UK, drawing plenty of reactions from followers. @newfoodsuk excitedly posted: "Wow! New drinks spotted on the @starbucksuk app this morning!".
One follower exclaimed "Omg," clearly thrilled by the news, while another expressed an interest: "Need those oat shaken ones," Another suggested a social meetup: "Coffee date soon? ," tagging their companion in anticipation. Someone else seemed intrigued by one particular item, saying: "The melon pearl Refresha looks yummy!".

However, not all customers were swept up by the new offerings. One sceptically remarked: "Not once have I thought I would like to have a dessert blended with coffee."
Another was taken aback by the cost, quipping: "£5.45 each".
Health-conscious voices also emerged, with one person expressing disappointment at the calorie count: "I'm a little disappointed that the Tiramisu Oat Shaken is four times the calories of the normal one."
This sentiment was echoed by another customer, who wrote: "Put calories next to these images and that's it... it's a NO GO".
To discover whether these items are available at a Starbucks near you, simply use the Starbucks UK app or visit the Starbucks Store Locator online and apply the 'Mobile Order and Pay' filter.

Royal Mint most valuable 50p coins as 10 rarest 50p revealed
We are all being urged to check our change for these valuable coins which, in some cases, are being sold for more than 400 times their face value on online auction sites such as eBay. The famous Kew Gardens 50p was recently knocked off the top spot of rarest 50p coins in the UK when the Royal Mint released the Atlantic Salmon coin. This coin was released with a mintage of just 200,000, the Royal Mint said, narrowly beating the Kew Gardens 50p which had a mintage of 210,000. Other rare designs include Olympic-themed 50ps minted in 2011. Since moving to pounds and pence in 1971, more than 70 variations of the 50p coin have been minted, including several rare designs which could be worth a lot more than 50p. The Royal Mint recently named the Atlantic Salmon 50p as the coin as the rarest currently in circulation in the UK, with just 200,000 copies minted. The coin knocked the 'highly collectable' 2009 Kew Gardens 50p off the top spot for the first time in 15 years, the official maker of British coins said. The Kew Gardens 50p sells for £156.25 on average, but one seller received over £700 for one when they sold it on eBay. The other rarest coins stem predominantly from the 2011 Olympics, with the wrestling, football and judo coins among the most valuable. Only 1.1million of each of these coins were produced. Flopsy bunny and Peter Rabbit designs which were produced in 2018 are also highly valuable. Royal Mint reveals the rarest Queen Elizabeth II coins in circulation These coins - 1.4 million of which were minted - depict the characters from Beatrix Potter's novels and celebrate the life of the English writer and these sell for around £5. In 2019, 500 million coins were produced, with three new 50p designs. These included one of Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes, Paddington Bear at St Paul's Cathedral and the Tower of London. The 50 pence piece has become the most valued and collected coin in the UK, with many collectable designs appearing on its heptagonal canvas. Its 27.5mm diameter makes it the largest of any British coin, and allows space for decorative pictures. It has often been used to celebrate big events over the past 50 years of British history. The rarest coins tend to be of the greatest value, with the mintage (number of coins with each design made) being the fundamental attraction for collectors. Along with the design, other aspects of the coin which increase value are the condition of the coin and whether it has an error in its design. The way in which it is sold can also determine the coin's value - while some coin collectors will bid vast amounts of money on eBay or at auction, others opt for more robust valuations by selling via a coin dealer. Here is a list of the top 10 most valuable coins, when they were made and how many were minted:

One-Year Delay Casts Doubt on the Future of Alfa Romeo's Key Model
The Italian marque has had a lackluster 2024. A better, newer lineup is in order, but reports have pointed out a delay by almost a year. Aging Lineup Hurting Italian Marque Alfa Romeo didn't have much luck in 2024. The historic Italian marque only sold 8,865 vehicles in the U.S. for the entire year. That lackluster sales figure isn't limited to America alone. Globally, Alfa Romeo sold only 62,000 units – significantly short of the company's target of 80,000 to 90,000 vehicles. Needless to say, the Turin-based automaker needs a newer lineup to sell more automobiles. Yes, it introduced some special edition models earlier this year to entice buyers, but there's no escaping from the fact that its lineup is aging, particularly its most important model, the Stelvio SUV. Previous Pause Next Unmute 0:00 / 0:00 Full screen Stelvio Delay Highlights Alfa Romeo's Struggling Sales We say most important because the truth is, the Stelvio was introduced to the lineup in hopes of jacking up Alfa Romeo's sales, just like how the Cayenne saved Porsche before. And it did – the Stelvio was a runaway success when it was introduced, but the reality is this has become an aging nameplate. The Stelvio was shown in 2016, so at this point, the SUV is nearing its tenth year. There were plans for a next-generation model, which was scheduled to be revealed by the end of 2025 for the 2026 model year. However, recent reports reveal that Alfa Romeo has had to delay its launch, not by months but by an entire year. According to Reuters, the delay is due to fluctuating trends in the industry, particularly the dwindling demand for EVs. Originally an EV, the Next Stelvio Will Now Be a Hybrid Alfa Romeo initially planned to produce an all-electric Stelvio atop Stellantis' STLA Large platform, which underpins several models, including the Dodge Charger Daytona EV. However, the automaker's plans have changed, opting to go the hybrid route instead of just full-electric models. Despite the STLA Large platform having the capacity for a hybrid setup, the integration needs further development, prompting the recent delay. Of note, the target launch for the next Stelvio is now September or October 2026. Giulia Redesign Still on Track Despite SUV Setback Thankfully, the delay in the Stelvio's development isn't affecting the next-generation Giulia, which is set for launch also in 2026. However, Alfa's issues with the SUV hinder Stellantis' broader effort to revive Italian automotive production and preserve jobs, a strategy presented to the Italian government in late 2024.
