Ed Sheeran wants to buy George Clooney's Batman costume Bang
Showbiz | Los Angeles
Ed Sheeran is planning to splash out thousands to snap up George Clooney's original Batman costume.
The 34-year-old singer treats himself to a piece of movie memorabilia every birthday and after previously buying Alicia Silverstone's Batgirl outfit from 1997's 'Batman and Robin', he's hoping to land her co-star's costume from his only outing as the Caped Crusader.
Ed said on Alex Cooper's 'Call her Daddy' podcast: 'I'm trying to get the George Clooney Batman costume ...
'I bought the Alicia Silverstone Batwoman [outfit], so it would be matching.(sic)'
The 'Azizam' hitmaker - who celebrated his birthday in February - previously splurged a huge amount on a 'Star Wars' replica.
He said: 'I bought C-3PO. That was not cheap. I do it every birthday. I just buy one prop a year.
'It's the thing I look forward to. I think all year, 'What am I going to get?''
Ed's lavish estate features a lake, a chapel, and a pub, and a tunnel connecting his private boozer to his main home is where his movie memorabilia is housed.
He said: 'In the tunnel, I built a listening room, and there's a cinema - it's less of a man cave and more of a man catacomb ...
'I collect movie props, too, so I've got all of that there.
'I'm a huge 'Hook' fan, so I bought Robin Williams' Pan costume and Julia Roberts' Tinker Bell costume.'

Ed Sheeran admits building his own village is ‘weird'
Bang Showbiz | Los Angeles Ed Sheeran admits building his own village is 'weird' but he just wanted to give his family some privacy. The pop star spent millions snapping up land and other homes around his mansion in Suffolk, England to create one massive estate which boasts a pub, a chapel and a lake - and Ed has revealed he just wanted some space where he could relax away from the spotlight. During an appearance on the 'Call Her Daddy' podcast, Ed explained: 'We built a chapel on our land, and we do Christmas carols there. 'And then after the Christmas carols, everyone comes in for mulled wine and mince pies and stuff. We can hold 40 or 50 people [in the pub], but it 'slike a crammed space ... 'I know it sounds weird to sort of build an infrastructure on your property where you don't have to leave it … There's certain moments you just want to spend with your family and not have someone filming you while you're doing it, especially whether it's something like that, like Christmas.' The pub he built is called the Lancaster Lock - a combination of the last names of his mother and his wife Cherry's mom - and is modelled on a boozer he used to go to as a teenager. He added of the space: 'You can never really let loose the way that you used to be able to, as in my teenage years, you know, you go to a pub to blow off steam. 'I think it sort of turned into, everyone always knew that I went to this place, and there was a dilapidated barn on my land. I was like, we could just turn it into a pub ... He went on to add that he's filled the pub with his movie prop collection and he's added a cinema and a listening room.

Robert Pattinson ate ‘nothing but salmon' for months
Bang Showbiz | Los Angeles Robert Pattinson has 'eaten nothing but salmon' for months. The 'Batman' actor insisted he's 'like a kid' with needing a routine when he's busy working on film sets, and recently he was having salmon for every meal of the day. He told GQ magazine: 'I'm kind of like a kid. I'm doing a lot of jobs in a row and I get very obsessed about needing to have regimented behavior — otherwise I'd feel crazy afterwards. 'But I was having lunch yesterday and I was like, I can't taste salmon anymore. And I realised I've eaten nothing but salmon for like, months. 'It's like I have a seal's diet: I genuinely have been eating salmon three times a day.' The 38-year-old star is no stranger to a fish-based diet, and he recalled a time where he would only tuck into canned tuna on film sets. He said: 'I used to only eat tuna out of a can when I was working — I just put Cholula hot sauce on a can of tuna. 'Someone saw me doing it once and they were like, that's absolutely disgusting. 'And then suddenly I kind of got afraid of mercury poisoning, so I switched to salmon. Someone told me I could just get mercury poisoning from salmon anyway. But yeah: I endorse.' The 'Twilight Saga' actor joked he also supports 'hyper-loading caffeine' early in the day. He quipped: 'I definitely endorse hyper-loading caffeine right at the beginning of the day. You just need to basically live your entire day in a kind of manic state. 'But I can't do Celsius — it's too much. That feels like I've kind of gotten on a roller coaster and I can't get off it. 'My favorite thing is instant coffee, more than anything else. It's very English. I like it when it looks like oil — that's what my espresso is, just barely dissolved coffee granules.'
