Val Kilmer Reportedly Was Bedridden for Years Before His Death

Yahoo03-04-2025

Actor was bedridden for years before his death, his family members have claimed. After years of struggling with his health, the veteran actor passed away from pneumonia. Best known for his roles in Top Gun and Batman Forever, Kilmer had battled throat cancer since his 2014 diagnosis, which significantly impacted his health in recent years. His daughter confirmed his passing in a statement released yesterday.
According to a new TMZ report, Val Kilmer's health had deteriorated significantly as he battled several health issues. A source from Kilmer's family claimed that the actor's cancer treatment took a toll on him. Following the treatment, he was bedridden for a long time.
Even though his cancer treatment was ultimately successful, its impact was something Kilmer's body could not handle. The source further noted that Kilmer was very frail at the end of his life. Right before his tragic demise, his health declined even further in his final week. His friends and family members stayed by his side until his last moment.
The source also revealed that Kilmer's Instagram video, posted in February, in which he wears a Batman mask, was taken years ago. Therefore, the clip does not reflect how he looked in the last couple of months of his life.
Meanwhile, Kilmer stepped away from public life for a few years. His last formal appearance was at the Thespians Go Hollywood Gala in 2019, where he posed with his daughter, Mercedes.
Though he wasn't showing up for events, Kilmer's social media profiles were pretty active. He had launched his signed, 'one-of-a-kind pieces' of mementos for fans on February 17. He shared his last artwork on March 23.
Kilmer captioned his work, writing, 'It's got that late-night glow. Cool tones with a low burn, like when the camp fire cools down but you're still wide awake. 12' x 20' plexi-glazed, signed, and ready to hang.'
All of his paintings were available on his official website before his passing. However, since his death, fans have been unable to purchase any of the original paintings. Apparel with the 'Val' logo is still available for purchase.

Todd Chrisley breaks social media silence after 2 years: Here's what he said

Todd Chrisley breaks social media silence after 2 years: Here's what he said Show Caption Hide Caption Todd Chrisley speaks after Trump pardon, release from prison Reality TV star Todd Chrisley made his first public statement after he and his wife Julie received a pardon from President Donald Trump. Todd Chrisley has broken his social media silence for the first time since he went to prison for bank fraud and tax evasion. On June 12, the 56-year-old "Chrisley Knows Best" star took to Instagram to celebrate one of his children's achievements. Youngest son Grayson Chrisley, 19, made the dean's list after his first semester at the University of Alabama. "God is good all the time, @graysonchrisley," Todd captioned his post. "I love you to the moon and back and we couldn't be more proud, you have shown great character and fortitude and stood with your lord and savior amidst the fire and came out the other side never smelling of smoke, you are proof of (God's) word." The caption continued, "Stand tall, stand true and stand for your fellow brothers in Christ. I love you Gray Gray." More than 14,000 undergraduate students who earned a GPA of at least 3.5 made UA's dean's list in the spring semester; those who earn a 4.0 end up on the president's list. Fall semester enrollment totaled around 34,000 students, with spring enrollment numbers not yet released. Where does Grayson Chrisley go to college? Older sister Savannah Chrisley, 27, announced Grayson was moving to college in January. She shared clips from move-in day, captioning the post, "And just like that… my baby brother is off to college. Moving Grayson into the University of Alabama this weekend has been one of the hardest and most beautiful moments of my life. The past two years, Gray had every reason to give up, but instead, he showed up for himself and for the people he loves." Savannah continued, "We've never been apart… ever. And my heart feels like it's shattered into a million pieces. But my overwhelming sadness is matched only by the pride I feel watching him chase his dreams." What happened to Julie and Todd Chrisley? Todd's post came more than two weeks after he was released from FPC Pensacola in Florida, where he'd served more than two years of his nine-year prison sentence, following a full pardon from President Trump. When asked during a May 30 press conference whether he had any remorse for the crimes for which he was convicted, Todd said, "I'd have remorse if it was something that I did." In June 2022, Todd and wife Julie Chrisley, who portrayed themselves as real estate tycoons in the South on their USA Network shows, were found guilty of conspiring to defraud community banks in Atlanta out of more than $36 million. The pair was accused of running a scheme that, through fraudulent loans, defrauded the IRS and committed tax evasion. Julie Chrisley was additionally convicted of obstruction of justice and wire fraud. Trump pardons reality TV stars Todd and Julie Chrisley President Trump called Savannah Chrisley from the Oval Office in the White House to tell her he wanted to pardon her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley. Todd Chrisley was initially sentenced to 12 years in prison, while Julie Chrisley received a seven-year sentence, and both reported to their respective federal prisons in January 2023. On May 27, Trump called the Chrisleys' middle daughter, Savannah Chrisley, to let her know her parents were "going to be free and clean, and I hope we can do it by tomorrow." When Savannah took the podium at the May 30 press conference, she announced that the "Chrisley Knows Best" stars would be returning to reality television. Filming has apparently already begun on a new show that will document the reunification of Todd and Julie Chrisley.

Kylie Jenner Fans Get In Line For What She Had After Breast Augmentation Comment

Kylie Jenner's plastic surgeon is reaping the rewards of working with the socialite and her famous family as fans flood him with orders. Dr. Garth Fisher became a trending topic on social media after "The Keeping Up With The Kardashians" alum credited him for her breast augmentation surgery. The shout-out, followed by her mom Kris Jenner's tribute, sent many rushing over to the plastic surgeon's doorstep. Kylie Jenner's honesty about her cosmetic procedure comes nearly a year after her emotional reflection on undergoing surgery as a teen. She got vulnerable about the pressure of being in the spotlight, dealing with body image issues, and postpartum depression. Dr. Fisher's popularity skyrocketed after a fan's comment about Kylie's banging body caught the entertainer's attention. The individual noted they wanted to have perfect breasts like Kylie, who happily spilled the details of her cosmetic procedure. "445 cc, moderate profile, half under the muscle!!!!! silicone!!! garth fisher!!! hope this helps lol," Kylie penned in the comments, unknowingly sparking a storm of orders for Dr. Fisher. His office revealed they have been overwhelmed by calls from fans trying to achieve the entertainer's figure. These plastic surgery hopefuls all requested consultations with Kylie's exact breast augmentation recommendations and used her body as their inspiration for other procedures. The list, according to TMZ, included cosmetic procedures such as liposuction or a tummy tuck. The massive scale of those needing Dr. Fisher's expertise might not only be influenced by Kylie's comment. The Blast shared that her mom, Kris, also got fans talking about the cosmetic surgeon after revealing she had worked with him. She dropped her tribute to Dr. Fisher underneath his thank you post to Kylie for the shout-out. Kris shared that the surgeon performed her first facelift operation in 2011, describing it as "the most amazing experience ever" thanks to his fantastic skills. Kris explained that Dr. Fisher allowed her reality TV show's crew to film her operation to dispel the worries of interested parties. She also credited him as the face being most of her family's cosmetic procedures, noting he was a "treasured friend" who always took "great care" of them. Although Kylie confidently revealed her breast augmentation details, she was not always someone who could share such information without worries. Last August, she got candid about her plastic surgery journey in her story for British Vogue's "Big Fashion Issue." Kylie revealed that she felt pressured by the public from a young age and wondered if she should not have had a boob job in her teens. Looking back, she claimed there were a lot of responsibilities on her shoulders, but she chose to be kind to her younger self instead of dwelling in regret. "I was just trying to do what was best for me. I was just trying my best as a human. I have to realize: 'It's OK, Kylie.' Looking back, I'm like, 'God, I was 17, 18,'" she said. Unfortunately, the pressure did not stop after she became a mom, welcoming daughter Stormi and son Aire with her ex-partner Travis Scott. While reflecting on her two pregnancies, Kylie confessed that she still felt the pain of the criticisms she endured over her body. She claimed the public didn't give her and other women "enough empathy," recalling how people compared pictures of her online and accused her of using drugs like Ozempic. It wasn't enough that she struggled with her body image; Kylie noted she also suffered from postpartum depression twice after welcoming her children. "I think, being pregnant, I wore sweatpants every day, I didn't have time to figure out even some of the little things in my life, and then postpartum lasted a year," she explained. "Mentally, it's really hard. Hormonally, it's really hard. I didn't know how to dress. It hit me differently both times. Probably with my son, it was major baby blues, so I was just so emotional over things that I probably wouldn't be that emotional about," Kylie lamented. Fortunately, she overcame these challenging periods and regained her confidence as a woman and a mom. Kylie revealed the secret behind her glowing skin in April, and a staffer at The Blast saw positive results from the routine. In the post, the socialite shared the products she used to achieve her "glass skin," with Medicube's PDRN Pink Peptide Serum at the top of the list. The serum featured a glow-enhancing formula that targets uneven tone and improves elasticity. The product did wonders on the staff's skin, with reports of noticeable differences after a few uses. It offered super hydration, was non-irritating, and left their skin feeling supple, smooth, and replenished. Kyle's face routine featured more Medicube products, including the company's Age-R Booster Pro – Pink, a spa-inspired device that promised to transform the user's skincare game from the comfort of their home. Kylie also used Medicube's Kojic Acid Turmeric Wrapping Mask and their Kojic Acid Turmeric Gel Mask. What other beauty secrets with Kylie Jenner share?
