Priyanka Chopra took to her Instagram on Monday and shared a lengthy note reflecting on her journey with this film. She posted some snaps from Kaminey and recalled receiving the film's offer while she was filming Dostana in Miami with John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan. She mentioned how she thought Vishal Bhardwaj would never cast her because of her "commercial' image at the time.
The Kaminey actor wrote, "Sweety Bhope. I was filming for Dostana in Miami, Florida with @tarun_mansukhani directing and @bachchan and @thejohnabraham starring. One cool evening after we wrapped shoot , I saw a missed call from Vishal Bhardwaj. What?? I had wanted to work with him forever and never thought he would cast me because of my 'commercial' image at the time."
She remembered Vishal Bhardwaj came to Miami to tell her the story of Kaminey and mentioned how her character had approximately 8 scenes in the film. Priyanka said Bhardwaj promised her of making something incredible for her in the film and expressed how "greedy" she was to work with him.
Priyanka mentioned that Kaminey proved to be a turning point in her career and confessed that she learned a lot from the director of the movie.
Praising her co-star Shahid Kapoor and more, she continued, "@shahidkapoor was sensational in his double role. #AmolGupte was unforgettable. I also met @mubinarattonsey for the first time on this set. Those were the times. 16 years ago! Thought I'd share the experience. Have any of you watched it?"
Set against the backdrop of the Mumbai underworld, Kaminey revolved around the rivalry between twins. Kaminey released on the big screens on August 14.
Speaking about Priyanka Chopra's upcoming film, the actress is set to be a part of SS Rajamouli's ambitious project, SSMB29, reportedly titled Globetrotter. With Priyanka, this movie features Mahesh Babu in the lead role.

I get that most of it is noise, but there are people who give you honest constructive feedback. So, I have learned how to separate noise from feedback.' But even with that attitude, sometimes the negativity gets to her too: 'I'm also on those platforms, and sometimes it hurts you and stings you a little. You feel why would someone be mean, why would they go personal, or why would they berate somebody. But then I choose to react better to it. I ask myself do I want to give up because I got bullied or I got hate or do I want to continue? I still believe in myself, and there are people who believe in me, so I can't complain much. But do I want more? Yes, of course I want more and better work.'

‘Please save us': ‘Spider-Man' wades through flooded Mumbai with toilet wiper to rescue people after heavy rains trigger waterlogging
Heavy rains lashed Mumbai and its suburbs over the past few days, triggering mayhem in the city, leaving several areas submerged and residents struggling through waterlogged roads. While visuals of flooded streets sparked outrage over the city's crumbling infrastructure, a video of a man dressed as Spider-Man, attempting to 'save' the city and its residents, has gone viral. In the clip, the man, popularly known as the 'Spider-Man of Mumbai' to his 78 lakh Instagram followers, can be seen in full costume navigating waterlogged streets. Armed with a toilet wiper, he gives the impression of trying to clear the flooding. 'Bahout paani khali karna h abhi (I need to clear many flooded areas),' he wrote in the caption of his Instagram post. Following heavy rain on the fifth consecutive day, the India Meteorological Department (IMD), on Wednesday, issued a red alert for Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, Raigad, and Ratnagiri districts, indicating intense to very intense rainfall spells accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds of 40-50 kmph. As per the data released by the Maharashtra Disaster Management Department, 21 people have lost their lives in rain and flood-related incidents between August 15 and 19.
