Dr Ranj, who appeared on ITV's This Morning and Lorraine shows, sued Cartland, 42, last year.
He reported him to the General Medical Council over further online abuse.
Strictly star Dr Ranj, 46, told a panel: 'I suffer anxiety due to abhorrent things Dr Cartland said about me. This has been a horrific experience.'
Cartland, of Redditch, Worcs, claimed that X was a place for 'rigorous debate'.
He apologised and admitted: 'I have reacted unwisely online.'
He was struck off over fears he 'would behave in a similar way in future'.
Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service chairman Claire Lindley said: ''The Tribunal was concerned about the persistent, threatening and abusive harassment of four separate complaints, over a sustained period of time. Dr Cartland has not shown any recognition of the extent of the impact and his conduct demonstrates a blatant disregard for good medical practise.
'Given the marked lack of insight and remediation, the Tribunal was concerned that Dr Cartland would behave in a similar way in future. ''
Dr. Ranj Singh took part in Strictly Come Dancing in 2018, making it to week 7 before being eliminated.
He qualified as a doctor in 2003 and works as a children's doctor.

Wynne Evans jokes about the 'dark side' in latest post as he plugs new radio show after leaving the BBC following Strictly controversy
Wynne Evans joked about leaving the 'dark side' in his latest post plugging his new radio show on Thursday. The Strictly contestant and opera singer's career has been left struggling in the last six months after he made a controversial joke during his time preparing for the Strictly tour in January. He used a vile sexual innuendo and was also caught up in a 'wandering hand' incident with dance partner Katya Jones, who seemed to remove his arm from her lower waist on the show. After the BBC launched an investigation into his conduct, bosses decided not to renew his radio contract for his show. Wynne has now launched a new daily radio show called The Wynne Evans Show, broadcasting live every weekday from 9am to 12pm on his website, following his departure from BBC Radio Wales. He was promoting on his Instagram Story on Thursday as he shared an image of this show graphics along with the slogan above which read: 'Even he's left the dark side.' 'This show is for my community – The Wynners – who've supported me through thick and thin,' Wynne previously said. 'It's a space where we can come together every morning, share a laugh, play the music we love, and just be ourselves.' It comes after last week Wynne confirmed a brand new business venture amid fears he's split from his new fiancée Liz Brookes. He took to Instagram to share the news that he has joined up with a restaurant in his hometown. The Welsh House Carmarthen shared a video of Wynne to their Instagram confirming that the former Strictly Come Dancing star is joining as a partner in the business. In the clip, Wynne confirmed the venue would be renamed The Welsh House by Wynne and will see him cook 'MasterChef' style dishes. After his BBC Wales radio show was cut, Wynne also confirmed he will be hosting a brand new programme from the restaurant and bar. Proudly showing off his hometown, he revealed: 'One thing that is changing is The Welsh House, it's going to become The Welsh House by Wynne! 'I promise you it will have MasterChef dishes on the menu, it's going to have a warm welcome and I want you to come and see me, OK? The Strictly contestant and opera singer's career has been left struggling in the last six months after he made a controversial joke during his time preparing for the Strictly tour in January (seen with partner Katya Jones) 'It's going to be the home of the radio show as well, so get in touch with us, make your bookings and I'll see you soon - I better get cooking!' In a caption, The Welsh House added: 'We're thrilled to welcome Wynne Evans, iconic Welsh opera singer, presenter, and legend as a new partner in our Carmarthen family! 'A proud local and passionate champion of Welsh food, drink, and culture, Wynne brings unmatched energy and love for the town to help us create something truly special. Big things are coming… The Welsh House by Wynne.' The Sun claimed Wynne is opening the restaurant to 'capitalise' on his 2023 Celebrity MasterChef win and to 'distract' himself amid reports of his separation from Liz. 'He's opening a restaurant focusing on Welsh food to distract from the Liz separation,' a source told the publication. 'He paid the Welsh House to take over their existing space.' 'He is trying to capitalise on his MasterChef win apparently,' they added. It is not Wynne's latest side hustle as he also recently started work as an Airbnb host, leasing out a property in Llansteffan - eight miles away from his hometown. MailOnline contacted Wynne's representatives for comment. In recent weeks, Wynne sparked fears of a split from his new fiancée Liz after deleting his engagement post from Instagram and unfollowing her. MailOnline also revealed Liz no longer follows Wynne, who only proposed to the events company boss last month. He got down on one knee during a romantic trip to Morocco and documented the gesture on Instagram, posting snaps of him proposing and a close-up of Liz's ring. He wrote: 'Big news… I got engaged! 'This weekend in Morocco, somewhere between the couscous, the camels, and me limping around the souks like a man with no spatial awareness, I proposed to Liz — and she said yes! (No take-backs, I've checked.) 'She's clever, she's kind, she's got excellent taste in men. 'Absolutely no idea how I pulled that off, but here we are! Feeling very lucky, very happy, and just a tiny bit smug.' However, the picture has now mysteriously disappeared from his account, as have any mentions of his fiancée. Wynne was previously married to wife seven years, Tanwen - the mother of his two kids - but they split in 2016. Wynne and Liz then met in 2024 shortly before his stint on the BBC1 dancing show, and Liz was often sat in the audience during the live shows. After his BBC Wales show was cut, Wynne announced that he would be launching a new radio show - which he has now confirmed he will record from The Welsh House. In May, he wrote on Instagram: 'The Wynne Evans Show is coming back, live every day from 9am - 12pm on a new app, on Alexa and Google (we don't have to say 'smart speaker' anymore!) and at 'This is our next adventure. And I need you more than ever. We will have great music, my question of the day, the mystery voice, your soundtrack stories and so much more, because we have each other again.' Wynne's show wasn't renewed after it emerged he used sexual innuendo during the Strictly Live Tour and was also caught up in a 'wandering hand' incident with dance partner Katya Jones, who seemed to remove his arm from her lower waist on the show. After the BBC launched an investigation into his conduct, bosses decided not to renew his radio contract for his show. Then, it was revealed that his travelogue series with Joanna Page was cancelled after just one series. The programme originally aired in February and March of this year and was placed on ice when Wynne was dropped from the Strictly tour before returning to screens. An insider told The Sun: 'Once the first series was slapped on ice, there was always a huge question mark hanging over the prospect of a second outing. 'Only now has the BBC publicly confirmed it won't be returning. 'It means that Wynne has no TV show or radio show with the Beeb, and effectively marks the end of their relationship.'

This Morning's Cat Deeley 'close to tears' after receiving blood test results live on air
Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard were left shocked when a doctor explained the results of their tests that really shook the pair. Cat Deeley was nearly in tears after what was described a "nightmare" examination by medics revealed her "biological" age during Thursday's show. The host returned to her regular position on This Morning with Ben Shephard on Thursday. It marked her last programme before the summer holidays, and the pair of presenters were left fascinated to discover the concept of reducing one's age to better comprehend health and longevity. Dr Alka Patel, 53, outlined on the ITV show that she has managed to classify herself as a 20-year-old biologically, since a birthday represents merely "chronological age", whilst "biological age" relates more to cellular health and constitutes an "inner age". Terming the approach "younger ageing", she clarified that it all connects to lifespan and overall wellbeing. Both Ben, 50, and Cat, 48, had undergone blood testing, which considers their general health and fitness to establish a fresh figure for them. Former model Cat was nearly tearful as she observed the results arriving, feeling rather apprehensive about the test's findings as reported by the Mirror. Confessing what a dreadful ordeal the examination had initially been, she remarked: "It was a nightmare for me, doctors only had to attempt it twice. I was crying. I'm a terrible sleeper, but I'm very healthy, I eat well and I drink loads of water, and I do yoga. I could be like Gary Oldman in Dracula!" As the numbers continued to go down, Ben excalimed: "She's still going, I want a recount," and as the figure settled, an emotional Cat declared she "might cry," upon discovering her biological age was 33, making it 15 years below her actual age. Overwhelmed by the results, especially considering her lack of sleep, she expressed: "I might cry, I might actually cry. I don't know how I've done it because I certainly don't sleep and that is one of the most important factors!" Meanwhile, Ben was left bitter with his biological age being only four years younger, despite his keen attention to health and wellbeing. The doctor's advice to "be more Goldilocks" sparked amusement, with his co-host teasing about needing a wig and a bowl of porridge. Ben meanwhile confessed his primary focus on fitness is for mental wellbeing, stating: "For me, the health and wellness is much more important for me mentally rather than how I feel with the physical side of things." Having celebrated his 50th birthday in December, Ben boldly posed shirtless for a magazine cover. However, during a recent chat on ITV's Lorraine, he candidly updated fans on his health acknowledging that his body isn't quite the same as before. The television star couldn't hide his shy response as he sat alongside the Scottish host, who displayed the magazine cover on screen for viewers. The discussion then shifted to what it signified for Ben to feature on Men's Health's front page for the second time in his career. "You look fantastic but I know you work so hard to maintain your health and fitness," Lorraine gushed, whilst Ben acknowledged that despite being in excellent condition, reaching middle age has made him recognise the necessity of putting in additional work. Discussing his present health, Ben observed: "I'm very grateful to still be able to still be able to be fit and health and I know I've got various issues and my body's not quite what it used to be."

Game of Bones! Study reveals dogs' favourite TV programmes
Many dog owners enjoy snuggling up on the sofa to watch their favourite TV show with their pet. But if the remote was in your dog's paw, what would it choose to watch? According to scientists from Auburn University in Alabama, the answer is probably something featuring animals. In a new study, the researchers surveyed more than 450 dog owners about their pets' viewing habits. The results revealed that almost half (45 per cent) of the dogs reacted when they saw an animal on TV. In particular, the pooches took note when they spotted another dog barking or howling on screen. So, if you want to give your dog the ultimate movie night, it's best to stick on something like Bluey, Scooby Doo, or Crufts. 'Companion dogs experience a meaningful, object-filled world when they view television,' the researchers said. While most dogs are regularly exposed to televisions, their preferences for content have remained unclear until now. Writing in their study, published in Scientific Reports, the research team, led by Lane Montgomery, wrote: 'Because companion dogs are regularly exposed to televisions, it is pertinent to understand how dogs behaviorally respond to and interpret these types of stimuli from a welfare perspective.' To get to the bottom of it, the researchers recruited 453 owners, whose dogs ranged in age from two months to 16 years old. The participants were surveyed about their dogs' TV viewing habits. This included whether the owner tried to teach the dog to watch TV, the average number of hours per week the owner's TV is switched on, and the average number of seconds the dog pays attention to the TV. An analysis of the results revealed that on average, the dogs watched TV for 14 minutes and eight seconds in any one sitting. Other animals were the dogs' favourite thing to watch, with 45 per cent responding to animal content such as barking or howling. The researchers also found that the dogs' personalities influenced their viewing preferences. Dogs reported by their owners as excitable were more likely to follow objects on-screen - for example during tennis or football matches. Meanwhile, fearful or anxious dogs were more likely to respond to non-animal stimuli on screen, such as car horns or doorbells. 'The results suggested that dogs respond to television stimuli based upon both categories of stimuli (i.e., animal, non-animal) and upon types of behavior (i.e., behavior that suggests attendance to the stimuli versus behavior that suggests some expectation of the movements of the stimuli),' the researchers wrote. 'In addition, individual differences in temperament impacted the types of stimuli that dogs engaged with.' While the study might seem light-hearted, the researchers say the findings could have important implications. 'These temperament differences could inform training approaches to rectify problem behaviours towards TVs,' they concluded. WHAT ARE THE TEN COMMONLY HELD MYTHS ABOUT DOGS? It is easy to believe that dogs like what we like, but this is not always strictly true. Here are ten things which people should remember when trying to understand their pets, according to Animal behaviour experts Dr Melissa Starling and Dr Paul McGreevy, from the University of Sydney. 1. Dogs don't like to share 2. Not all dogs like to be hugged or patted 3. A barking dog is not always an aggressive dog 4. Dogs do not like other dogs entering their territory/home 5. Dogs like to be active and don't need as much relaxation time as humans 6. Not all dogs are overly friendly, some are shyer to begin with 7. A dog that appears friendly can soon become aggressive 8. Dogs need open space and new areas to explore. Playing in the garden won't always suffice 9. Sometimes a dog isn't misbehaving, it simply does not understand what to do or what you want 10. Subtle facial signals often preempt barking or snapping when a dog is unhappy
