Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 fresh leak leaves little to the imagination before rumoured July 9 launch

July is fast approaching, and so is the Galaxy Unpacked event, which is rumoured to take place on July 9. At this event, Samsung is expected to announce a range of foldables and wearables. However, the spotlight of the show — as it always has been with mid-year Unpacked events — will be on the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. That said, we don't need to wait until July to know about the upcoming Samsung foldables, as the duo — Fold and Flip — have leaked in all their glory, leaving little to the imagination. advertisementFolks over at Android Headlines have got their hands on some alleged 'official' renders of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. Both phones look amazing, especially in the new blue colour and how sleek they appear. Speaking of which, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is super thin, and you only realise it when you see it next to the Galaxy Z Fold 6.

Without further ado, let's start with the details on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7. This phone is said to come in two colours: Jet Black and Blue Shadow. The latter shade will remind you of the Galaxy S24's blue variant, and it looks absolutely fire. Apart from this, the rumours about its slimness are also turning out to be true — or at least if the leaks are to be believed. The phone looks astonishingly slim against the Galaxy Z Fold 6, and it will reportedly measure between 3.9mm and 4.5mm in thickness when unfolded. For perspective, the OPPO Find N5 is currently the thinnest foldable, with a 4.2mm thickness when unfolded. Will the Fold 7 beat it? We'll find out soon.

In terms of weight, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to weigh 215 grams — making it 24 grams lighter than the Galaxy Z Fold 6, and about 14 grams lighter than the OPPO Find N5. To give you a sense, the Galaxy S25 Ultra weighs 218 grams. So, if you've ever held one of those, you may get somewhat of an idea of how the Fold 7 might feel in the hand.Apart from this, other leaks suggest the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will feature a 6.5-inch cover display along with an 8.2-inch inner display. It is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip and is rumoured to come with a triple-rear camera system, led by a 200-megapixel primary sensor.Coming to the Galaxy Z Flip 7 — this one is about to get sleeker than ever. Again, not that the Galaxy Z Flip 6 was bulky or anything, but looking at the renders and when you see the Galaxy Z Flip 7 next to the Flip 6, it's hard not to notice how the upcoming model is substantially slimmer. We also expect it to be lighter than the previous model. For context, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 measures 6.9mm when unfolded and weighs 187 grams.

Other than this, the renders also confirm an earlier leak about the Galaxy Z Flip 7 getting a larger cover screen. This is rumoured to be 4 inches in size, compared to the 3.4-inch cover screen on the Flip 6. Also, similar to the Fold, the renders show the Galaxy Z Flip 7 in the Blue Shadow and Jet Black colourways.

Other rumours suggest a Snapdragon 8 Elite or the Exynos 2500 chip under the hood, paired with a 4,000mAh battery and at least 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The camera setup is also expected to remain the same as the older Flip 6 — i.e. a 50-megapixel primary sensor paired with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera, along with a 10-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls.All said — while the renders and leaks share a lot of information about Samsung's foldables, and as we said, leave very little to the imagination — these are, at the end of the day, just leaks.
