Matt Hardy Cautions Young Wrestlers Of Burning Bridges With Other Promotions On Social Media
TNA Tag Team Champion Matt Hardy urges Young Wrestlers to be cautious about burning bridges with other promotions.
During his The Extreme Life With Matt Hardy podcast, he emphasized that wrestlers should focus on their own work and keep a positive attitude, rather than criticizing other promotions publicly. 'One thing I would say is learn how to not be overly opinionated when you're talking about other promotions. Learn how to shut the hell up and just worry about what you're doing, speak positively, and stop talking negatively about other places.'

The TNA star warned the young wrestlers that being overly opinionated could hurt future opportunities, especially if a wrestler ends up released. 'Because if you do get to that point where you do get released and you're gone, then you've kind of screwed yourself up from going somewhere else. Pro wrestling is a small world in the big scheme of things… don't burn bridges before you have an opportunity to go somewhere else just in case.'
He also encouraged wrestlers to be smart about their use of social media instead of engaging in online negativity. 'If you're a wrestler, if you're a performer, be better than that, be smarter than that, and learn how to just talk about the things that are positive, the things that you like, and let your grievances go. The best thing you can possibly do is if there's something you don't like, just shut the hell up about it.' [H/T: wrestlingnews.co]

Matt Hardy says he doesn't understand what The Death Riders are trying to accomplish in AEW
Jon Moxley, the current AEW World Champion, leads the Death Riders. The group includes Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, PAC, and Marina Shafir. They came together at AEW All Out after turning on Bryan Danielson. Many fans are still unsure about their purpose and what they want to achieve in AEW, which Matt Hardy also agrees with.

Speaking on The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, Hardy spoke about the main event of AEW Dynasty and reiterated his comments from last week's show, where he believes the Death Riders faction has run its course. 'As I'd said last week before we ever got to the pay-per-view event… I feel it's one of those times where, you know, the Death Riders thing, it has pretty much run its course,' Matt Hardy said.
'I love Jon Moxley [and] I think in many ways, Jon Moxley is the heart and soul of AEW; I think he busts his ass for AEW. 'He takes these crazy risks and he puts it on the line for AEW week in and week out, no doubt, but I think it is time to go a different direction and try and start something new that could possibly catch fire. AEW really, really, really needs something to get hot and catch fire to kind of get their momentum back, I think so. I don't necessarily understand their whole mission at AEW, what are they trying to accomplish?'

Free agent Cedric Alexander is reportedly a significant person of interest for TNA Wrestling following his departure from WWE earlier this year. A new report from has shed light on the situation. According to the report, there's been a lot of talk about TNA interest in Alexander with some believing he may be starting soon for the company. While the deal is not yet official, the report shareda sense of optimism about the possibility. PWInsider noted that they haven't been able to 100% lock down that he's coming in, but where there's smoke, sometimes there is indeed fire. Many people would agree that Alexander's in-ring talent, he would be a great fit for the current TNA roster. Alexander was released by WWE in February 2025, after a period of being used sparingly on television. His 90-day non-compete clause has since expired, making him free to sign with any promotion. Alongside MVP, Bobby Lashley, and Shelton Benjamin, Alexander thrived, capturing the Raw Tag Team Championship with Benjamin during the group's impressive run. Known for his incredible athleticism and smooth in-ring style honed in promotions like Ring of Honor before his WWE tenure, Alexander is seen by many as a perfect fit for TNA Wrestling's dynamic X-Division or as an immediate contender in their main event scene. There has been a lot of speculation that he would be coming into AEW to join MVP, Lashley and Benjamin as the group now includes MJF. The theory was that MJF would be kicked out by a debuting Alexander. However, that doesn't seem likely now. Regardless, Alexander will be a good fit for any promotion that he signs with. Update On Kamille's AEW Absence, When She Might Return
Kamille hasn't been seen in AEW for months, but is she any closer to returning? The former NWA Women's Champion signed with AEW last year and was aligned with Mercedes Moné. That alliance was short-lived, and Kamille hasn't been seen since their split more than six months ago. Advertisement According to a new report from Fightful (via Fightful Select), those close to Kamille have been quiet about her inactivity in AEW, but it's apparently for a good reason. The outlet reports that similar to Wardlow, Kamille is also busy working on a television project that will 'have her busy through part of the summer.' It's unclear if Kamille met with Tony Khan and decided to keep her off TV until the project is completed, and talent was said to be 'in the dark' about her absence. Some reportedly felt that Tony Khan soured on the partnership with Moné. Other sources clarified that Mercedes was willing to work with Kamille and do a match. The match didn't happen, but it was at least discussed back in December 2024. Kamille left TV after splitting from Mercedes Moné on the November 27, 2024 episode of Dynamite. Is Kamille still under AEW contract? Kamille still has 'plenty of time left on her AEW deal,' but has not wrestled this year, aside from a battle royal appearance in February. Her last match in AEW was a loss to Kris Statlander on the October 30, 2024 episode of Dynamite. Advertisement She and Damaris Lewis spoke with WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard while promoting Queen of the Ring. The film features Kamille (billed as Kailey Latimer in the credits) as June Byers, while Lewis took on the role of Babs Wingo. Kamille was asked when fans could expect to see her back on TV. However, she indirectly declined to answer the question, and Lewis answered for her. 'My client has chosen not to comment on the matter at hand. But we are open to more questions,' Lewis replied. Released WWE Star R-Truth Has Strong Interest From Top Promotion: Report
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. The recent WWE departure of beloved veteran R-Truth was reportedly a financial decision made by the company. According to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, R-Truth's contract was so high that for the level they were using him they felt it made no sense to renew it. This news surprised some. He had literally just come off a program that led to a high-profile match with WWE Champ John Cena at Saturday Night's Main Event. Meltzer reported that the news of his exit was met with significant unhappiness within the WWE locker room. There were a lot of wrestlers who were very unhappy because he was so popular with the talent. WWE fans also voiced their support, with chants for R-Truth on the June 2nd episode of Raw after his departure became public. The situation was reportedly handled carefully backstage. Meltzer noted, "Talent was reportedly told no R-Truth T-shirts on Raw, but Rhea Ripley was wearing one backstage and took it off before going on TV." Meltzer stated that those in TNA have already said that they want to make him an offer, and for that company, he'll come in fairly hot. This would mark a significant homecoming for the star. Truth had a historic run in TNA from 2002 to 2007 between his WWE stints. Wrestling as Ron "The Truth" Killings, he became a main event player in TNA. In August 2002, he made history by defeating Ken Shamrock to become the first-ever recognized African-American NWA World Heavyweight Champion. It was a title he would go on to hold a second time. During his TNA tenure, he also showcased his charisma as a founding member of the popular 3Live Kru faction alongside Konnan and B.G. James (formerly Road Dogg in WWE). TNA is where he also held tag team gold. His time in TNA featured a more serious and aggressive persona compared to the comedic character he later perfected in his second, lengthy WWE run. It would also give him a chance to return to WWE if he so wanted to do so one day as TNA and WWE have a working relationship. More WWE News: For more on WWE, head to Newsweek Sports.
