Hundreds of vehicles to feature at Retro Truck Show

Hundreds of modern and classic trucks will be on display at the Retro Truck Show next month. The event will take place at the British Motor Museum in Gaydon, just over the Oxfordshire border, near Banbury, on September 6 and 7, and will feature more than 300 vehicles from across Europe. Now in its 15th year, the show highlights trucks built between 1971 and 2001, including models from Volvo, Scania, DAF, Foden, and ERF. Tom Caren, show manager at the British Motor Museum, said: "This show is one of our most popular and a great weekend out for owners, drivers, enthusiasts, and the public. The Retro Truck Show (Image: British Motor Museum) "It's a wonderful spectacle to see the trucks lined up in rows and a fantastic opportunity to admire them up close." The event is open to all trucks from the eligible years, with a £30 fee to exhibit. Visitors can enjoy an indoor model show, trade stands, and a selection of food and refreshments, including burgers, ice cream, and hot meals from the museum's Junction 12 Café. Camping is available on Friday and Saturday nights for £26 per pitch per night for two adults, and exhibitors can camp in their vehicles for free. Advance tickets are priced at £17 for adults, £9 for children, £15 for concessions, and £46 for a family of four. Entry includes access to the museum and collections centre and visitors can convert their ticket to an annual pass at no extra cost.
