Lindsay Lohan Explains Why She Feels Safe In Dubai
As you might know, Lindsay skyrocketed to fame when she was just 12 years old in Disney's The Parent Trap. She became a teen icon thanks to her natural acting ability, likable personality, and signature orange hair, appearing in movies like Freaky Friday, Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, and the now-cult-classic Mean Girls. But as her fame grew, so did public scrutiny.
Paparazzi followed Lindsay everywhere and tabloids documented her every move, from clubbing and dating to missteps like legal woes — and eventually, it became too much. In 2014, Lindsay decided to make the move to Dubai, where she now resides with her husband, Bader Shammas, and their 2-year-old son, Luai.
In a recent appearance on LIVE with Kelly and Mark, Lindsay opened up about the "very normal life" she now has after leaving the states for the UAE. Of Dubai, she said, "It's far away from Hollywood. And I live a very normal life. There's no worry of like, I can't go eat at this place because someone's gonna take a picture of my son. It's just...I feel very safe."
Confirming the paparazzi is "not legal" there, Lindsay explained, "You can't even take a picture of someone else if you're at a restaurant. You have to ask the person."
Viewers couldn't help but notice how radiant and refreshed Lindsay looked in the interview and how fulfilled she appeared while discussing her life in Dubai. Commenting under the video, one person wrote, "She disappeared and came back STUNNING!! So happy for her. She looks healthy." Another comment, with over 200,000 likes, said, "She healed because she left America. It makes sense now."
"Good for her!" a third viewer exclaimed. "She is living her best life! I love that. She said it's far away from Hollywood lol." While another said, "She is literally glowing and I love this for her."
A different person said, "Lindsay's glow up must be studied," as another viewer called it "the best glow up story" they've ever seen.
Some also took a moment to discuss the cruel treatment Lindsay faced, particularly from invasive paparazzi. One person even declared they should be outlawed everywhere. "Taking pictures of strangers in public should be illegal anywhere. It's very odd!" read the comment, receiving over 65,000 likes. Another agreed, "Paparazzi should be criminalized. Leave famous people alone."
And of course, because the internet is the internet, there was also some side-eye for Mark Consuelos for awkwardly steering the conversation away from her life in Dubai to ask Lindsay, a New York native, a question about pizza. "Dude heard she got away from 'Hollweird' and asked if she found pizza," one user wrote as another joked, "'I'm safe now' — 'Do you have good pizza?' What?????"

STAR WARS Is Heading Back to Theaters for Its 50th Anniversary Celebration — GeekTyrant
It's hard to believe, but Star Wars is about to turn 50 years old, and how is the galaxy far, far away planning to celebrate this massive milestone? By heading back to where it all began… the big screen. Disney just announced that George Lucas' original Star Wars will be re-released in theaters on April 30, 2027, giving fans a chance to experience the iconic space adventure the way it was meant to be seen. While the official anniversary lands on May 25, 2027, Disney is dropping the re-release a little early because that weekend is already locked in for the debut of a brand-new film, Star Wars: Starfighter , starring Ryan Gosling. This theatrical return comes hot on the heels of Star Wars Celebration Los Angeles, which runs from April 1 to 4, 2027. With all eyes on the franchise during that time, you can bet Lucasfilm will lean in hard on promoting the return of the original film. There's even a chance we'll see some of the original cast and crew reunite during the celebration. The big mystery right now is what version of Star Wars fans will get. Will it be the 1997 Special Edition, the version George Lucas considers definitive, complete with added scenes and updated visual effects? That's the safe bet. But there's a growing glimmer of hope among die-hard fans. Just last month, Kathleen Kennedy attended a rare screening of an untouched original print of Star Wars , not even labeled as Episode IV: A New Hope . That screening has fans wondering if Lucasfilm is gearing up for something even more special. Maybe they're cooking up a new restoration of the unaltered theatrical version. Or even a version that fuses the best elements from both cuts. Whatever it is, if Lucasfilm drops the original, unedited classic, it'll be the holy grail moment fans have been dreaming of. The 1977 classic tells the story of a farm boy named Luke Skywalker, played by Mark Hamill, who gets swept into a galaxy-wide rebellion with Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher), Obi-Wan Kenobi (Alec Guinness), and the roguish Han Solo (Harrison Ford). It changed cinema forever and kicked off a cultural phenomenon that includes sequels, prequels, spinoffs, shows, novels, comics, and a mountain of collectibles. So, get ready to relive the magic. Whether it's the original theatrical cut or the Special Edition, Star Wars returning to theaters in 2027 is going to be a fun event for longtime fans and a perfect introduction for a new generation.

Lindsay Lohan Wants to Do 'Some More Serious, Dramatic Roles' After ‘Freakier Friday'
Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis are back together, 22 years after starring in beloved comedy Freaky Friday. Freakier Friday reunites the duo as mother and daughter Tess and Anna Coleman, who swapped bodies in the original film and, in the sequel, discover that lightning may indeed strike twice. More from The Hollywood Reporter 'Parent Trap' Stars Lindsay Lohan, Lisa Ann Walter, Elaine Hendrix Reunite at 'Freakier Friday' Premiere Joseph Quinn Wants a Marvel Team-Up With Tom Holland: "He's Our Best-Ever Spider-Man" 'The Summer I Turned Pretty' Stars Weigh in on Show's Bullying Ban: "People Can Take It Too Far" At Freakier Friday's L.A. premiere on Tuesday, Lohan told The Hollywood Reporter that the follow-up movie is 'bigger, we have more stories to tell. It's a four-way swap and there's more music and there's a lot more physical comedy than the first one, which I love. Any moment that I can pull a Lucile Ball, I'm down for it.' Lohan and Curtis have remained close friends since they worked together two decades ago, as Lohan explained, 'She was there for me at a time of my life when my mom was busy with my siblings, and she was kind of like another mother figure to me out here in L.A. That's kept us pretty tight-knit over time, and we've always just been in contact.' Curtis added that in working with the 15-year-old Lohan in the first film, 'I said to her from day one, 'I want nothing from you except your own peace and serenity. And I am safe, I'm a home base; I don't want anything, I'm not going to ask you to come to anything.'' She continued, 'I don't want her to feel transactional with me, I want her to feel love.' The film is a return to the big screen for Lohan, who has marked her Hollywood comeback with a series of Netflix films over the past few years. Looking forward, the star said she's 'doing a TV show with Hulu that I'm really excited about and I'd like to take on some more serious, dramatic roles. And I love doing romantic comedy because that's where my home is and I feel like where my fans want to see me, but I'd like to take on some things that are different; maybe find something that's an action-packed film. Just really show people a different side of me.' Also returning for the sequel is love interest Chad Michael Murray, who joked of Curtis and Lohan, 'I'll ride those girls' coattails anytime. I came in, and you never know what to expect, you're sitting there going, 'Oh God, let's not screw it up.' You're going to make a sequel and I hate to say it but it's as good, if not better — they delivered.' Also at the premiere, the film's fictional band Pink Slip surprised guests with a special performance prior to the screening, and Lohan was joined on the carpet by her Parent Trap co-stars Lisa Ann Walter and Elaine Hendrix.
