
‘Stranger Things 5' trailer teases epic final battle as Vecna returns
The trailer opens with eerie glimpses of chaos as the town of Hawkins falls under military lockdown. The stakes are higher than ever as Vecna resurfaces, preparing for an apocalyptic battle. 'Hawkins is scarred by the opening of the Rifts,' the synopsis reads, 'and our heroes are united by a single goal: find and kill Vecna.'
But Vecna has vanished. Meanwhile, Eleven is once again forced into hiding as government forces close in. As the anniversary of Will Byers' original disappearance approaches, an ominous sense of dread spreads across the town. 'To end this nightmare,' the trailer warns, 'they'll need everyone, the full party, standing together, one last time.'
Season 5 will be released in three parts: Volume 1 arrives Nov. 26, Volume 2 on Dec. 25, and the series finale on Dec. 31, each dropping at 5 PM PT.
The full main cast returns: Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Maya Hawke, Joe Keery, and Jamie Campbell Bower. New cast members include Nell Fisher, Jake Connelly, Alex Breaux, and Terminator icon Linda Hamilton in a mysterious new role.
With heart, horror, and high stakes, Stranger Things promises to go out with a bang. This will be the last trip to Hawkins, and it's all building to one final, unforgettable showdown.
