The Shanghai International Circuit is renowned for its distinctive layout, which mirrors the Chinese character shang, meaning 'superior'. This world-class track offers a demanding blend of high-speed straights and tight technical corners, including the famous loop of Turns 1 and 2.
The 3.051 km clockwise configuration being used for the electric car race is a shortened version of the traditional Grand Prix layout.
It allows for more racing laps while maintaining the dynamic elements that define Formula E. Notably, the Attack Mode activation zone is positioned on the outside of the long right-hander at Turn 2.
