Let's get one thing out of the way- Aerosmith is no more.
In August 2024, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers cancelled the remainder of their postponed 'Peace Out Farewell Tour' and officially called it quits after Steven Tyler suffered vocal cord damage.
'[Tyler] has spent months tirelessly working on getting his voice to where it was before his injury,' the band shared via Instagram. 'We've seen him struggling despite having the best medical team by his side. Sadly, it is clear, that a full recovery from his vocal injury is not possible. We have made a heartbreaking and difficult, but necessary, decision – as a band of brothers – to retire from the touring stage.'
Since that tough call was made, the classic rockers have stayed true to their word and haven't played a show in the last nine months.
Still, that hasn't stopped guitarist Joe Perry.
The legendary axeman recently announced his group, The Joe Perry Project, is embarking on an eight-concert tour this August.
That includes a stop at Port Chester, NY's Capitol Theatre on Saturday, Aug. 23.
At all shows, Perry, 74, will be joined by Aerosmith bandmates Brad Whitford and Buck Johnson, The Black Crowes' Chris Robinson and Stone Temple Pilots members Robert DeLeo and Eric Krentz.
'Well … it's time to let the music do the talkin' again,' Perry said in a statement. 'I'm really excited about the JPP line up this year…The set list is gonna include my fav JPP cuts, STP, Black Crowes, and with Brad we'll be hitting the Aero hits and some deep cuts and then ya never know!!!! Gonna be a BLAST, and if you've ever been to one of my shows you know the words 'GARAGE BAND on STEROIDS' come to mind! See you there!!!!'
If you want to see the supergroup garage band live, tickets are available as of today.
At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on seats for any one show was $66 before fees on Vivid Seats.

Joe Perry new music
In May 2023, Joe Perry dropped his seventh studio album 'Sweetzerland Manifesto MKII.'
The ten-track record — which features classic rock stalwarts like Cheap Trick's Robin Zander, Extreme's Gary Cherone and New York Dolls' David Johansen on vocals — is a high-octane blast of good, old-fashioned barroom rock and roll.
Highlights here include the propulsive, bluesy 'Fortunate One' (with Chris Robinson on vocals), the epic anthem 'Quake' and ferocious yet twinkly 'Aye Aye Aye' that sound like they could have been recorded at the height of Perry's heyday.
Don't skip out early either. The last track 'Won't Let Me Go' is a hard-charging closer that'll rev you up one last time.
Want to give the record a spin? You can find 'Sweetzerland Manifesto MKII' here (also, Perry's gutsy 2018 'Sweetzerland Manifesto' ain't half bad either if you want to dig deeper).
The Joe Perry Project origin
Perry launched his side group The Joe Perry Project — he's also in The Hollywood Vampires with Alice Cooper and Johnny Depp too (!) — way back in 1979 after he took a break from performing with Aerosmith.
If you're looking to familiarize yourself with their catalog, we recommend starting here.
The Joe Perry Project band members
On the road, Perry will be joined by five seasoned rockers. For a closer look at who's who, here's what they'll be playing onstage:
Buck Johnson (Aerosmith) keyboards and backup vocals
Brad Whitford (Aerosmith) guitar
Chris Robinson (The Black Crowes) lead vocals
Robert DeLeo (Stone Temple Pilots) bass
Eric Kretz (Stone Temple Pilots) drums

Katy Perry fan arrested, stormed on stage during ‘The Lifetimes Tour'

(NewsNation) — A man has been arrested and charged after storming the stage during Katy Perry's Sydney, Australia leg of 'The Lifetimes Tour.' During Perry's performance of her hit 'Hot N Cold,' a fan climbed up on stage before being detained by security. Burwood Police Area Command said he has been charged with two offenses. Sabrina Carpenter announces new album 'Man's Best Friend' The man was reportedly released on bail and is scheduled for court on June 23. He is also banned for six months from the Sydney Olympic Park precinct. In videos taken by crowd members, an unnamed man is seen running toward Perry as she is taking the mic off its stand. Perry was visually caught off guard and swerved to dodge the man's arm on her shoulder. She still continued her performance, screaming, 'Well, there's never going to be another show like this, Sydney, so just enjoy it!' She can also be heard screaming, 'What the hell is going on?' to the audience. King Charles, Prince William expected at Trooping the Colour; no Harry Two security guards eventually chase the man offstage, with another staff member walking closely behind. Fans reacted to the viral video on social media, with some saying Perry 'handled it well' and others criticizing her for reacting in the way that she did. Another fan criticized security, saying, 'omg that's not okay — why didn't the security do something BEFORE???? i mean katy handled it professionally and didn't panic, true performer behavior.' It has definitely not been an easy year for the pop star. One source told NewsNation's Paula Froelich in May that her Las Vegas residency had been called a 'complete failure.' R. Kelly attorney wants singer moved to home detention 'There was a bidding war between Resorts World and Caesars … and Caesars technically lost out — but in the end, Caesars won,' a source said. 'The residency was a disaster for Resorts World, a complete failure.' The source also claimed that Perry was being paid 'between $750,000 and $900,000 a show because of the bidding war,' but she 'underperformed and Resorts World lost money.' Perry does have one show scheduled for Vegas during this tour, but it isn't a full residency. On top of her failed album last year, she was also recently the center of ridicule after the Blue Origin space flight. Her current tour has also had lagging sales. After the flight, the singer faced backlash because she spent most of her three minutes looking into the camera instead of out the window at Earth. She showed a daisy for her daughter and then the setlist for The Lifetimes Tour. Perry was slammed on X by regular users and celebrities. Actress Olivia Munn criticized the space mission before its launch, saying, 'I know that this is probably obnoxious – but like, it's so much money to go to space. You know, there's a lot of people that can't even afford eggs.' Even the fast-food chain Wendy's talked about Perry, commenting on a picture of her kissing the ground, saying, 'Can we send her back.' Man arrested and charged after storming the stage at a Katy Perry concert

A man has been arrested and charged after storming the stage at a Katy Perry concert. The American singer, 40, was perfroming at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney as part of her The Lifetimes World Tour on Monday when the incident occured. Footage circulated online captured the moment that Johnson Wen – known online as Pyjama Man – crashed her rendition of 2008 hit, Hot N Cold. Wen could be seen running up to her and grabbing her shoulder, while excitedly jumping up and down, before he was then escorted off stage. For her part Perry - who is engaged to 48-year-old British actor Orlando Bloom - looked furious. She then told the confused crowd: 'Well, there's never going to be another show like this, so just enjoy it, Sydney.' Adding: 'What the hell is going on?' According to 9News, he was arrested after the incident, and taken to Auburn Police Station. Wen was eventually charged with entering enclosed lands, as well as obstructing a person in the performance of their work or duty. After being granted conditional bail, he was issued with a six-month ban from entering the Sydney Olympic Park Precinct, and is due to appear at Burwood Local Court on June 23. Speaking to the Australian news outlet afterwards, Wen claimed his stage invasion had been for fun and went on to recall how Perry had 'freaked out' when she saw him. 'I said, 'Let me get on stage with you', then she freaked out because she realised I wasn't a performer,' he explained. 'I was about to do like extra Fortnite moves but security got there too quick.' This isn't the first time that Wen has done something like this. He was previously banned from the Olympic Park for crashing the Weeknd's concert, and also invaded arenas at the Olympics, the Women's World Cup and the Cricket World Cup final. Wen has now vowed to mend his ways, adding: 'I'm planning to quit forever because you get in way too much trouble for it. Especially me, because I've done it so many times.'

Katy Perry & Orlando Bloom Reportedly ‘Over' as Her ‘Deep Frustration' Caused ‘Tension' in Their Relationship

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom may never walk down the aisle. The couple, who started dating in January 2016, got engaged on Valentine's Day 2019. However, more than six years later, they still haven't set a wedding date, and that day may never come. 'They have been spending more and more time apart,' a source told Us Weekly in June 2025. 'They've grown apart and aren't living the same lives anymore.' Another insider noted that Perry and Bloom's relationship issues aren't news to those around them. 'It's an unspoken thing that they are having issues and have for a while now,' the source said. 'Everyone around them knows.' Related: See Katy Perry's full dating history While Perry and Bloom's inner circles are aware of their relationship problems, the second source claimed that Bloom is still trying to keep their issues 'close to the vest' as he's been 'out and about more often' without Perry. 'Katy has been very busy working, and they are apart often,' the insider said. 'That has caused tension.' Another source of tension has been Perry's procrastination in setting a wedding date. '[They] never set a date for the wedding or got around to planning anything and Orlando is 'over it,'' the second insider said. A third source added, 'Things aren't good.' A source also told People in June 2025 that the negative reception of Perry's newest album, 143, which came out in September 2024, was also a source of 'tension' for the couple. 'Katy was deeply frustrated following the reception of her new album,' the insider said. 'It made her very stressed. Orlando was understanding, but it did cause some tension.' A second source also claimed that the reception of Perry's Lifetimes world tour, which she's currently on, also added 'stress' to their relationship.' She was also disappointed in some of the tour reviews. It's put stress on their relationship,' the insider said. Despite reports that they're still trying to make their relationship work, a source told Page Six that the couple are just waiting for Perry's tour to be done to officially call it quits. 'It's over,' the insider said. 'They are waiting 'til her tour is over before they split.' Perry's Lifetimes world tour, which started in April 2025, it set to end on December 7. Before her relationship with Bloom, Perry was married to comedian Russell Brand from 2010 to 2012. Bloom, for his part, was married to model Miranda Kerr from 2010 to 2013. The two share son Christopher Blanchard Copeland, who was born in 2011. Perry and Bloom welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Daisy Dove Bloom, in 2020. While Perry and Bloom's relationship seems to be on the rocks, they still seem to be supporting each other by 'liking' each other's social media posts. Bloom also supported Perry when she traveled to space on the Blue Origin Rocket with an all-female crew, including Gayle King and Lauren Sanchez in April 2025.
